Chapter 17 - Domineering Titan

"What the fuck is going on here!?"

Arthur's loud voice cut through the air filled with tension.

A few meters away from him was a slender young woman with fair, tender skin. Her clothes were slightly ripped, leaving her a bit exposed, but nothing leaning into immodesty.

Her eyes frantically scanned the surroundings, then were finally drawn to Arthur the moment he spoke.

Surrounding her were more than ten men, but only three of them were actively making moves on her while the others busied themselves searching the carriage beside them.

It was pretty obvious that the carriage must have been the woman's escort.

She glanced at Arthur, then let out a shaky breath, glancing at him with a particular glint in her eyes.

Arthur rolled his eyes internally but still maintained his stance.

"Bwahahahahaha…" After a brief silence, one of the bandits fell into a fit of laughter.

The others beside him burst out laughing as well.

"What the fuck do we have here? A random kid trying to play the hero?" one of the bandits sneered, glaring at Arthur and sensing his aura, which was basically at level one.

They were astounded.

Where did Arthur get his courage from? Or was he naturally just that stupid?

Just as they were about to quickly eliminate Arthur, who was still standing atop his horse, they sensed something.

Something dreadful.

The clang of steel resounded in the air as though some kind of terrifying steel monster was approaching.

"What the fuck is that noise?" one of the bandits complained.

The others turned around and shook their heads, not understanding who was coming.

"Perhaps it's…" The words of the bandit who had begun speaking trailed off the moment the Dragon Knight stepped into view.

Towering at two meters, with the sunlight starkly reflecting off its steel armor, the Dragon Knight truly looked like the hero of the world.

As the Dragon Knight walked, its boots pressed lightly on the ground, caving it in slightly. The pressure of a player at level 14 was far above what the bandits, who were barely level 10, could handle.

Finally, standing rooted in their spots, they could only watch as the Dragon Knight approached them, its golden sword hanging from its shoulder.

Upon reaching them, Titan raised the massive sword in his grasp from his shoulder and then slashed forward, the wind rustling as the attack let out a sonic boom.

Before one of the bandits—a level 6 player—could react, his body exploded, bones and gore splashing onto the ground.

Then, the Dragon Knight shifted its attention to the remaining ten bandits.

"What—what the fuck?" One bandit, a level 8 player, felt his knees grow weak as he collapsed to the ground, staring at the Dragon Knight in sheer terror.

The Dragon Knight didn't spare him a glance, shifting his gaze to the remaining bandits.

"You—please, sir! We… we will give you whatever you want! Gold? Wealth? The woman? Anything!" another bandit, who was a level 10 player, immediately began pleading.

Even he knew he couldn't eliminate a level 6 player as easily as the Golden Knight had done.

The Dragon Knight didn't pause in the slightest as its massive sword sliced through the air with another resounding bang, cleaving through another bandit and exploding his body.

"Fireball!" Seeing that the Golden Knight was unwilling to comply with their request, the level 10 player immediately cast a fireball attack.

Being a mage with an F-rank fire affinity, he didn't believe he lacked the capabilities to deal with the Dragon Knight.

A small, palm-sized fireball flew from the hand of the level 10 bandit, hurling through the air like a scorching wave and landing on the Golden Knight.

He expected the Dragon Knight to at least be stunned and take a step or two back. However, the Dragon Knight seemed unfazed by the attack.

There was no damage done to Titan's golden armor, and the battle scars that ran deep into the cracks within the golden armor began crackling with lightning and fire.

"You… you're also a mage?" The level 10 player widened his eyes in shock.

But before he could react, the air around him burst apart as a purple arc of lightning slid smoothly through his skull.

His eyes remained open in horror and disbelief, as though he couldn't accept the fact that he was dead.

Shifting his attention, the Dragon Knight realized that another bandit was already running away from the location of the fight.

Stretching his hand, Titan let out a bolt of lightning hurling toward the bandit.

BANG!

The bandit, who had already run a few meters, suddenly exploded.

After that, the Dragon Knight went on to swiftly deal with the remaining bandits.

They couldn't run because Titan would kill them with his lightning, and fighting him was pointless since their attacks couldn't harm him in the slightest.

They were like sitting ducks and could only reluctantly wait for their deaths, which arrived one after the other.

After dealing with all of them, Titan pierced his sword into the ground and stood like a towering mountain, his gaze fixed on the lady as the startling golden eyes bore into her.

The lady was frozen in her tracks and didn't know what to do for a while.

Her eyes remained on the Dragon Knight as she began dressing herself properly.

"Titan, you didn't have to kill them all so brutally…" Arthur's lighthearted voice came from behind as he approached with the horse.

Titan shifted his gaze promptly to Arthur, as though wondering what was wrong with brutally dealing with the enemy, then returned his gaze to the lady.

Arthur just shook his head, his gaze briefly wandering through the blood and guts spilled around the surroundings as a bloody stench filled his nose.

"Y–you… are you the one who saved me?"

Watching the exchange between the two, how could the lady not understand that Arthur was the master of the knight?

'So young and already possessing such a formidable protector. However… what's with the head?'

The lady tried to hold in her laughter as her eyes briefly glanced at Arthur's reflective, mirror-like head.

'Still, it doesn't change the fact that he saved me. Is he from a prominent high-level family? I don't see any lecherous look in his eyes, so I doubt it… but where else can he get such a terrifying protector?'

Many thoughts swirled through the lady's mind.

"Yeah, I am," Arthur nodded at her words.

The lady managed to pick herself up after confirming that Titan wouldn't suddenly dismantle her, then bowed respectfully toward Arthur.

"Thank you for saving me…"

As she greeted, Arthur's attention wasn't on her because he had received a seductive notification from the system.
