Chapter 29 - The gain

The three boys stood still. Kael's status window read: "You have advanced in your class by 25%, your qualities improve to get closer to the goal." Then the window disappeared to describe his new ability. "All for the team, Type: Passive. This ability gives you impressive pain resistance and a considerably higher regeneration level than a normal human."

Kael's mouth hung open as he carefully read the text. It was quite an achievement for him!

On the other hand, Selena read her new class with excitement and anticipation. "Assassin: Your stealth will become more lethal than that of any other entity. Potential: Mythical. Capable of obtaining 6 passive and active skills." The girl was about to hit yes the moment she saw the screen, but she felt something stop her. But this was only for a few seconds; after all, they needed another person with lethal abilities.

When she hit yes, the notifications began to appear: "Congratulations, you have obtained a class. Your strength and endurance have improved to a human limit, your intelligence and senses have improved to a level slightly below the human limit, and your agility and dexterity have reached a superhuman level. Weakness: you begin to disappear from others." Selene was stunned. The weakness was strange: 'What do you mean, I disappear from others?'

Liora had the status window in front of her. "Telepath: You will be able to read minds and learn the darkest secrets of others. Potential: Divine. Able to obtain 7 passive and active skills."

Liora felt really excited. Unlike many other options and classes, being a telepath and being able to read minds had few disadvantages, so she accepted without hesitation.

"Congratulations, you have obtained a class. Your intelligence and senses increase to a superhuman level, your agility increases to a slightly superhuman level, and your endurance, dexterity, and strength have improved slightly below the human limit. You have obtained a small resonance with the magic of this world."

Upon reading the word "Magic," Liora felt a slight burst of strong emotions. Although she was not a geek like Adriel, she knew that magic was the most important thing in a new world.

Another window appeared in front of Liora. "You have obtained the passive skill 'I Know.' You will be able to read the conscious thoughts of others. Weakness: All mind-reading abilities will be passive, so you won't be able to stop reading the minds of others."

"Incredible, with this, we won't depend on Adriel, now everything will be better!" Liora heard Selene's thoughts; they were strong and clear, almost as if they were her own, but her voice remained distinct.

'With this new ability, I'll be able to regenerate... Wow, we'll be able to return to battle soon because they're fine. I feel so proud! Liora let her jaw drop as she listened, unintentionally, to her companions' thoughts.

"We have to kill them, these kids could be dangerous to our mission... No, a leader wouldn't say that. I need another way to convince my companions to kill them. Maybe we could ally with them and cause a little 'accident' during a battle against the goblin camp, so they die." The voice the girl heard was completely strange; she didn't recognize it.

The telepath felt a numbing coldness in her back, quickly grabbed the slime's body, and went to her companions. "We have to leave. Staying here with Kael injured could be dangerous."

'Tsk, I don't want to, I need to kill to get a better weapon.' Liora heard Selene's thoughts. "How about we continue tomorrow? Fighting too often could be counterproductive, and we don't want to leave Amara alone with Adriel injured and the crazy succubus by her side."

Selene sighed softly. "Okay." 'I guess she knows what she's talking about.' The assassin felt a little down, but she couldn't deny that her friend was right....

"Get away!" The beautiful and curious Amara was putting her leg in front of Elena, who was trying to see the grimoire next to her.

Elena had a silly smile on her face as she tried to get closer to Amara, who was moving around in the mirror with her, making it impossible for her to stand next to her. "I swear I won't touch you."

"I'm not going to take the word of a woman whose class is 'Sexual Predator'."

"Come on, here!" Elena lunged at Amara, and they both fell to the floor, but when the impact hit the dreamer, Elena felt a strong shock through her body, causing her muscles to tense up and squeeze Amara in a hug.

"Waaaa! Let go of me, you cunning pervert!" Amara put her hands on Elena's head as she pushed her down.

"If you keep pushing me like that, I'm going to lick you!"

"Ahhhhhhhhhh! Get away from me!" Amara kneed Elena in the stomach, causing her to let go and grab her belly in pain.

Little Amara walked over to where Adriel was and began shaking him, but he didn't respond. Then she saw a shadow cover her completely. "You gave yourself away by doing that, little one."

"Waaa!" Amara was grabbed by Elena, who sat down cross-legged to put the little girl between her legs, then placed the grimoire in front of them both.

"See? We're just going to read." Elena was opening the book, then she looked down, noticing that Amara's face had turned into a cute little girl's pout.

Out of nowhere, there was a commotion in the bushes. Both girls turned around to find the other three boys who had gone out for a walk.

"Looks like you two became really good friends. We told you you were a lesbian." Liora saw them and didn't think twice about her words.

"I'm not!" The girl's pout became more noticeable. "She forced me."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say." Kael moved closer to the lake and then dropped the slime's body.

"Obviously, you didn't know, but we always believed in our group of friends that Amara is a lesbian, a very lesbian one." Selene noticed Elena's look of incomprehension, so she gave her the necessary answers.

"Aw, sorry, but I really like to eat... You know, a big, meaty, thick stick, but if you're up for threesomes." A smile and a mocking tone took hold of Elena.

"No. Let me go, you crazy bitch!" Amara began to writhe in Elena's arms, but Elena wouldn't let her go.

'Everyone is turning out just as my dream predicted, but the ability I suspect Liora has could be dangerous.' Liora saw Amara look at her intensely out of the corner of her eye, then she thought again, this time addressing her directly. 'Don't interfere with my plans, bitch. If you're listening to this, you'd better not speak. Leave Elena to me. Just stay out of it and do as I say.'

"Leave me alone." That thought was also spoken by Amara, but Liora noticed that in her mind it was colder and more calculated; it didn't feel like before.

Laughing, Elena was looking through the grimoire until she found a ritual that spanned more than one page, in which she could see the image of a goblin with a new arm made of zero. "I've got it."
