Chapter 91 - Chapter 91: Beerus Feat

The arena was a vast expanse, as wide as a planet, yet the Gods of Destruction stood concentrated within a single, desolate desert. The moment Beerus landed, he felt the heavy gaze of the other gods closing in on him. Their eyes glinted with a mix of predatory excitement and ill intent.

Beerus dug his heel into the sand, his voice dripping with disdain. "What? Planning to gang up on me again?"

He had questioned the Grand Minister earlier only because he found the prospect of fighting tedious. Now that the battle was unavoidable, fear was the last thing on his mind.

"Isn't it obvious?" Quitela replied, stretching his limbs. His usually sickly, pale complexion had turned a manic shade of red from sheer anticipation.

"Quitela, you've barely got half a life left in you," Beerus said, his eyes turning ice-cold. "You still think you can take me?" He hadn't forgotten the rat's attempt to send assassins after Gelan; that debt was yet to be settled.

"You—!" Quitela's forehead pulsed with veins. Mentioning his weakened state clearly struck a nerve.

"Why waste your breath on him?" Belmod interrupted, placing a firm hand on Quitela's shoulder. Under normal circumstances, the clown might have used the chaos of a battle royale to backstab other gods, but today his objective was singular: break Beerus first.

Belmod scanned the surrounding circle: the furry Iwan, the diminutive Sidra, the elegant Heles, the mechanical Mosco, the bandaged Arack, the vulpine Liquiir, the elephantine Rumsshi, and the aquatic Giin. Nearly every god radiated a shared desire to crush Universe 7.

Finally, Belmod looked at Champa. "Champa, what about you? Are you in, or are you sitting this one out?"

Normally, he wouldn't have even bothered asking; Champa's hatred for Beerus usually eclipsed everyone else's. But the way Champa had been whispering to Beerus earlier made Belmod suspicious. A circle of cold glares shifted toward Champa, warning him to choose the winning side.

"Me?" Champa's lips curled into a crooked smirk. "Since when have I ever backed down from a chance to pummel Beerus?"

"You fat traitor!" Beerus roared. He had just agreed to let Gelan help Universe 6, and here was his brother, ready to stab him in the back.

"Then let's go!" Beerus's expression went flat—a sure sign he was genuinely livid.

Eleven Gods of Destruction tightened the circle. The air between them ignited. The mere collision of their combined pressure sent tremors through the World of Void.

Despite their numbers, no one moved first. They were all gauging the same thing: Just how much stronger has he become?

Millions of years ago, Beerus had only just entered the early stage of Level 7 in the Divine Realm. That was already an immense level of power. Yet, even back then, despite Quitela also being at Level 7, the eleven of them combined couldn't pin Beerus down.

There were three reasons for that: Beerus possessed a version of Ultra Instinct that the others hadn't mastered. He had perfected his Ultra Ego state. His Physical Instinct was at the peak of Level 5, his Destruction Rules at Level 8, and his mental state had reached Selflessness.

In every technical category, he outclassed them.

As the gods analyzed Beerus, he was doing the same to them. Quitela, his oldest rival, was strong, but he had stalled. While he once sat at Level 7, his recent punishment by Zeno had stripped him of his power, reducing him to Level 6. He was effectively hobbled.

Aside from him, only Champa and Rumsshi were worth noting. Both were at Level 6 of the Divine Realm, with Destruction levels to match. The only edge Champa had was a Level 4 Physical Instinct, which kept him ahead of the elephant.

Then there was Belmod. The clown was mediocre—only Level 4 in Divine Power, with basic instincts and Destruction rules around Level 5.

"I thought you were going to attack?" Beerus beckoned them forward with a lazy wave of his hand, a smirk playing on his lips. "Don't waste my time. Come at me all at once!"

"Arrogant fool!" the gods roared.

The void exploded as they unleashed their full power. Divine energy—holy, vast, and terrifying—erupted from their bodies. Levels 4, 5, and 6... if they were in the mortal universe, this discharge alone would have vaporized all twelve galaxies.

A purple storm of Hakai energy swirled, accompanied by a haunting, divine melody that seemed to sing of the end of days.

From above, it looked like a whirlpool of destruction with Beerus at the center—a lone lamb about to be swallowed by a tide of wolves. But Beerus didn't flinch. In fact, he looked like he wanted to laugh.

