He felt like he recognised her.
Rin took out some meat from her seals and showed him.

He bent down, and Rin threw the meat into his mouth.
"Did you like it? Want more?"
He nodded.
She took out some more and threw it into his mouth.
He fully laid down on the ground, and Rin started petting him.
"Who is a good boi? Ale le le le..."

Gyarados now fully calmed down.
Well, because Minato was smart enough to keep himself, Kakashi and Obito out of sight, and putting his hand on Obito's mouth to keep the idiot from attracting attention.
He also signaled the ANBU to stand down.

Well, guess he will teach her how to name pets. If it were him, he would have named the dragon 'Fish Transforming Aqua Blaster: King of Seas: Gyarados' instead of just Gyarados.

And maybe after transforming from fish to dragon, it will evolve into something else?
Minato whispered, "Obito, go home for today."
"But why not Kakashi—"

And Gyarados looked at the noise.

Minato has teleported away with Kakashi and Obito.
Rin was annoyed by that idiot.

Well, her Gyarados is still young. With some time and training, he should be able to atleast defeat Shukaku to be called one-tailed beast.

Rin can't exactly tell what Minato-sensei is suspicious of, well, aside from a mysterious egg breaking into his house and him not being able to react to it, which is very uncharacteristic for him, but it doesn't seem bad enough to put her in T&I.
The fanfics overplay the setting.

And since people of Ninja World don't follow logic of Pokemon, they weren't blasted off.
Instead, they dodged and attacked with Kunais and Shuriken.
Minato swiftly teleported them away, irritated by such lack of caution. He didn't expect this from ANBU.
Afterall, they are in unknown waters, they should act cautiously!
Rin managed to parry some kunais and Shurikens, but her Shurikenjutsu skills are nothing in front of ANBU.
Some hit Gyarados.
But they just bounced off, only giving Gyarados some marks. Not cut marks. But as if he was beaten up in a children's anime.
Pokemon logic works on Gyarados.
But that was enough to enrage Gyarados.
