"I could agree, and then Homelander would come for your souls later, but it'll be much more interesting to deal with it here myself. I'm the fastest man in the world, and you bitches won't even realize what's happening before you're broken pieces of meat. But you regenerate, right?" the supe asked a rhetorical question, turning his gaze to the Japanese woman, and then continued his threats.

"I remember the pain when you broke my leg. We'll have a lot of fun together. Have you ever been dragged on a chain behind a car going full speed? No? Well, that's okay, because it wouldn't have helped anyway, since I'm much faster than a car."

"Your skin and flesh will be torn from your body every second, and your bones will be ground to dust. Then I'll give you time to recover and do it again and again. Until we've run all over America together. Tempting, isn't it?" the speedster asked with a crazy smile, his heartbeat beginning to drown out all other sounds for him.

"Attack!" Annie said, disgusted by A-Train's plans and deciding to start the clearly inevitable confrontation herself.

After her shout, Starlight fired a series of light flashes at the speedster, and Kimiko rushed towards his body, wanting to tear the enemy to pieces.

A-Train easily dodged all of the girl's attacks, then got in close and delivered a powerful blow to her face, which sent her flying and dislocated her jaw.

As Starlight, Annie had already forgotten the last time she had felt pain.

So, just like Butcher's shot from an armor-piercing sniper rifle almost point-blank, which had knocked the wind out of her, this attack took Annie out of the fight for a few seconds.

For a speedster, a few seconds was a huge amount of time, enough to carry out any plan.

Due to the small space of the room, A-Train couldn't get up to full speed and repeat the unfortunate accident with Hughie's girlfriend, in a more deliberate version, against Kimiko.

So, having taken out the most dangerous combat unit, in his opinion, for a time, he rushed to the Japanese woman and shattered her knees with two kicks.

When Annie finally came to her senses, the area was filled with the muffled scream of Kimiko, who was feeling the pain from her lower limbs.

A second later, another sound was added to this one: a sickening crunch from her instantly dislocated arms, which had also been caught under the speedster's feet.

"And now, go to sleep, bitch, while I deal with the traitor," A-Train said, disappearing from his spot, only to reappear a second later over Kimiko and twist her head one hundred and eighty degrees.

Enraged by what she saw, Annie gathered all the electricity she could feel from the building and then unleashed a massive charge of light at the speedster. It spread across the entire room, leaving him no chance to dodge.

A second later, A-Train's body slammed into the wall opposite the girl, and a light wall appeared in the other corner, behind which The Deep was hiding.

"Shit," Kevin said quietly, not expecting such an attack from the girl.

"And who are y..." the supe was about to ask as he got to his feet, when his body suddenly lost all strength. He fell back to the ground with a scream, clutching his chest, which felt like it was about to explode.

"Well, he's having a heart attack, so I guess the fight's over and I should probably go..." Kevin said nervously, his voice partially altered by the acoustics and the mask. Then, before the stunned girl's eyes, he dissolved into space, just like Translucent.

"Wait!" Annie cried out as she came to, but no one answered her. The only sounds in the room were the fading breath of A-Train and the cracking of Kimiko's bones setting back into place.

Once she had recovered, the girl immediately jumped up and, cautiously scanning the battlefield, found the speedster's body.

Approaching A-Train, she witnessed his last breath.

Then, with satisfaction, she stepped on each of his legs in turn, pressing down with relish until she heard a crunch.

Then she kicked the corpse of one of America's sweethearts into the concrete wall. Exhaling with satisfaction, the girl turned to Annie, walked past the frozen superhero, bent the metal sheets back again, and left the base.

"Fuck," Starlight said, succinctly describing the situation as she watched what had happened.

After hesitating for a moment, she rushed to her colleague and began to call for help.

After being discovered, Kevin pretended to hastily leave the battle scene, but in reality, he moved towards the gate.

Waiting for Kimiko to recover, he followed the Japanese woman through the newly opened hole and soon saw the rest of The Boys' team hiding nearby, clearly waiting for the outcome of the battle.

In principle, Kevin found their tactics quite logical. If A-Train had won, he wouldn't have bothered to thoroughly search the area around the base, assuming they would try to get as far away from the fight and the extremely dangerous supe as possible.

Reuniting with the guys, Kimiko became less wary, and the whole group headed towards the southern districts of the city, where you rarely saw cops, and the abundance of surveillance cameras was not even worth mentioning.

It was a great place to get away and get lost among the crowds of pushers, gangs, and a bunch of illegal businesses.

In these districts, neither superheroes nor the police were ever welcome, and they, in turn, were not eager to go and clean up the not-so-prosperous streets of the city.

The police were afraid of retaliation from the mafia, which usually came through their relatives, while the supes for the most part avoided these areas because of the "unfavorable probabilities of event development" stipulated in their contract with Vought.

Or, to put it in human terms, the inexperience and unprofessionalism of superheroes in these areas in 70% of cases led to civilian deaths or bloodbaths.

The local contingent was extremely aggressive and in most cases went into conflict even against "heroes." And the superheroes themselves were not ready to face the truly dark side of society.
