I felt empty of the mist and the past hunger and physical weakness and lack of energy, a burden to every movement I made. I looked around... There's Oswin and close to him by their cot was Maud who stood dead still with eyes focused on me dead and listless.
I grabbed a sack with no traces of black mist on it and picked up herbs, grabbed anything edible and useful and placed them in a clean corner, "I'll raise your husband somewhere with more black mist or rather death energy, I'll figure out what to call this energy it later..." I muttered. Where should I put them...? the rat traces are everywhere and I think this place is the cleanest in this village, mauds house would be my food store house...
I got Maud to carry Oswin out, get the plague out of my pantry... And called Theron to follow along. Got him to carry the Cooper Coel and went to the graveyard... With the largest stores of Stillness / black mist, and proceeded to collect the deceased villagers and placed them in a neat rows about 40 people, my village decimated by the plague... Felt useless and said a small prayer, didn't know what else to do. Each one was a soul filled with life at some point and seeing the kids broke my heart.
I buried the kids and left the others in the snow, it kept the corpses fresh. The stillness was concentrated here, running my hands through it made it stick to my skin with no need to absorb it. I started absorbing it it felt hot like flushes through the body, as I got lightheaded I stopped... "I wonder what happens if I absorb it without stopping..." I muttered to myself " thought against it than started drawing the stillness into corpse Oswin after a minute he opened his eyes and got up, then moved to coel so did he after a minute and after I had raised the fifth corpse at the graveyard I noticed a thinning of the stillness then I stopped... Then a dark idea crossed my mind, what if I spread the plague across the kingdom and build a huge kingdom filled to the brim with stillness...
I along with the undead started collecting untainted food and utensils and storing them at Mauds place... I guess the village is mine now... I'll keep calling it this way anyway. Didn't need to hunt for a food anymore had enough for the whole winter.
Had to carry all the sacs if I didn't want the plague to touch my food supply, I was sort of immune but still I come from a more hygienic time so it's better this way I might play with corpses but I'm still a civilized man.
Started commanding the undead to clean each house and sweep and mop. Had some cutting down wood in the cold, while I kept track I started exercising doing resistance training and practicing my old judo routines.