"What a bunch of washouts," Beerus muttered. "Millions of years, and this is all the progress you've made?"

Among the group, only Champa and Rumsshi had made significant gains, reaching the peak of Level 6. The others had barely moved from the early stages to the mid-ranks of their respective levels.

"NOW!" someone screamed. Eleven gods lunged simultaneously.

Beerus was prepared to unleash his full might to blow them all away, but suddenly, chaos erupted within the attacking group!

"HAKAI!"

Champa struck. He didn't target Beerus; he slammed his destruction energy into the gods closest to him. Caught completely off guard, Sidra, Iwan, and Arack were blasted backward as the rules of destruction tore at their forms.

"Champa, what are you doing?!"

"You've lost your mind! We're supposed to be taking out Beerus!"

The three gods struggled to fend off the eroding energy.

"Who said I was on your side?" Champa shouted, instantly appearing at Beerus's back. He sneered at the others. "Beerus is my brother. I'd have to be insane to help you lot gang up on my own flesh and blood!"

Champa had sparred with Beerus a few years ago; he knew exactly how terrifying his brother had become. Opposing him now wasn't just a bad idea—it was suicide.

"You... you backstabbing coward!" Belmod shrieked. "You were the one who hated him most!"

Champa's eyes flickered, but he stood firm. "Save it. This time, I'm fighting alongside my brother. And in the upcoming Battle Royale, Universe 6 and Universe 7 stand together!" He was burning his bridges, giving Beerus a public declaration of loyalty.

"You're dead meat, Champa!" the remaining gods bellowed.

Quitela stepped forward first, thrusting his palms out. A wave of purple light blanketed the horizon—Level 8 Destruction Rules. At this level, reality didn't just break; it withered into nothingness.

"Is that... Level 8?!" The other gods gasped in awe.

Even the Angels above shifted their stances. "Lord Quitela's talent is indeed formidable," Awamo of Universe 1 noted. "To reach Level 8 in Destruction in such a short span is impressive."

While the other Angels praised the rat, Whis, Vados, Cus, and the Grand Minister remained perfectly still. Their silence drew the attention of the others.

"Satisfactory choice, Champa," Beerus said calmly. Then he turned his gaze to Quitela. "And as for you... You haven't gained an ounce of raw power, but I see you've refined your Destruction Rules. Too bad..."

Beerus's aura flared, turning a deep, menacing violet that seemed to swallow the light.

"It's still not enough. Watch this!"

BOOM!

A second shockwave of purple energy erupted from Beerus. It was darker, denser, and infinitely more terrifying. As it expanded, the void itself groaned. Time warped, and the fabric of "nothingness" twisted like scorched paper. It was a primordial explosion of power that consumed everything in its path.

"What?!"

"This... this is Level 9 Destruction!"

"How is this possible?!"

The gods were paralyzed with disbelief. Under the crushing weight of Beerus's Level 9 rules, Quitela's attack didn't just lose—it dissolved.

"I don't believe it!" Quitela screamed, his face turning ashen. "You spend all your time sleeping! How could someone like you reach the ninth level?!"

In the face of Beerus's absolute dominance, the other gods finally threw themselves into the fray, desperate to equalize the pressure. The desert began to disintegrate, falling apart into the endless void.

Above the carnage, the Angels stood in stunned silence.

"So, Lord Beerus has ascended again," Sawa of Universe 2 whispered. "No wonder you three didn't say a word."

"It's like we said," Cus remarked, shaking her head as she watched the light show below. "Reaching Level 9 isn't just 'impressive' anymore. It means Lord Beerus is officially qualified to step into the realm of the Angels."

The Angels turned to the Grand Minister, seeking his confirmation. He merely smiled. "Why are you looking at me? Your sister is right."

He looked down at Beerus with a gaze that had cooled slightly. Universe 7 was truly an anomaly—Angels, Destroyers, Candidates, and even the Supreme Kai were all becoming exceptionally powerful. And yet, this was the universe ranked second-to-last.

Whis ignored his siblings' shock and watched the battlefield. He knew something they didn't: Beerus hadn't just mastered Destruction. In those millions of years, his raw Divine Power had reached a new peak as well.
