The Golden rays of sunlight cast their warm glow onto the head of a young man who looked to be around sixteen, reflecting off a tree from his bald scalp.
The man seemed unfazed by the cluster of trees around him, continuing on his way as though he didn't have a care in the world.
Tightly wrapped around his neck was a cleanly white Fox with a serene expression, sleeping peacefully. It was obvious that the little creature had eaten its fill.
Arthur rubbed the little creature's head, then focused his gaze on the road.
He had left the Pendragon noble family a while ago, and by now it had already been more than a few hours; the large mansion was no longer in sight.
He let out a breath and continued on his way, the rustling of leaves and trees accompanying him all the while.
Finally, after being beaten by the sun for a long time, Arthur tied his horse to a tree and settled his gaze around.
He rubbed his slightly hot head. 'Damn, it's really not easy being bald. I should have had a hat or something,' Arthur thought with slight regret.
Now willing to dwell on it no longer, he gently rubbed the little creature.
'Time to catch something nice to eat.'
Although Arthur had never learned cooking in this world, his knowledge of cooking from Earth, which was above average, made him an extremely good chef here.
With that thought, he took out a small dagger strapped to his waist and began scaling through the trees and bushes.
His movements were swift and precise; he tried his best not to match on anything that could make a loud noise and startle the creatures in the forest.
Finally, he reached a location and saw a rabbit that looked twice as big as normal, nibbling on a fruit, its furry ears twitching repeatedly as it ate.
Without hesitation, Arthur slowed down his pace.
'Come, little creature… I promise it won't hurt…'
Arthur chuckled wickedly, then jumped at the rabbit and landed a killing blow.
The rabbit widened its eyes in terror, staring at the human as though it couldn't believe it had been killed so easily.
Its blood spilled onto the ground, and it twitched briefly before finally succumbing to death.
Arthur laughed and slapped the head of the dead creature. "Why do you have to make such a big fuss over dying?"
With a lighthearted laugh, he carried the creature back into the forest, a small smile playing on his lips.
"Titan!" Arthur summoned from his summoning space.
The next instant, the space beside him rippled violently, and a pitch-black, endless calamity portal radiating a dense aura of destruction appeared.
From within it stepped the towering Golden Knight, its Golden steel armor gleaming under the reflective sunlight.
The pressure it brought caused the rustling of the trees to increase, and in its hand it gripped a sword tightly, glancing around for whatever opponent Arthur wanted him to slay.
Seeing no one around, it bent its head toward Arthur, its Golden eyes flickering with curiosity.
"Why do you have to be so serious all the time?" Arthur joked with a laugh, then pointed at the pieces of wood he had gathered earlier.
"You have fire element, right? Light it up for me."
The Golden Knight's body stiffened for a moment as it glanced down at the wood on the ground, then at Arthur, as though it couldn't believe he was asking him to do it.
Shaking his head, Titan stretched his hand, and a spark of flame flew from his fingertips, landing on the piece of wood.
"Careful or you might burn the wood!" Arthur exclaimed in annoyance, immediately setting up the fire and beginning to roast the meat, having marinated it to perfection.
Within a few minutes, a unique smell filled the air, causing the little Fox's nose to twitch and its eyes to widen briefly in surprise.
The creature stretched a tail gently toward the piece of meat, as though reaching to grab it.
"Woah there, feisty one… the meat isn't even ready. When it's ready, you'll eat!" Arthur didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
His first calamity was so obedient, why did the second one have to be so troublesome?
'I hope the third calamity is a little different from this one. I don't know what I'll do with two troublesome summons.'
Arthur then sat in silence with his two summoned calamities as they waited for the meat to finish searing.
After checking it thoroughly, Arthur confirmed that the meal was ready. He immediately served both himself and the Fox, watching the little creature devour it.
"Titan, you sure you don't want a bite of this delicacy?" Arthur teased with a slow smirk.
The towering Knight just turned its gaze around, scanning the surroundings for any danger.
Finally, after roughly thirty minutes, Arthur patted his belly in satisfaction.
'The sun is still high up in the sky,' he noticed, then walked toward the horse and loosened it before climbing on.
He turned to Titan. "I'll have to unsummon you for now… when I'm in extreme danger, I'll call you out."
Titan's Golden eyes gleamed with hesitation as it glanced around the unsafe terrain. How could he let his master wander this dangerous place?
What if danger struck and he wasn't there in time to save him?
With this thought, the Dragon fell into deep contemplation.
Seeing this, Arthur was stupefied, staring at the Dragon Knight as though he couldn't understand its line of thinking.
The silence stretched between them for a short while before Arthur finally noticed a ripple surfacing around the Dragon Knight.
The air around him shifted briefly before the loud rustling of leaves began resounding.
'A tornado?' Arthur glanced around in shock.
But to his astonishment, he realized the rustling was emerging from a single source…
The Dragon Knight.
"What's going on?" Arthur muttered under his breath but didn't move to disturb the Dragon Knight.
He stared at the Knight to see what changes it was undergoing.
Finally, a seductive feminine voice echoed in his mind.
