Arthur's cold eyes sharpened, and in an instant, he made his move.
His sharp sword cut through the air, heading towards Lukas's brows in an instant.
'What speed…'
The speed of the sword attack by Arthur surprised Lukas greatly, and he could only hastily raise his own sword to block the attack.
Bang!
Both youths collided, and the force of Arthur's attack forced the youth three steps back.
"What?" the elders exclaimed in shock, finally seeing Arthur's true strength.
"Isn't he supposed to be a Summoner? How's he so strong?" another elder muttered in puzzlement.
Lukas took a few seconds to stabilize himself, however, his pupils constricted when he saw Arthur charging at him like a savage beast once more.
He raised the sword in his hand, executing a swift attack in return.
Arthur smoothly moved to the side, dodging the attack and making a counterattack of his own.
Bang!
Within a few minutes, both youths released more than three attacks.
"They are on par!" the elders' eyes widened in shock.
However, one of them quickly realized something after a close examination.
"No. The King is suppressing Lukas. There is greater strength behind his attacks, and there is a hidden intent behind every sword swing. It's only a matter of time before Lukas loses."
A discussion between the elders began as they started guessing who would emerge victorious from the battle.
Just as the elder had stated, with a few more exchanges, Lukas's hand trembled and he almost lost grip of his sword.
Using this chance, Arthur twisted his blade, using its hilt to stab Lukas lightly, sending him staggering backward.
Lukas managed to stabilize himself, however, it was obvious who had emerged victorious in the brief exchange.
Arthur no longer paid Lukas any heed, turning his attention back to the elders with a smile.
Lukas's eyes flickered with a cruel light at the blatant disregard.
'You are my age mate. Just because you have more access to resources and are born into a better bloodline doesn't mean you can look down on me!'
He gritted his teeth and executed the greatest attack he could muster.
Arthur's back was turned, so he didn't see the attack coming, and in the next moment, a slashing sound as though someone's head had been cut off resounded.
All the elders froze in their tracks.
How did this happen?
Their eyes widened in shock as blood sprayed onto the ground.
Then with a loud thud, a figure collapsed lifelessly to the ground.
It was Lukas.
Arthur retrieved his sword, not bothering to stare at Lukas behind him.
He turned to the guards who stood at the door with a dumbfounded expression. "Clean up the mess."
After he finished speaking, he casually went to his seat and sat down, staring calmly at the petrified gazes of the elders.
"Is there something on my face?" Arthur broke out into a smile, touching his bald head with a laugh.
The elders finally recovered from their daze.
They never expected that just like that, the strongest prodigy within the Pendragon household would lose his life.
Nevertheless, they quickly regained themselves, and Arthur saw an excited expression appear on the elders' faces.
"Your Highness, how are you so strong? Are you certain you are just a Level One player?"
Arthur nodded calmly and replied with an unfazed expression.
"It's only natural for the King to be so strong at Level One."
Hearing his shameless words, the elders didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
However, Arthur wasn't lying, because this was his current stats after clearing the dungeons with the Dragon Knight.
…
[Name: Arthur Pendragon.]
[Class: Calamity Summoner.]
[Level: 1.]
[Strength: 30.]
[Defence: 26.]
[Dexterity: 29.]
[Health: 100.]
[Mana: 110.]
…
Arthur had realized that he was basically stuck at Level 1.
It seemed to be a curse of some sort due to his unique class, Calamity Summoner.
However, his other stats weren't frozen.
With this discovery, Arthur realized that at any time he gained half the stats of his calamities.
In essence, all three of his stats were the combination of half of his summons' stats.
Simply put, by making his summons stronger, Arthur was growing stronger as well.
And not only that, the more calamities he had, the stronger he became.
It was practically leading Arthur towards an overpowered route.
Arthur chuckled darkly at the thought.
'Perhaps it won't be long before I see Mother again.'
Placing that thought aside, Arthur returned his gaze to the elders.
"Now do you feel confident in me passing the entrance examination?"
"Although it will still be a little difficult, now we at least feel confident in your capabilities," an elder from the group praised outwardly.
Arthur smiled wryly, then stood up.
Today had been a stressful day so far, and besides, tomorrow he would begin his journey to the academy.
"The meeting for today is over. Tomorrow we will briefly discuss how things will be handled before I set off for the academy."
"Yes, Your Highness." All the elders stood up, paying their respects to Arthur.
Arthur smiled at their behavior, then smoothly left for his room.
The moment he left, the elders fell into a heated discussion.
…
More than twelve hours went by in a flash.
Arthur had finally assigned the roles each elder was to play while he wasn't around.
Of course, over the years while growing up, he had learned a thing or two about ruling a noble family from his father.
Seeing them waving him off, he smiled and climbed onto the horse-like beast.
"I, Arthur Pendragon, the King of the Pendragon Family, will bring glory to the family!"
At his solemn declaration, the elders were moved to tears, bowing wholeheartedly towards Arthur as the horse began walking lightly into the dense forest not too far away.
The sun reflected off Arthur's bald head, making him look like the true King, being acknowledged by the sun itself.
Arthur also had a thought.
'This should be the first time a King is attending an academy, right?'
Although he had this thought, Arthur quickened his pace to the unknown.
A faint smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he recalled someone.
Not someone, three ladies in particular.
His three step-sisters.
If Arthur's guess wasn't wrong, then they were at the academy as well.
'Hah… this academy will truly be interesting…'
