Well, this became a little interesting.

*Mk, Miwa and Wukong are fighting in the Monkey King's training grounds.*
"You call this a training session? I've barely broken a sweat." said Mk with a confident smile.
"You say that now, but just wait. You're gonna eat those words." said Miwa, holding her somewhat stable spear.
"A battle's no place to be arrogant, you gotta stay humble. Like Sunny, here." said Wukong, dodging a swing from Miwa's spear.
"Says you?" Mk fights and puts Wukong near the edge. "Hah, who's gotta be humble now?"
"Hmm. Still, you." said Wukong and Miwa in unison.
Wukong kicks the staff off of Mk. The Golden Staff launches to the mountain, forming rocks.
Miwa took this chance to have her spear turn into its whip form and swung it at Wukong's feet, hoping to trip him over. But he had already seen it coming and quickly caught the whip with one hand.
"Oh boy." The rocks fall on Mk.
"Oh no." The whip got pulled and Miwa got dragged with it, as she got thrown into the rocks that had fallen on Mk.
"Ok, class commencing, how'd I win?" asked Wukong with a confident smile.
"Uh, you buried me under a rock slide?" Mk answered, a bit unsure.
"By using my weapon against me?" Miwa questioned, rubbing her head since she had hit head first into those rocks.
"Yes, but why were you standing in the way of a rock slide?" Wukong asked, giving Miwa a light pat on the shoulder. "That's right, by having it be a whip. I was able to use it when I caught it."
Mk took a moment to think it over. "'Cause you put me there!"
"No, no, no, no, no, no. I got you where I wanted you by putting myself where you wanted me, it's called misdirection." Wukong told him, shaking his head.
"Seems like a shady lesson." said Mk raising an eyebrow.
"Too soon, buddy." said Wukong crossing his arms.
"Eh, for him, maybe. But not for me." said Miwa with a smug grin.
"No, too soon for you too, Freckles." said Wukong with a light glare.
Nova rolled her eyes with a huff. "Well, you're no fun."
"Ugh, I'm never gonna be as good as you." Mk exclaimed with a sad look.
"Not with that attitude. Class dismissed!" said Wukong, ruffling Nova's hair, to which she batted her hands at him in annoyance.
"Yes! I better hit it, Lulu, and I was supposed to meet Mei and the others for the fes—" Wukong throws a pillow at Mk and Miwa while he sets up for the New Year's. "Hey! Whoa. How long have you been preparing this?"
"By the looks of it, for a while." said Miwa holding her pillow and looking over at Wukong.
"Come on, it's New Year's, bud, Miwa. Let's watch the fireworks." said Wukong, sitting down on his pillow.
"Oh, love to, but I really should get back to my... friends." Wukong looks back towards the sky. Mk sighs and then sits down with him. "Sure."
Miwa still felt a little unsure about it, looking at her pillow and then back at those two. "I hate fireworks, they are so god-damn loud. But....it would be the first time watching it with dad." She sighs and decided to join them, taking a seat on the other side of Wukong.
"Fine, but the moment it gets too loud, I'm leaving." Miwa crossed her arms with a huff.
Wukong let out a chuckle, a smile growing on his face. "I guess that's fair. But having you here is just as good."
Miwa gave a small smile, unable to hide how happy she really was, as both of her tails were wagging in joy.
Looking up at the sky, Miwa let out a sigh, looking at the Wishing Stars. Listening to their voices and what they were saying.
"Danger.~"
"Return.~"
"Leave.~"
"Home.~"
Miwa narrowed her eyes at them, feeling a growing anger inside her. But didn't know why.
"What's you thinking about?" Wukong had taken notice of the change of expression on her face. "Something upset you?"
Miwa snapped out of it and turned her attention to Wukong. "It's nothing, just lost in thoughts, dad."
Wukong raised an eyebrow at her. "Sunshine, I know we've had our ups and downs. But you can tell me if something is wrong."
Miwa looked up at the sky, and then towards the city. "Just wondering what will happen in the years to come, after this."
Wukong wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close. "Well, whatever it is. You can be sure I'll be there for you, I'm not leaving you out of my sight. We still have a lot of time to catch up on."
Miwa couldn't help but let out a soft giggle. "Sure, but this time I'll be the one visiting you. I'm getting pretty tired of you sneaking into my apartment."
"Hey! I wasn't sneaking in, you just keep your windows hardly closed. And you already snuck into my home, a week ago." Wukong began giving her a noogie.
Miwa pulled away with a laugh, while giving him a light punch to the shoulder.
"Hey look! The first firework!" Mk quickly pointed out when he saw the light.
"Happy New Year! Fireworks!" Mk and Wukong cheered out loud, while Miwa had to cover her ears.
"I regret staying here." Miwa mumbled to herself in annoyance.
"Over a millennia and fireworks are still the best thing humans have invented!" Wukong pulls out a piece of fur and makes an illusionary box of treats out of it.
"Uh. Am I eating hair right now?" Mk questioned, a little confused.
"It's better not to think about it." said Wukong and Miwa in unison.
Miwa found herself a mango, taking a bite of it. Ignoring the strange taste.
Mk immediately spits out all the hair, while the fireworks have gone out. "What happened to the fireworks?" He and Wukong use their Gold Vision and see the Spider Queen destroying the city. "The city!"
"Well, that doesn't sound good." said Miwa, though she didn't have Gold Vision, she could at least catch on to the panic in Mk's voice.
"The fireworks!" Mk and Miwa gives him an unamused look. "Oh, uh, also people getting hurt. I guess."
Mk whips out his staff. "Alright, I'll go take care of business." He leaps off but Wukong grabs him and tosses him and Miwa on to his back. "Whoa! What?"
