"Your meeting went well."
Aria said as Marcus returned to their suite that afternoon. He'd been gone three hours, and she'd spent the time reviewing files and evidence against Marcus.
"Better than expected. The collector wants to sell his entire Impressionist collection. Twelve pieces, all authenticated and all museum quality." Marcus loosened his tie. "It's a significant acquisition."
"How significant?"
"Eighty million."
Aria whistled softly. "That's substantial."
"It is. But worth it. Three of the pieces are Monets that haven't been on the market in forty years." He pulled her to her feet. "Enough about work. I want to take you somewhere tonight."
"Where?"
"A surprise. But it requires formal attire." He said.
They spent the rest of the afternoon in bed. Marcus was insatiable, touching her constantly, as if he couldn't quite believe she was real.
"You're going to wear me out," Aria said after the second round.
