"Commander Gusto, the patrol officers are missing."
Gusto turned to look at the thin soldier standing close to the door. His clothes were muddy and his eyes unfocused as it shifted between the prince and commanders.
"What do you mean by the Patrol officers are missing?"
He swallowed. "The soldiers assigned to patrol the fortress in case of any force entry didn't come back at the assigned time to change their shift."
Before anyone else could say a word, Damien stood up, walking towards the soldier. "Can you take me to where they are supposed to patrol?"
The soldier's gaze moved to Gusto, and he nodded. "Yes, sir."
As the soldier led, Damien and the commanders followed behind him.
His mind wandered through what could have happened to the innocent patrol officers.
Could it be a monster attack?
Or has the enemy finally been able to infiltrate the fortress?