"Dad, what are you doing?" Miwa questioned, already getting a bad feeling.
"Nobody messes with my New Year's. Let's go!" They fly off and arrive at the city. "Huh. Guess Spider Queen finally crawled out of her cesspit."
"I could have just used a portal to get here, saves me from crossing the water." Miwa mumbled, clinging to Wukong like a frighten monkey by how puffy her tails were at the moment.
"Huh?" Mk suddenly notices the spider-bots and freaks out, crawling all over Wukong and Miwa. "Spider! No, get them away from me! Get them away!"
"Mk, watch it! Would you stop crawling!" Miwa shouted in annoyance.
"Get off, MK!" Wukong puts him down on a roof.
Miwa let out a heavy sigh, finally getting off Wukong. Not clinging to him anymore.
"Wait! What are you—" Mk started questioning, confused.
Wukong sighs, looking at him. "If you can't handle a little spider, how are you meant to help me with that? Freckles and I'll handle this one, bud. You're staying tight."
"I understand your fear of spiders, Mk, it's like me with water. But I have to agree with dad." Miwa let out a small sigh, using her shapeshifting powers to look more human. "I'm sure you'll figure something out, I believe in you."
"Wait! I-I can still—" Wukong and Miwa blasts off. "help..." Mk watched them fly away, leaving him on the roof.
Miwa sighs and puts her focus into summoning her spear. "I hope you have a plan, dad, besides bursting right in."
"You're spending too much time with Macaque." Wukong rolled his eyes as they were getting close. "But I have a plan, so don't worry."
"Papa hasn't been around for weeks, but I guess that doesn't matter if dad, thinks I'm spending too much time with him." Miwa rolled her eyes, holding her spear ready.
*Wukong and Miwa lands down where Spider Queen is waiting for them.*
"Oh, Monkey King! Well, isn't this a nice surprise? Finally come out of hiding just to see me? And I see you brought the little pest too, Luna Kid." said Spider Queen sarcastically.
"I guess the Princess, was craving attention." Miwa teased, leaning slightly with her spear.
"Didn't know you were so desperate for attention, Spider Princess." Wukong chuckled, giving Miwa a fist bump.
"It's Spider Queen, subhumans." said Spider Queen offended.
"Whatever." said Wukong not impressed, rolling his eyes.
"Sounds like you might have an inferiority complex." said Miwa, letting out a yawn.
"Thought I'd have to deal with both kids before I got to you, but since you're here along with one of the kids, I can destroy you both first!" Spider Queen attacks. Meanwhile, Mk has used his staff and lands clumsily on the mech. He uses his Gold Vision to see what's happening.
Miwa had her spear turn into its whip form, having it wrap around one of the Spider Queen's legs. She pulled on the whip, causing the Spider Queen to lose balance and fall over.
"You, annoying little pest!" Spider Queen shouted in annoyance and started charging at Miwa.
"Ah!" Miwa quickly went into the shadows, and appeared next to Wukong. With her weapon already losing its shape again. "Fuck."
"Language, Freckles." Wukong warned while keeping his focus on the Spider Queen.
Miwa rolled her eyes but also kept her focus on the Spider Queen, who was charging at them.
"Give it up, Princess. You're too easy to read." Wukong hears whispers in the opposite direction and charges toward the sound. He throws a punch but is stopped midair by some mysterious child, who dodges his fist.
"Where did she come from?" Miwa grew slightly nervous, taking a step back. But she began getting a serious headache, causing her to grab a hold of her head.
"Monkey King!" Mk shouted, just as the mysterious child releases him, throwing him off balance.
"As easy as a fly." Spider Queen uses her webs to capture Wukong and Miwa from behind.
Wukong rolled his eyes and started mockingly speak. ""Oh no! A web" You seriously think this can keep me—" He yells as his and Miwa's powers are sucked out from them. "What is this?!"
"What did you do?!" Miwa shouted, unable to keep her form anymore, and changed back to normal.
"Finally. After all these years, you're mine." Spider Queen laughs and powers up the base, tossing Mk off. "And what a surprise to see, the little pest also being a monkey."
"Congratulations on your victory, my Queen." said the mysterious child, while giving a side glance at Miwa.
"My special webs will continue to steal Monkey King's power until he's nothing more than a dried up husk. Nothing and no one will be able to stop me." said Spider Queen as she let out a laugh.
"Oh, no." Mk whispered, from where he was watching.
"Was this what you mean with not leaving my side? Because I'm regretting it so much now." Miwa growled as she felt her powers getting sucked, it didn't help that her headache was getting worse.
Wukong let out a nervous chuckle. "Wasn't planning it like this."
Miwa growled in pain, turning her attention to the mysterious child, her eyes starting to change to red.
"I see that you remember me, that is a delight." said the mysterious child, giving a calm smile.
"What? Miwa what does she mean?" Wukong started asking, not sure what was going on.
Miwa started getting surrounded by a red cosmic aura, which only helped fuel Spider Queen's machine.
"What raw powers! I see what you mean, with her being more powerful than she seems." said Spider Queen excited, a big grin on her face.
"I should have erased your memories when I had the chance." Miwa growled, and with a strong force. Pulled herself free of the webs, with her cosmic aura getting out of control.
"What's going on?! You didn't tell me she would be this powerful!" Spider Queen yelled in a panic.
"Miwa what's going on with you! This isn't like you at all!" shouted Wukong, the last time he had ever seen her going out of control, was when she created that huge cosmic monster form when just a baby.
Miwa took a glance over at Wukong, eyes all red, but the look in her eyes softened a little. ".... Hang tight, dad, I'll find Mk and help save everyone. You too."
Miwa's eyes slowly turned back to normal as she used the shadows to get out of the machine, and began searching for Mk and the others.
