Alex stirred from the bed, his hand forming a fist as he got ready to cast fire, but as soon as he opened his eyes fully.
He frowned at Mia.
"What war? As the enemy finally succeeded in breaking the wall of the fortress?"
He yawned, glaring at Mia for disrupting his rest. He was finally having a good sleep, after days of lying in the tent and forcing himself to sleep in that carriage.
Mia bowed her head, but beneath she scowled at him.
Then she lifted her head up to force a smile towards him. "I was just coming from a walk around the fortress and everyone was talking about just one person."
Alex dragged himself off the bed, and decided to get dressed. "Who?"
"Your brother."
His hand froze on his button as he lifted his eyes back at Mia. "What about my brother?"
Mia settled herself in the bed, crossing her leg. "Apparently, your brother is some kind of hero here."
