After some time, he was able to calm down.
As she lay on the bed, Remond, with a soft voice, said, "Now I will take care of you; you don't have to worry about anything. Your brother is here. I will take care of you."
As Sofie was weak and was only subconscious, she didn't see the blood-soaked clothes of her brother and only nodded to him.
Remond looked at the blood around him and his clothes and saw his blood-soaked body. He quickly wiped his face and hands and looked around for a pair of clothes. He found a pair of pants but couldn't seem to find anything to wear from the waist up that wasn't soaked in blood or was not torn.
Then, he saw the red suit of the man in the suit, which blended with the blood, so he took the suit.
His sister Sofie was suffering from muscle weakness from prolonged inactivity and was unable to walk, so Remond carried her on his back and took her out of the building and took her to the train station.
He took her to 2 towns over to a near-isolated place to a safe place.
.....
Two days later, A man named Seth, in a red suit with the two horns drawn in the back, came to the building looking for the man in a suit.
Inside, he found the corpses of the gang members inside the building as if they were killed in a single strike. That didn't even matter to him, as the members were a bunch of misfits who were assigned to an unimportant place.
Seth, who was the overseer to the region, had been assigned to bring Remond's sister to him for some mysterious reasons. The suit he had sent was an inexperienced man, so he was worried that he couldn't complete the job he was assigned. Seth came looking for the suit, as it had been 2 days since he had last heard from the suit.
When he moved up the building, more and more corpses were piled on the floor.
As he reached the last floor, he saw the suit's lifeless body. He had his suit taken and his body had started to rot, which filled the room with a foul stench. Seth covered his mouth and nose as he scanned for any other clue, and that is when he found a bloodied pant which was so soaked in blood that it began to wither with the blood.
Seth knew that it was not one of his subordinates; he was then puzzled by the thought that it might have been a single person who did this.
Seth immediately contacted the HQ to warn them and asked to speak with the Boss.
A lackey brought the phone to a man in a tailor-made, high-quality business suit.
"Boss, I think we found another metahuman," Seth calmly told the boss.
"Is that so? Bring them to me." After giving the order, the Boss hung up the phone.
Seth called all his subordinates and then ordered them to question people around the building.
....
Remond was worrying that the gang would not leave them alone, so he was planning to go abroad with his sister, but with no money, that was not possible. So, he plundered around for anything he could to collect funds.
But that was not enough at all, as he was also renting a room for his sister, who was recovering and required immense care. So, his only option was to steal something of more value.
That is when he saw a wealthy man in the town flaunting his wealth as if he had infinite money, which angered Remond, so he decided to steal from that rich man.
That evening, he followed that man to his mansion, which was coated with white marble, and the garden was twice as big as the mansion itself. Remond then discovered that the man had a wife and a daughter.
Remond waited for the night to fall, then sneaked inside the house without any guards noticing. He snuck around and found himself in the rich man's bedroom. He was about to leave when the little girl saw him and screamed.
The scream woke both the man and his wife; the guards patrolling the mansion were also rushing toward the room.
With no place to run, Remond grabbed the little girl and pointed a knife at the girl's neck, threatening everyone that he would kill her if anyone dared to approach him.
"Get me all the money in the house, or the girl dies," Remond threatened the family in a stern tone.
The man quickly grabbed his watch from the desk and gave it to Remond.
"Give me money, not this," Remond said, throwing the watch. He knew if he sold such an expensive watch, he would get caught in no time.
"Go get the money from the safe," the man told his wife.
The wife, scared for her daughter's life, did what she was told, got the stacks of bills from the safe, and gave them to Remond.
Just as Remond was going to run away, taking the little girl as a hostage, the rich man signaled to his guards. The guards jumped to save the girl, and Remond was caught off guard and let go of the girl.
Remond quickly slashed a guard in half as he was running and was able to run away from the mansion unharmed.
He rushed to his sister to the room he was staying, and saw that his sister was still up.
He covered the knife with his jacket and spoke to her.
"You should sleep, it's late."
Sofie, seeing Remond hide something, asked, "Where were you this late?"
"Just running some errands. We are leaving tomorrow, so sleep quickly." Remond couldn't meet his eyes with his sister with the guilt of even stealing now.
"Come on, you don't tell me anything anymore," Sofie said with a saddened face.
Remond didn't reply and lay on the floor to sleep.
