Chapter 27 - Flames, Lightning, and a Sword from the Sky

The dream of juicy chicken legs shattered in an instant.Little Hay's entire body jolted again—the delicious fantasy replaced by the familiar, long-lost scent of milk.

"Ha haaa!"Shiao laughed loudly, retracting his finger and pretending to sleep.

Little Hay raised its head, dazed. It stared suspiciously at the "sleeping" boy beside it.

After observing Shiao for a long moment, the dog laid down slowly and pretended to sleep again.Moments later, it sensed a chubby little hand creeping toward it.

This time, Little Hay struck first. It leaped up and bit down hard on the small hand.

Crackle—!

Unfortunately for the poor mutt… the hand was fully electrified.

A shower of sparks burst inside the cabin, and Little Hay was blasted into the air—smoke rings puffing from its mouth.

"Grandma… you're waving at me in my dream…"the dog whimpered faintly as it twitched.

Hundreds of kilometers east, another helicopter followed rapidly behind.Inside, the three women hadn't slept a moment.Their expressions were tight with worry as they stared out the window.

Wang Siki had called her brother dozens of times—not a single answer.

Luckily, the Wang Family helicopter had a tracking system. They were closing in on his location.

But why had the pilot flown her brother to the northwest? What was her brother thinking?

All answers would reveal themselves once they met.

Early morning.

All soldiers at the military base gathered urgently in the main square.Sher Uaha stepped onto the platform, arms crossed, brows sharp as blades, his gaze sweeping across 450,000 troops.

Fifteen Grandmasters lined up behind him in two solemn rows.Dozens of high-ranking officers stood ready.

Sher Uaha's voice thundered across the base:

"As men of China, we fear neither injury nor death. You stand upon the border of our homeland.Every step you retreat—is territory lost.

If the country is destroyed…the family perishes.

E Country bares the fangs of a wolf. How shall we respond to their invasion?!"

"KILL! KILL! KILL!"

Four hundred thousand soldiers roared in unison.

Shiao stood among them.Due to manpower shortages, even he had been sent to the front lines.Sher Uaha's words ignited something in every heart—rage boiling to the crown.

Under Sher Uaha's command, the 450,000 soldiers recited Man Jiang Hong in unison.Their voices shook mountains and rivers.

Soon after, all troops returned to their posts.

The great battle was about to begin.

"Attack!!"

The horn of war blared, shaking heaven and earth.

Tanks rolled forward.Missiles launched.Jet engines howled.Gunfire streaked across the battlefield as both armies surged in.

On the chaotic front lines, four strange figures in foreign attire rushed into the Chinese battlefield.Bullets and shells curved around them as if repelled by an invisible force.

A red-haired man lifted his hand casually—a massive wave of fire burst forth, engulfing over a dozen soldiers in an instant.

"Heh, Bruce," a blond superhuman smirked, "want to compete? Let's see who kills more."

"Alright! Who's scared of who?"

With each movement, more lives vanished.

On the high platform, Sher Uaha stared coldly at the four figures.Zoner stood beside him and quickly explained:

"These four are S-level superhumans from E Country.The red-haired one is Bruce—fire element.The blond one is Adam—lightning element.The tall one is Austin—earth element.And the last one, Arthur—also fire element.But Arthur's strength surpasses Bruce.He possesses late-stage Grandmaster power."

Sher Uaha nodded sharply and signaled to the four Grandmasters. They leapt into the battlefield to intercept the enemy.

The remaining Grandmasters remained on standby.

In the trenches, Shao crouched down shaking, gripping his rifle like a lifeline.

He missed the days of running errands for the young master.Tiring, yes—but at least he wouldn't die.

Swish—

A piercing sound ripped through the air.

Shao looked up.A shell was falling toward him—fast.

The oval projectile grew larger in his pupils.

In that moment… he seemed to see his long-dead great-grandfather waving at him.

Too late to run.

He shut his eyes tightly.

"Please… let it be quick…"

FLASH!

A golden light streaked across the battlefield.

BOOM!!!

One second.Two seconds.Three seconds.

Shao opened his eyes.He patted himself all over.

"W-What? Am I dead? Where's the cannonball?!"

In the sky, a golden flying sword zipped across the battlefield before shooting away into the distance.

Then, like an obedient pet returning to its master, the Golden Crow Sword drifted back down into Shao's hands.

He blinked in disbelief.

"W-Why did Big Brother Shao secretly come here…?"

Inside the helicopter, Shiao frowned as he stared toward the horizon.

He was close—very close—to his second sister's military base.Time to prepare for landing.

He controlled the pilot to descend slowly.

At the same time, alarms blared in the military base.

"Warning! An unidentified flying object is approaching!"

A red dot blinked on the radar.

A soldier adjusted his electronic telescope.

Another soldier beside him asked anxiously:

"Is it an enemy aircraft? Should we fire?!"

"Uh… I don't think so.It's just… a normal helicopter with Chinese writing on it."

"What writing?"

"Uh… 'Shiao Number Two.'"

Both soldiers froze.

A helicopter with that name?Who in the world…?

The soldier beside him coughed lightly.

"Attempt radio contact when it comes closer. If there's no response—"
