Amir pulled his thoughts back and gradually spotted Obi-Wan's hut in the distance.
As he climbed up to the high ground, he looked at the house before him. Rather than being buried underground, it was perched atop a pile of rocks — a dwelling constructed from stones.
Though it would be hot inside, the hut had windows to let in light and offered an open view of the surroundings.
"Is anyone there?"
There was no response, so he called out twice more before sitting down at the door.
He couldn't help but marvel at how harsh the environment was. All the species that lived here were survivors forged by nature.
No one would willingly choose to live in such a place.
If he were to settle down, Coruscant would be the most convenient place. He could find a quiet neighborhood, buy an apartment, and have access to all the amenities he needed; however, Coruscant was surrounded by tall buildings and lacked contact with nature.
Amir's favorite place was Alderaan. Ever since he visited with Sain, he had wanted to live there.
This pristine planet had not undergone much human modification, and there was a delicate balance between city and wilderness.
As far as the eye could see were lush green mountains, crystal-clear streams, freely growing trees, and thriving life. The air was filled with the scent of plants.
However, this does not mean it is backward. On the contrary, Alderaan is one of the most influential planets in the Core Worlds. For centuries, it has been a hub for politics, culture, and exploration in the galaxy.
Politically, Alderaan holds significant influence in the Galactic Senate. The current senator, Bail Organa, is also the planet's governor and First Chairman. He is deeply respected by the people of the galaxy.
After severe destruction during the Clone Wars, Organa declared all weapons illegal on Alderaan and issued a peace declaration.
This event inspired the phrase "The Birth of the Cosmic Shining Center."
Culturally, Alderaan University's elegant white buildings have long been a dream destination for scholars, offering an atmosphere of academic rigor and freedom that has never faded.
The people of Alderaan also assisted in the exploration and development of numerous planets, providing the galaxy with a wealth of resources.
However, Amir knew that the Empire's Death Star would destroy this beautiful planet in ten years and obliterate over two billion lives seeking peace.
Amir wanted to prevent this from happening.
Initially, when he began to regain his memories, he planned to take things as they came, open a shop on Coruscant, and allow events to unfold as they were meant to, with the Empire eventually being overthrown and order being restored to the galaxy.
There was nothing to regret.
But after Sain took him to Alderaan, he began to waver.
After joining the Imperial Academy, he learned more about the Empire's atrocities across the galaxy. He witnessed how the Empire brainwashed civilians and covered up its crimes. This only strengthened his desire to resist.
However, he knew he wasn't strong enough. What use could an ordinary person be in a war?
He could easily be killed by a grenade.
So he constantly sought ways to become stronger. During his two years in the Empire, he studied mechanics and practiced flying spaceships.
To his delight, he felt the presence of the Force during meditation during one of his self-experiments, and controlling the Force became part of his daily training.
He practiced everything from manipulating objects to sensing his surroundings. However, such blind training failed to produce the desired results.
Additionally, frequent recent battles revealed that he couldn't defeat even an Imperial Inquisitor.
He decided to act on an idea he had always had: to find a teacher.
However, finding a teacher skilled in the use of the Force was extremely difficult because there were only a handful of Jedi left in the entire galaxy.
Master Yoda was undoubtedly the best choice, but he was hiding on a swamp planet, searching for Qui-Gon Jinn.
Amir had no idea what the planet was called. He found a few potential matches based on its characteristics, but they were just planets.
There were no clues to help him find a green-skinned creature on such a vast planet.
He wasn't Luke, who had Master Yoda's guidance through the Force.
Next is Obi-Wan Kenobi, whom Amir most wants to meet.
Obi-Wan is powerful. He served as a Jedi General during the Clone Wars, fighting alongside Anakin Skywalker to eliminate the Separatist forces. Obi-Wan used his powerful Force and lightsaber skills to kill General Grievous.
Moreover, he remained loyal to the Jedi Council and dedicated to the light side of the Force.
After the war, Obi-Wan defeated Anakin Skywalker, who had fallen to the dark side. Obi-Wan then brought Anakin and Padmé's son, Luke Skywalker, to Tatooine, Anakin's homeworld. Obi-Wan entrusted Luke to his uncle for raising and took the name Ben Kenobi to protect Luke.
This made Obi-Wan the easiest Jedi for Amir to find.
Ahsoka was also an option, but Amir preferred Obi-Wan, whom he admired.
After obtaining the Kyber crystal from Gulina, Amir's dreams continued to guide him toward Tatooine.
So he set off.
The wait was long, so Amir began meditating to familiarize himself with his surroundings and the objects around him.
Finally, after some time, a figure rode up on Eopie and approached the house.
Amir stood up.
"Who's there?" The man wore a light brown linen robe and had orange-yellow hair that was beginning to gray. His disheveled beard gave him a weary appearance.
"Young man, what brings you here?" He climbed down from Eopie's back, walked to the door of the small house, and opened it. "There is only one room here, and an old man waiting to grow old."
"I've come to find you."
Amir turned to face him and took out the lightsaber he had hidden inside his clothes—the one he had found on the Jedi fighter.
"Oh, a lightsaber. That brings back some distant memories." Obi-Wan opened the door. "Come in."
Amir followed him inside.
The hut was sparsely furnished with only the most basic necessities.
"So, what brought you here?" He sat down in a chair.
"I had a dream. I saw this place in my dream, and a force guided me here," Amir replied. Although he had already planned to come, he had recently been guided by his dreams.
"In the past, whenever I meditated, I could feel the Force in every corner of the galaxy. Now, I can hardly feel it at all." Obi-Wan seemed lost in thought.
"But a few days ago, I sensed your Force. Forgive my curiosity, but it created a connection between us."
"I came here to ask you to train me," Amir explained.
"Training like a Jedi apprentice?" Obi-Wan paused before asking, "So, what do you plan to use this training for?"
