The doors closed from, signifying the exit of Lucas and Lyla.
Silence.
Heavy and welcomed-thick enough to be cut with a knife-it settled in the now stufffy study. It was almost too hard for Kyle to breath in the air.
He could feel something in the air trying to get to him as soon as the door closed. He could feel something caressing, tugging and sometimes pulling at him. It was making him feel uncomfortable but at the same time there was a tingling sensation that made him feel comfortable and safe. It was a strange feeling. A feeling he wanted to explore because in his previous life he had never felt safety or security. Even from his so called parents.
He gave into the strange thing that felt like the aura of something. Though he didn't know magic, he knew presence, because he once had that.
The aura had been floating around him like it was searching him-Kyle reach out mentally and let it reach the deep parts of his soul. He let it pull at him. It was like a caress on his mind. Soft and gentle.
He wondered if this was the prince's magic. Even if it was his magic, was the prince trying to torture him now? What would be the use of that?
As Kyle's thoughts spun Alex watched his expression closely. He didn't believe Kyle was dumb. Insensitive, yes but not dumb to the things around him. He probably did that to the duke on purpose for a reason. And that's the reason he told to Kyle to stay behind. To talk or force out something from him.
Kyle's face was red. Alex thought he was probably flustered that he would see through him under his stare… until he felt something from his own magical core.
Alex paused. He hadn't realized he was releasing his aura towards Kyle. He usually had control over it even when his emotions were in disarray sometimes.
But right now it felt like something was pulling his aura out. It was a warm feeling. The last time he felt a feeling like this was when his mother hugged him before her death. It felt so surreal.
Alex stood up slowly and walked towards Kyle like he was in a trance. He wanted to see if this was real- to feel it. Maybe it wasn't him but his body reacting to the memory of his mother.
He could feel his own magic pulling him close like a child drawn to an amusement park-the same excitement and anticipation. He walked round the table, his pulse already passed normal and he had the strong urge to embrace the source of this feeling, and it was getting stronger with every step he took towards Kyle.
He should stay away. He knew he should but..
Kyle was still lost in bliss from the feeling that came from this strange aura. Though he didn't have any magical experience, he could tell that this was some kind of magic. One that felt both strange and safe at the same time. Then before he could process the action fully, his hands wrapped themselves around what felt like the source of this new found feeling.
Alex went still. He stared down at Kyle. The boy still had his arms wrapped around him oblivious to what he was doing. It turns the boy was having same feeling as him. He wanted to get to the bottom of it but… Kyle's hands moved upward, wrapping more tightly.
Kyle had never felt the safe and warmth before. He felt like he could jump from the tallest building without a care in the world, knowing he wouldn't get a scratch. The faint smell of roses and lilies filled his nostrils. He wanted to be closer. He could tell the feeling was getting stronger, he had completely forgotten his surroundings but he could tell something was close. So Kyle reached out and his arms wrapped around something warm and firm. It was ecstatic, he wanted more… that was all he could think off. He held on more tightly wanting to feel what he had always longed for.
Tears filled his eyes as he clung more tightly.
Alex let himself be swallowed with mixed feelings. He buried his head on the crook of Kyle's neck. His neck was soft and supple and smelled of jasmine and cherry, a scent that made him want to taste.
He flicked his tongue out unable to control himself.
Once.
Twice.
Then he put his lips and sucked.
Kyle moaned. Loud.
His hands, which had come the prince's arms at some point, now clung to it as he shifted his head back to get more. He tilted his head sideways just to see the prince's face.
They both stilled in shock.
A deafening silence followed. Worse than the one from before.
Kyle blinked, Alex stared.
