Chapter 28:Bailing Out A Crow
Kraven had been rotting in prison for a while now. He had to live in a dirty room and dirty building with cursed chains on his hands at all times and to top that off all the guards were rough!That includes Chief Lenny.The head of the police force.
So dedicated to his job that he made a whole different prison for the crows to be separated from everyone else.True racism right there.Racist…Lenny. He's mexican and he's racist.Funny.
Anyways Kraven got bored and made a tally of the days he spent in the prison.
In total he had spent only 8 days in the prison which wasn't even that long.But it felt slow and it felt like hell.
The front desk of the prison was in front of the doors you walk through and that area was where Chief Lenny's office was.Red wore a mask at all times so people couldn't recognise that he was the infamous criminal.
He entered the prison silently while Kibo waited outside.There was a LONG LINE of people so he had to wait a while.
Waiting.
Waiting.
Waiting…
"Hello!How can I help you?"Chief Lenny placed down his cup of water.Red placed a heavy bag that was made of fabric and looked old.Chief Lenny looked down and opened the bag. It was full of yen.
"I want to bail out…Kraven Crow."
"He's worth 500 million yen you know."
"I know that!But I got a special type of yen.Count it up."Lenny frowned and dumped the bag onto the counter.
"This will take a while so have a seat."Red smiled under the mask and took a seat.Minutes turned into hours,it felt like the blood moon all over again.Timing.Not…the bloodbath and all the killing.
"Wake up!"Red fell asleep,drooling in the chair.
"Did you finish?"
"Yeah…surprisingly you have enough.Come with me,I'll take you to his cell and you two can chat I guess.."
Lenny walked over to the cell and inserted the key into the hole. It creaked slowly.Kraven turned his head,eyes illuminating…violet.
"You have a visiter Kraven. He wants you to be free."
"What about my guards?"
"They're all free aswell."Chief Lenny went one by one unlocking cells.Crows gathered around Kraven's cell rapidly.They were multiplying one by one.A huge flock,this group wasn't just cursed crows.They were family.Lenny shortly left,looking tired. He shut the door behind him and wasn't seen again.
"So…who are you exactly?"Kraven questioned. He stretched his arms and walked out of his cell.
"Red the bandit and the criminal."He stopped breathing for a second.Then he burst out laughing.His men tried to giggle but he silenced them with one arm swing.
"What's so funny huh?"
"You.Red the bandit…freed me from prison?"
"I feel like we would be good duo. My brother's waiting outside so hurry up and let's get out of here!"
"Why me of all creatures?"
"We both hold grudges against the Genshi.Kraven please."
"I don't need a partner,I already have my men."
"I PAYED MILLIONS FOR ALL OF YOU TO GET OUT OF HERE!!!WHY WONT YOU TRUST ME?!"
"What's your race?"
"Half human half Navajo…"
"I don't really know what to say about that."
"Kraven just…trust me."
"FINE.You can stop complaining and we'll all meet outside.This better not be a waste of time…EVERYBODY,FOLLOW ME AND RED."
"YES SIR."
They marched continuously from the cells to the reception to outside where Kibo stood worried sitting on the floor.
"Get up brother,we're leaving."
"Finally!"
"Hello Kibo."Kraven took his hand out,offering Kibo to shake it.
"CURSED CROWS?RED?YOU DIDNT TELL ME-"
"Shut up!You're always complaining when I'm trying to protect you but for s0me reason YOU CANT SEE THAT!"
"Calm down you two,he doesn't have to shake my hand if he doesn't want to.That's not the point.The point is we have to co operate as a team from this point onward."
Red looked at Kibo.
"He's right brother,he's on our side now."
"Murder.
Evasion from federal forces.
Evasion from taxes.
Destruction of property.
Illegal transactions.
Slavery.
Racism.
Discrimination.
Arson.
Aggravated assault
Child labour.
Manipulation,
Corruption.
Increase of poverty.
Homicide
Genocide.
Burglary.
Vandalism!
All those crimes were committed by the man standing before us."Kibo pointed,widened eyes.
"I think you're drunk…why did you bring alcohol with?"
"IM NOT DRUNK!I'VE BEEN ALWAYS TELLING THE TRUTH AND ALWAYS GOING ON THE RIGHT SIDE BUT YOU DON'T WANT TO LISTEN BECAUSE YOU'RE BLINDED BY EVIL!"
He panted for breath,clutching his chest in fear.Sweat ran down his cheek like small drops of water from the rain.Kraven tilted to Red slowly.
"If you want,I can kill him."He whispered.
"No he's my brother…I would never..betray my brother. He's just acting dumb like multiple times before!"
"I can see that."
"Hey if you don't agree with Kraven then you can go!You don't have to be apart of this!"
One guard shouted.Before anymore could continue,Kraven raised his hand as a sign to stand down.
"You have some pretty good control over your guards."
"Thank you.But we can't stay here for long."
