"You see… this is the reason why I don't want to stay in this world," Orion finally voiced out after what felt like forever, his face pale like that of a ghost who had drowned in still water. His trembling hands rested protectively on his swollen belly as his voice cracked with despair. "Isn't it better to just die? To pick a death of one's own choosing rather than be eaten alive by monsters?"
"There's one way to stop the monsters," Louise said at last, his tone grave and deliberate, his gaze fixed on Orion with an intensity that made the latter's eyes widen in curiosity. "One way to keep them from targeting you."
