Back in his room at the abandoned factory, Logan quietly observed the panel.
Killing Conrad, a potential threat, had not only granted him new abilities but also increased his Free Points by three and his Upgrade Points by one.
Looking at the panel data, Logan wasn't in a hurry to use his Free Points.
The current situation was no longer peaceful; who knew what kind of predicament he might encounter?
He would save those Free Points for when the crucial moment arrived and use them where they were needed to strengthen himself.
Besides these points, Logan also focused on the [Current Physical Condition] section.
Previously, his physical condition had been gradually deteriorating and was in poor shape.
Although his current condition was still poor, the deterioration seemed to have slowed and was gradually stabilizing.
The improved Healing Factor was subtly offsetting years of damage to his body, allowing his bodily functions to gradually recover.
However, it hadn't completely countered the damage caused by the Adamantium alloy.
"It seems the enhanced healing ability is working," Logan sighed with relief.
For him now, the healing ability was paramount. Without it, he was unable to resist serious injuries, nor could he return his aging body to its youth.
Only by fully restoring his healing ability could he ward off death.
Thinking of this, Logan, without hesitation, allocated all his Upgrade Points to the Healing Factor.
He had to recover it as soon as possible to get rid of this weak, aging body!
After adding the points, Logan curiously observed his new ability.
"Heat Vision..."
Heat Vision, a high-temperature energy, sounds common, but it can penetrate any matter with ease. Golden Age Superman could even burn through a planet with his Heat Vision!
Thinking of this, Logan felt a pang of anticipation.
He didn't expect his Heat Vision to be as terrifyingly powerful as Superman's, but he hoped it wasn't too weak.
Holding his breath, he concentrated his attention and fixed his gaze on a spot on the table.
Buzz...
A surge of violent energy suddenly concentrated in his eyes, a flickering fire within them.
As Logan intensified his concentration, the fire turned crimson, as if a voracious blaze was burning within his dark pupils, radiating an intense heat that made the room suffocating.
Boom!
Suddenly, two blazing red beams shot out from his eyes, like twin lasers.
Bang!
The beams instantly pierced the table; the steel table deformed like tofu, offering no resistance, leaving a coin-sized hole. The surrounding steel glowed crimson, as if scorched by flames.
The tremendous impact made the entire table shake violently, even rattling the walls. A large piece of the already flimsy wall plaster peeled off, scattering dust everywhere.
"Logan, what are you doing?!" Caliban, his neighbor, shouted impatiently. "I was about to fall asleep!"
"Nothing," Logan replied loudly, "I just accidentally bumped into the table."
That said, Logan's gaze returned to the hole in the table, his face filled with excitement. He extended a finger, touching the hole curiously, but the moment his hand touched it, he was instantly repelled by the intense heat, leaving a very clear burn on his finger.
Seeing the burn mark on his fingertip, Logan felt no discomfort, but excitement.
"It might not be as good as Cyclops's vision right now, but it's enough."
Logan touched his burning eye, and Scott involuntarily popped into his mind. "If that guy were here, he'd be surprised."
However, he hadn't used the full power of his Heat Vision!
Heat Vision is primarily a high-temperature energy beam; according to the Golden Superman setting, its maximum temperature could even be comparable to that generated by the Big Bang.
That is the highest temperature ever recorded in the universe; compared to that, the temperature of the sun is as insignificant as a candle.
Heat Vision, on the other hand, can be mentally controlled, allowing the user to adjust its intensity and direction at will.
Of course, Logan's Heat Vision is currently not that terrifyingly powerful.
[Heat Vision (Upgradeable)]
The phrase "Upgradeable" indicates that his current Heat Vision is only in its most basic form.
This newly awakened ability, just like the Healing Factor, can be continuously strengthened, although whether there is an upper limit is unknown!
The strengthening method is also the same as the Healing Factor: it requires Upgrade Points.
If he could fully strengthen his Heat Vision, he might unleash a terrifying power comparable to the Silver Superman!
However, Logan also knows that the Upgrade Points needed to bring his Heat Vision to its final form are probably astronomical.
At this stage, it seems distant to him, and the Prestige he has gained in recent days is minimal.
Logan took a deep breath, suppressing his excitement.
After this incident, he has discovered how to acquire new abilities: simply obtaining a certain amount of Prestige Points triggers the awakening of a new ability.
In other words, the more Prestige he gains, the more abilities he obtains.
"It seems I need to find a way to earn more Prestige."
Logan's eyes sparkled; his desire to rebuild the mutant race was stronger than ever.
After all, it had already been explained to him that the Prestige obtained from mutants was double that from ordinary humans. Only within the mutant community could he acquire more Prestige more quickly!
While pondering this, Logan suddenly noticed the burn mark on his fingertip, which had begun to heal without him realizing it.
Although it hadn't completely healed, a thick scab had formed.
This was a burn, and normally burns first blister before a scab gradually forms.
But now, only a few minutes had passed, and a scab had already formed on the wound!
Touching the scab with his fingertip, Logan's lips curled into a smile. This meant that his self-healing ability had recovered a bit!
Although not as fast as in his prime, Logan had never imagined that his Healing Factor could recover.
This was a good start.
Given enough time, his Healing Factor would completely recover to its maximum potential.
Perhaps it would even surpass it, because the upgrade had no upper limit, which meant he could upgrade it infinitely as long as he had the time.
