Chapter 26 - CHAPTER 25: THAT'S TOO EASY

Keveelsky came back from work and checked on his Grandfather first. He then took a shower in the guest room and went to their bedroom. He found Havila reading the book she won from their dance competition. He sat beside her and gave her a peck as she perused and passed the pages quickly. He asked, "Are you sure you are reading or just looking at the pictures?" Havila kissed him back and said, "Looking at the pictures could help you a lot to analyze a murder case."

She gave him a space to sit beside her and pointed at a picture, "For example, look at this case, and tell me what you think." Keveelsky assessed the picture and said, "That's easy, the dude was stabbed and died due to too much blood loss." Havila smiled and half-praised him," You are spot on on the cause of death, but he wasn't stabbed; he did it himself." Keveelsky looked closer and did not see the difference, so he asked, "How can you tell? Havila said, "Look at the blood pattern."

She then took a bottle full of tomato sauce and a nail to demonstrate. She stabbed it from the front and the back at the same spot and explained the pattern, "If he were stabbed, the blood would have spread around him from the front, but looking at the picture, the blood splashed, and he died of excessive blood loss. I bet he did not plan to kill himself, but accidentally stabbed too deeply. I think he was trying to cover up something he did, like 'killing the others', by hurting himself, but fate was not on his side; he miscalculated, severed a main artery, and died of blood loss."

Keveelsky looked at the splashed tomato sauce and compared it to the picture, understanding the logic. He wondered if it was skills taught in school or if his wife was just sharp. He was sharp himself, but he couldn't understand properly. He praised her sincerely, saying, "God did bless me by giving me a beautiful maiden as a wife." Havila felt appreciated and joked, "Thanks to my family's betrayal, for they gave me the chance to meet you. Right now, I would still be staying with snakes without knowing."

She closed her book as she already understood today's case. He watched as Keveelsky's eyes followed the book until she kept it in the bedside drawer. She warned him, "You are not allowed to take it outside this house. This is a treasure left for me by my mentor." He teased, "Are you sure he left it for you, though? You scammed it from his granddaughter's hands." Havila defended herself, "That was the plan all along. He said if his granddaughter did not become a psychologist, I should take the book and, in return, protect her."

Keveelsky thought about their previous battle and was worried for her. He said, "But she is in cahoots with your cousin." Havila already knew of his worries and reassured him, "She is an intelligent lady. She will distance herself from them after knowing everything, as she is a genuine person. Even Keveelsky knew of the lady's character, but he was only concerned for her. He then said, "Some of my friends are back from abroad, let's go out together and meet them tomorrow."Havila agreed quickly, as most of her time was free. After some time, they drifted to lalaland, cuddling each other.

The following day, being a weekend, Havila called her friends over to help her do a thorough cleaning of the mansion. She woke up early that morning to prepare breakfast first, but was stunned when she saw them already waiting for her in the dining room. She went and hugged them, then enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast, as all the ladies were her disciples; they were skilled cooks. They got to business after breakfast and started cleaning the living room, kitchen, guest rooms, and lastly the pantry.

After assessing their work, Georgina asked jokingly, " What about your bedroom?" Havila waved her hands and said, "It's clean. I do the cleaning daily to maintain my good hygiene. Don't tell me you want to help me clean the bedroom, thanks, but no can do." Lency laughed hard and said, "When did you become so possessive?" Havila thought about her behavior and answered, "After getting married to this treasure, the possessive instincts follow naturally; I can't help it. I'm even starting to think that he is my handsome stranger."

Georgina nodded her head and said, "That would be a beautiful coincidence for you." They again had their shower after two hours of cleaning and prepared a whole lot of food, and set the table. This is the scene Keveelsky and his grandpa saw when they descended the stairs. The whole house was unusually sparkly clean and neatly rearranged. Even some souvenirs that were never there were added for the taste.

Havila was also a designer, and her two friends were her business partners. Their company has over forty staff, so normally, they didn't have to work themselves apart from working in their own homes. They delegate duties when they receive orders from customers, so Havila had planned this a long time ago. The original taste was okay, but it lacked the taste of a woman.

Grandpa Delus recovered from his shock and asked Havila, "When did you invite over designers? I basically heard no noises until now; if I didn't see it with my own eyes, I wouldn't believe it. When did you even wake up? Don't tell me all these were done overnight, or I will break this brat's limbs immediately." He swayed his walking stick at Keveelsky as he talked. He did not dodge the attack but defended himself, saying, "We slept earlier last night, so she woke up early."

"That's still very early for a lady. Change that before you receive my bats. Grandpa Delus said and asked, "Where are the designers? I have to hire them; my home needs refurbishing." Havila pointed at the three of them and said, " These three beautiful babes did it. We don't charge much, though. When do you want it done? I'll give you a fifty percent discount."

Both Georgina's and Lency's jaws dropped. What the fuck? How could she charge her own family, the closest at that? Lency then bowed to show her respect and said, "No, no, Grandpa nameless, we will do it for free." Georgina also stood up and said yes. Havila looked at her two idiotic friends and said, "He's loaded, of course, we have to leech off him. Anyway, he is an honest man and won't accept free services. I bet he might pay us too much, that's why I provided a fifty percent discount."

Grandpa Delus, on hearing that, was very happy as he knew Havila understood him the most, maybe it was because she was a psychologist, but he had to say that his mood improved in the morning after a night of gloom. He said " deal" and asked Lency, "How is Mr Neil doing?" The three girls looked at him in shock, and Lency asked, "You know my grandpa?" He answered, "Yes, we served and retired together."

He then turned to Georgina and said, "And this is the granddaughter of Mr Georgia the first, whose grandson broke my granddaughter's heart."
