Down on the arena floor, the twelve Gods of Destruction took the Grand Minister's request to "test" the stage quite literally. They held nothing back.
Under the relentless assault of their terrifying Destruction energy, the planet-sized arena was wiped from existence in an instant.
The gods now hovered in the endless purple haze of the World of Void. It was Beerus and Champa, standing back-to-back, against... well, everyone else. Or more accurately, the other ten were desperately trying to hold their ground against the two brothers.
Two massive tides of violet light clashed, sending shockwaves of Hakai energy rippling through the vacuum, birthing jagged bolts of divine lightning that crackled across the void.
"I was going to leave you all alone, but then you had to try and gang up on me—again!" Beerus sneered. He pushed forward with a single hand, the weight of his Level 9 Destruction Rules effortlessly driving back the combined might of ten other gods. "Don't blame me for what happens next!"
Seeing this, Champa's portly frame shook with manic glee. This was the legendary "carrying" he had heard so much about, and it felt incredible.
"You pieces of trash! You really thought you could touch my brother? Watch as I wipe you out with one hand!" Champa shouted, mimicking Beerus's pose.
In truth, Beerus likely didn't even need him there, but Champa wasn't about to miss the chance to talk big.
"Damn it! How did he get this strong?!" Quitela screeched.
"Level 9 rules... we can't stop it! It's too much!"
"Fall back! Move!"
The ten gods—Quitela the rat, Belmod the clown, Rumsshi the elephant, Heles the goddess, Liquiir the fox, Giin the sea monster, Mosco the machine, Arack the mummy, Sidra the dwarf, and Iwan the fur-ball—watched in horror as their collective energy began to evaporate like snowflakes hitting a red-hot iron.
Their defensive line was shattered, and they scattered in every direction.
Sidra, being the slowest, was nearly caught in the direct path of the discharge. Had he been hit by Beerus's full-throttle Hakai, he would have been erased on the spot.
"Years ago, your little ambush actually put some pressure on me," Beerus called out, his voice echoing through the void.
"But things are different now. I've reached a new peak, and that rat over there is half-dead from Lord Zeno's punishment. How do you plan on stopping me?"
He turned to his brother. "Champa, go hunt down Sidra and the other weaklings. Leave the rest to me."
Beerus's eyes locked onto Quitela. You sent assassins after my candidate? Today, I break you.
His purple aura exploded, turning into a deep, jagged flame. Perfected Ultra Ego! The moment he entered this state, a majestic, crushing power flooded the World of Void.
"This... this is the peak of Level 7 in the Divine Realm!" Quitela gasped, his face turning even paler. "That scrawny cat didn't just master the rules; his raw physical power has hit the limit!"
Up above, the Angels were once again stunned. "It appears Lord Beerus has reached the absolute ceiling for a God of Destruction," Martinu of Universe 12 whispered. "Any further, and he'll be stepping into the realm of a Half-Step Angel."
Marcarita nodded solemnly. "No wonder Cus said he had the potential to join our ranks. She wasn't exaggerating."
Whis basked in the praise of his siblings, wearing a proud, cat-like grin. This was his masterpiece. Vados, meanwhile, ground her teeth in silent envy. Not only was Beerus a monster, but Whis also had Gran—the real ace—waiting in the wings.
"Could you all be a little quieter?" the Grand Minister interrupted, his voice calm yet cold. "I spent so much time building that arena, and they've already dismantled it. It's actually quite annoying."
The Angels looked down and realized the arena was truly gone. Not a single pebble or grain of sand remained; the collision of Hakai energy had atomized every atom. A collective shiver ran down the spines of the Angels—even the oldest, Cus, felt the weight of her father's slight irritation.
Back in the thick of it, a purple flash streaked across the void, catching up to Quitela in the blink of an eye.
"Hey, rat. Remember when you tried to kill Gran while I was at the Destroyer summit? Payback time!"
Beerus coiled his fist, concentrating the peak of Level 7 Divine Power into a single point. The sheer pressure was so immense that it began to bleed out of the World of Void and into the external dimensions. Space cracked like glass, and time itself seemed to freeze under the weight of his killing intent. This wasn't a spar; Beerus was aiming for a God-Slaying blow.
"Beerus, you've lost it!" Quitela's heart hammered against his ribs. He knew Beerus wasn't bluffing. Even at full health, he couldn't stop this, let alone in his currently weakened state. But he had no choice. He threw both fists forward to meet the strike.
