Chapter 28 - The Boy Who Fell From the Sky

It wasn't too late to attack. Both soldiers nodded simultaneously, their expressions turning solemn as they stared at the red mark on the radar. When the aircraft finally entered communication range, the soldier sent a signal to the helicopter.

Inside, Xiaowu—still excited and preparing to land—suddenly heard a strange man's voice from the console.

"Black helicopter, you have entered our military jurisdiction. Please state your identity, purpose, and department."

Xiaowu listened blankly until the man finished speaking, finally realizing they were questioning why he was here.Of course he was here to save his sister!

He leaned forward and answered in his childish voice:

"I'm here to find my dad! My dad's name is Sha Hua, and Wang Ying is my second sister!"

The helicopter continued its descent, and once again, the console transmitted that unfamiliar voice:

"You have entered our military jurisdiction. State your purpose immediately or we will take defensive measures."

Xiaowu's eyes widened. "He can't hear me… what should I do?"He turned to Shiai Hei. "Do you know how to make him hear? Shiai Hei?"

The little dog barked once as if saying, Are you seriously asking me?

Despite the repeated warnings from the air defense department, the black helicopter ignored all signals and continued descending.

"Launch infrared-guided attacks on the unidentified flying object!"

The operators received the order immediately. Anti-aircraft weapons activated and locked onto the black helicopter.

In the next instant, countless missiles shot toward Xiaowu.

"W–waaaah!" Xiaowu screamed, activating his spiritual power out of sheer panic. A transparent protective barrier formed around the helicopter. Dozens of missiles suddenly slowed as they neared him and eventually froze in mid-air, unable to advance.

The air defense officers were utterly dumbfounded.

More missiles were launched.More missiles were stopped.Within seconds, hundreds of missiles hovered around the helicopter—making it look like a gigantic metallic hedgehog.

Xiaowu finally exhaled in relief. He frowned, pouting angrily.

"You bad guys! Once I find my sister, I'll teach you a lesson!"

He was definitely a grudge-holder.

The entire air defense department was silent, unsure how to react to the absurd scene unfolding before them.

"Shaowu Number Two, prepare to land!"

With his excited shout, the helicopter smoothly touched down. The suspended missiles slowly dropped to the ground like dead leaves. The command center immediately dispatched soldiers to investigate the mysterious aircraft.

Inside the cabin, Xiaowu released his spiritual consciousness, scanning the surroundings.

"Shiai Hei, come with me. Quick! Someone's coming!"

He opened the cabin door, scooped the dog under his arm, and sprinted away. His speed was astonishing, and he avoided every approaching soldier with his spiritual sense guiding him.

From afar, a soldier exclaimed, "Just now—it looked like a little boy ran out of the helicopter!"

"A boy!?"

Everyone was confused. Nothing made sense anymore.

A large group of armed soldiers approached the helicopter. There was no movement from inside, which made them even more suspicious.

Several soldiers stepped into the cabin and aimed their weapons at the pilot.

"Who are you? State your purpose!"

The pilot, who had just regained consciousness, looked completely lost. He had only just boarded the helicopter moments before… how did he end up surrounded by soldiers?

"S–sir… I—I am the Wang Family's driver, and our family head is Sha Hua…"

The soldier's eyebrows shot up."Then why didn't you respond earlier? Why did you trespass into the military area? Why did you come here?"

The rapid-fire questions made the pilot's scalp numb. His mind was blank.

"I—I don't know…"

"Take him away!"

The poor pilot almost cried right there. He truly had no idea what was happening.

Meanwhile, at the far edge of the military base, a small boy and a dog peeked out from behind a wall, cautiously observing the area.

Xiaowu whispered, "Shiai Hei… if we want to find my sister, we need to find out where she is first."

The dog nodded firmly, almost human-like.

"Dad definitely won't tell me… so let's go find Sha Lugage first. After that, we can figure out how to rescue my sister."

He was ready to take action—but then froze.

Hold on.

"There are so many people around Sha Lugage… if I go directly, I'll be discovered immediately…"

Xiaowu scratched his head, thinking hard.

"What should I do…?"