"You have horses right?"
"No.."Kraven looked down at the floor,fidgeting with his fingers. He was nervous for some reason,Red thought.
"Where are they then?"
"Lenny…he killed them then fed our horses to us.""
"Oh!Sorry."
"It's fine but I still miss my horse."
Everybody went silent for a moment.They looked down at the floor as a sign of mercy and repentance again the humans.
He looked back up again.Cold,heartless.
Full of no emotion even.His whole presence was so dull as if he was going to a funeral.But the influence.
Every crow wore plague doctors outfits despite not having the black plague anymore.The reason they wore it was to show that they were true to their race and that they respected their leaders.
You're considered a fraud if you don't wear it.That's why Karasu died.Karasu.His only child. If he didn't meet another wife and have kids again soon,well..there would be no offspring for Kraven to carry on the cursed legacy.
But he could always transfer the leadership to one of his own men.
"What now?"
"We march for a long time.Your feet will ache but trust me the journey is worth it.NOW COME!"
The group left quickly.They trotted from place to place.Town to town.Biome to biome.The exhaustion got to them but what was the one thing keeping them together?It wasn't Kraven,it was…
"STAY DETERMINED.DON'T GIVE UP."He shouted.The crows chanted and chanted. He was growing,developing as a character even.
Through harsh winter storms to dry dusty desserts to tropical two sided jungles and more.They explored a lot.That's when they found the nearest horse stable.
"Let me go in,you guys wait out here."Red said confidently. He stepped inside and walked up to what seemed to be the owner.
"Hello!How can I help you?"
"I need about 850 horses."
"Oh my!That's quite a big number.I can guarantee you we don't have that big of a number."The owner looked outside through the window and saw Kraven and his men chatting.
"Kraven Crow?!"
She gasped,keeping her hands closer to her chest.
"Don't worry I bailed him out it's not illegal."
"Why would you bail someone like that out?!"
"I have reasons I'd like not to share."
"Alright then,if you want 850 horses for 850 then that won't be possibly unfortunately.But I do have 200 horses as my last batch for tonight."
"How much yen?"
"100 yen per horse."
Red counted his money and gave 20,000 yen.She accepted it gracefully and opened the horses cages one by one.She tied them by ropes and let them out.
"Have a-a..good day."
"You too!"Red left in excitement.Everything was going according to plan.
"4 men on each horse approximately."
"What?"Kraven questioned.
"I bought 200 horses because she said she didn't have enough for one man one horse."
Kraven nodded and escorted his men as evenly as he could. In squads,they shortly got onto each horse,including Kibo and Red.
After sorting everything,the group left,galloping on horses in the middle of the night as stars and galaxies gazed upon them.
But at some point that would disappear and the sun would come out.The beauty.The natural state of the universe is over taken by the sun.Night is the natural state of the universe.
With no sun,it would always be dark,it'd be colder and harder to live.
So we're lucky that there is a sun.I don't know if it'll be here forever.Nothing lasts forever.
Maku paced back and fourth.He was working his way to de coding this page but it was really hard to encrypt due to being human.
"We look pathetic compared to other races.."
"Don't be negative right now,we need to focus."Kimiko grabbed the book off him and examined it closely.
"Give it back!"
The two fought over it like toddlers while I watched giggling.
"You don't get to laugh!"
"Wait-"Maku attacked me,I fell to the ground with my ribs hurting.
"BE MORE GENTLE!"
"Tell that sister of yours to GIVE THE BOOK BACK!"
"Kimiko..listen to Maku."
"Wait something's happening!"
"What is it?"
We gathered round the book once more and saw glowing text,glowing illustrations,glowing everything.
"This is..something different!"Maku exclaimed. He pointed to a drawing of a sea serpent.Enchanted text wrote itself,it said,
Behold ancient tales
Prophesied centuries back
Shadows of vengeance
Crawl upon you sinful creatures
Indeed we shall harm the evil
Protect the good
Before we come 3 signs will emerge
Turn to good the angel will say
The demon will be evil
The serpent shall follow the demon
These three make up the ILO
A rebellion will take place
Destroying cities and more

There's not much time left before the ILO arrive

This is a warning
"Oh no. It's them."Maku took a few steps back.
"The ILO?"I had no idea what the ILO was.
"An ancient trio from another dimension.There's been rumors that one day they would arrive to Earth and that each member would serve a purpose.Now that day is going to arrive soon,after the signs of course."
"What are the signs?"We looked back at the page.
"The first sign,increase of light wielding and increase of evil.
Second sign.Disappearance of water and serpents then a sudden increase in the Serpent Kingdom.
Third sign.A man will go from weak to the strongest being in the universe,also known as the Overlord."
The book said.I took out the moonstone,it was shining like crazy.SLAM!It went into the floor,making small cracks.A gush of wind blew against our clothes.I looked down upon the moonstone.Something big was about to go down.