BOOM!
The collision was like a Second Big Bang. The light was blindingly beautiful and infinitely lethal.
"Damn, the pressure from those two is insane!"
"Get back! Guard up!"
Iwan, Sidra, and Arack—who were currently being harassed by Champa—were forced to abandon their fight to reinforce their own barriers. The shockwave hammered against the gods' protective shields with the force of exploding stars.
When the light dimmed, the result was clear. Beerus's fist remained pressed against Quitela's, and the raw Level 7 Peak energy was shattering the rat's defenses. A sickening crack echoed as Quitela's arm bones snapped.
"AAAAAGH! IT HURTS!" Quitela screamed, his face contorted in agony. "Beerus, you maniac! Are you actually trying to kill me?!"
Beerus didn't answer. His expression was a mask of cold fury. He had promised Gran revenge, and he intended to deliver. "HAKAI!" he roared, thrusting his palm forward. A concentrated sphere of Level 9 Destruction energy chased after the retreating rat.
"Stupid...! I won't let it end like this!" Quitela snarled. Realizing he couldn't outrun it, he stopped and prepared to counter. He was terrified, and he deeply regretted ever provoking Beerus. Why was I so stubborn?! "What are you idiots waiting for?! If I go down, you're next! MOVE!"
Belmod and the others snapped out of their shock. Quitela was right—if Beerus finished him off, they were all sitting ducks.
Seven gods simultaneously ignited their Ultra Ego states. Under the weight of their desperate resolve, their power flared toward their respective peaks. The melee truly began. It was a 1-vs-7 brawl for Beerus and a 1-vs-3 for Champa.
To a mortal eye, it would have been a blur of purple light, but at this level, it was a masterpiece of martial arts. Every punch, kick, and parry was executed with the refined combat instinct of millions of years. It was like a perfectly choreographed action film, with the stakes being the universe's survival.
"Hah!"
"Take this!"
Twelve streaks of purple light wove through the void, clashing from above, below, left, and right. Every strike carried the weight of a God of Destruction's will, making the World of Void feel like it was boiling.
But within thirty seconds, the tide turned. The seven gods surrounding Beerus began to accumulate heavy damage. Beerus was too dominant—his power was too "heavy." He switched seamlessly between Ultra Ego to tank hits and Ultra Instinct to evade them, systematically dismantling them.
Crunch! Mosco's armored plating was caved in.
Snap! A well-placed kick broke Heles's leg.
Splatter! Belmod's iconic red nose was smashed flat.
Pop! One of Rumsshi's large ears was caught in an energy discharge and shredded.
Crash! A direct hook shattered Quitela's teeth.
Rip! Three of Liquiir's nine tails were severed.
Flash! Giin was blinded in one eye.
The World of Void was filled with the collective screams of the fallen gods.
On the other side, Champa had just knocked Sidra into a stupor when he heard the carnage coming from Beerus's direction. He looked over and nearly jumped out of his skin. He was struggling to take down three, and Beerus was currently beating the absolute life out of seven at once!
The Angels watching from above fell into a stunned silence once more.
"If Lord Quitela hadn't been injured, they might have stood a chance," Marcarita sighed. "But with him hobbled and Champa peeling off three of them, they're just fodder for Lord Beerus now."
"Even at full strength, it was only a matter of time," Cognac added. "Beerus has entered a completely different league. He is, without question, the Strongest Destroyer."
"It's his ability to switch between the two 'Instincts' at will," Awamo noted. "As long as he can do that, the others simply can't touch him."
Cus glanced at Vados and smiled. "We're all praising Lord Beerus, but don't forget—Lord Champa is holding his own against three opponents quite impressively."
The Angels turned their attention to Champa. "True," Sawa remarked. "To take on three and already incapacitate one... he really is Beerus's twin. That bloodline is something else."
Vados's lips curled into a smirk. She had trained Champa well, and seeing him finally show some backbone was satisfying. Whis, however, remained the calmest. He knew this was just the appetizer. The real shock would come when Gran stepped onto the stage.
Just then, Cus's smile faded as she noticed the intensity below. Beerus looked ready to deliver a final, fatal blow to Quitela.
"Father," Cus said, turning to the Grand Minister. "I think it's time to stop them. They've moved past 'testing' and into 'killing.'"
