Cui was terrified and kept backing away. "Vegeta, this is just a misunderstanding between us! Don't be impulsive!"
"Let me join you! Let's fight against Frieza together!" he shouted, panic in his voice.
Cui knew he had to calm Vegeta down first.
Vegeta sneered. "Cui, do you think I'll believe your nonsense?"
"Lord Frieza!" Cui suddenly shouted, pointing behind Vegeta.
Vegeta looked back, but saw nothing.
"Haha! You've been fooled, Vegeta! Go to hell!"
Cui fired energy blasts at Vegeta with both hands.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
"Give me a bigger one!" he yelled, condensing a massive energy ball and launching it at Vegeta.
Boom!!
The area where Vegeta had been standing was completely obliterated.
Cui laughed arrogantly. "Now you know my power! Vegeta, I don't believe you'll survive my sneak attack!"
Vegeta appeared in front of him, arms crossed. "What are you grinning at?"
Cui stared in disbelief. "Vegeta… why aren't you hurt at all by my attack?"
"Are you an idiot? An increase in combat power also increases speed," Vegeta said, narrowing his eyes.
The memory of being defeated by Kakarot on Earth still haunted Vegeta, but he had learned to control his combat power.
Though much stronger now, he knew he was still no match for Kakarot.
Cui tried to escape, but Vegeta wasn't about to let him go.
Cui had flown less than fifty feet when Vegeta's energy ball struck him, blowing him to pieces.
After defeating Cui, Vegeta felt no excitement.
Instead, he thought, Dodoria and Zarbon are no match for me. The only one I need to watch is Frieza.
"According to the detector, we need all seven Dragon Balls," Vegeta said. "We'll take one for now and stop Frieza from collecting all of them."
With that, Vegeta flew away.
At the same time, a spaceship broke through Namek's atmosphere and landed.
When the hatch opened, Piccolo stepped out first, followed by Gohan, Krillin, Tien Shinhan, Chiaotzu, and Yamcha.
Son Gohan looked around. "So this is Uncle Piccolo's home planet! It's beautiful."
"Yeah, it really suits Piccolo," Krillin agreed.
Suddenly, everyone froze, sensing a powerful energy.
Son Gohan pointed fearfully. "Uncle Piccolo, there's a strong, evil energy nearby!"
Tien, Krillin, and the others sensed it too.
Piccolo warned, "Everyone, stay calm. Let's lower our energy signatures and assess the situation."
They all suppressed their anger and focused.
Krillin asked quietly, "Piccolo, is everyone on Namek evil? Goku said the people here were friendly."
Piccolo scanned the area. "Vegeta's energy is here too."
"What? So Vegeta's working with them?" Yamcha asked, shocked.
Tien nodded. "If nothing unexpected happened, that seems to be the case. Let's follow Piccolo's lead."
An hour later, the Z Warriors discovered a Namekian village.
Gohan clenched his fists. "Damn it! Uncle Piccolo's people… they were killed. So cruelly!"
Piccolo's fists tightened. "No matter who did this, they'll pay."
At that moment, Chiaotzu noticed a Namekian child moving. "Tien, I see a child who's still alive!"
"Really?" Tien asked, looking.
After receiving Senzu Beans from Krillin, the Namekian Dende finally woke up.
Through him, the Z Warriors learned what had happened.
Tien said seriously, "The enemy leader is a man named Frieza. He wants the Dragon Balls."
"Exactly! We can't let him succeed. If he gets the Dragon Balls, it'll be disastrous," Yamcha added.
Piccolo said grimly, "If I had arrived earlier, this tragedy wouldn't have happened."
"Piccolo, what should we do now?" Krillin asked.
Piccolo looked at Dende. "Take us to see the Great Elder."
"Okay," Dende agreed. He owed them, and they were his compatriots.
Even though Piccolo was furious, he didn't confront Frieza immediately. He planned to see the Great Elder first.
Though strong, Piccolo knew Frieza might be beyond him.
Avoiding a direct confrontation was the smartest move. The Great Elder might have a better way to protect Namek.
So, the Z Warriors, led by Dende, made their way to the Great Elder, keeping their intentions hidden.
