Having a nice bath was supposed to guarantee a nice rest for Audrey, but opposite was the case. She felt restless thinking of what could be happening to make the fortress less lively.
And more importantly, what could Damien be doing that he hadn't bothered resting at all.
It wasn't as if their journey to the fortress had been an easy one.
She tossed and turned on her bed. She bounced on the bed. It wasn't like the soft bed she was used to sleeping back at home. Maybe that was why she she finding it hard to sleep.
She sat up with a groan.
She would check it out and see if there was a bit of fun in the fortress.
As soon as she step outside her room, she was hit by the noises coming from different directions.
With no idea where to go or who to ask, she waited at the door, glancing around.
The women looked tarted and exhausted dragging buckets of water and firewoods. It looked like they would rather be resting than doing something as strenuous as that.
