Kathrine's Atelier had so many brand to it, Kathy was the sole founder of Kathrine's Atelier, she had been able to work with so many brands and has won numerous awards ranging from Rising Star awards to Most Creative Fashion Designer, she was able to do all this when she was barely 18years old.Of course she had supports from her millionaire father but it had also been her dedication and hard work that kept the place going ever since, she is currently 21years old and had kept her business going for three years.
Serena packed her car in the Fashion Studio parking lot and she made her way inside the studio, Kathrine's Atelier is a three-story building it is sleek, with minimal decor, and plenty of natural light that enhance the inside of the studio making it easy to look and assess every corner.
There was large work tables, fashion sketches and fabric swatches in the design area, Serena observed as she made her way to the receptionist table, she could hear Xo by Beyoncè playing faintly when she entered the studio.
That was currently Kathy's favorite song she wondered to herself, she always heard her playing this particular song on repeat whenever she comes for visits.
Serena turned over to the Receptionist "Hi, I have an appointment with Miss Kathy this afternoon."
"What is your name ma'am?" The receptionist asked, she was about to answer when she heard a loud female voice echo around the fashion studio,
"Darling!..What do you think you are doing standing there?"
Serena turned around to the voice, lo and behold it was Kathy, she was making her way towards her before Serena could reply her, Kathy again interrupted her,
"I've told you, you don't have to go through this procedures."
"It's normal etiquette Kathy, I can't just barge into your Studio, what if they called security on me?"
"Come on with the dramatics, you know you can always call me." Kathy said as she winked at Serena playfully.
"Anyways good to see you Renie, I thought I smelled your sweet scent that was why I rushed down here, lo and behold it was really you." Kathy voice had a playful melody that filled the room, as she pushed her way to hug her.
"Really now?" Serena rolled her eyes at her, while smiling.
"Enough with that now, are you ready to check your dress?"
"Is there any luck I can try convincing you against this, I think I can win him over without doing all this." Serena bargained.
"Absolutely no luck Renie, now let us head upstairs, Ethan had been looking forward to seeing you in the dress." Kathy gave her a playful wink.
Serena finally gave up, they made their way to the fitting room, the room was extra large, it has Huge mirrors, comfortable lounge chairs and ample space for try ons.
Kathy made her go into another room as she declared that she will get change in that room, Kathy went back to the fitting room, she sat down in one of the lounge chairs, anticipating Serena's look.
Serena was led to another room, she could not complain as she watched as the same ladies that came for her measurements bring out a dress carrier, she was made to stand in front of a huge mirror as she was dressed by the two ladies, once they were done they made her stand on a platform as they pulled the curtains to reveal Kathy and Ethan sitting on the chair in the fitting room, surprisingly the room she was in was directly connected to the fitting room, when she came into view Kathy and Ethan both stood up from the chair they were sitting on as they gaped at her with their mouth wide open, Serena suddenly felt self-conscious as she fidgeted with the gown.
Kathy was the first to regain her composure, she rushed to Serena's side, her eyes shining with contentment.
"I know you were always beautiful, but looking at you now, the word beautiful is a great understatement you look like a goddess Renie." Kathy gasp, her eyes widening.
"I suddenly want to hide you from this wicked world, I don't think any man deserves you Renie and to think you have not even put on makeup." there was a long pause before she said,
"I was told you were the one who choose the color, you have such great taste, Renie." Kathy continued showering Serena with her praises.
Ethan seemed to have recover from his daze state, he opened and closed his mouth with no words coming out before he finally said,
"O.M.G.!" He stressed each of the word, "Serena you are breathtaking, I think you should just take this dress home with you and wear it for the rest of your life." he was stunned speechless by her look.
Serena was so shy from all the praise she was receiving that she did not know where to keep her hands.
"Now, I want to take you home with me" Ethan said, Kathy slap his shoulder.
"Shut your mouth Ethan and don't make Renie uncomfortable," Kathy told him off before she turned to Serena, "let's get you out of this dress before this man over here strip you naked with his eyes." Kathy said as she turned to the other ladies with a single nod, they quickly rush to Serena side as they took her back to the other room and assisted her in getting changed back to her earlier clothes.
Kathy went over to the room as she ordered the girls on a few finishing touch and amendments on the dress, before she eventually escorted Serena out of her studio.
"You have grown super quite, what is the matter?"
"I'm just wondering if I would be able to impress him on that day."
"I've you seen yourself Renie, he would be a fool if he does not see your beauty, you were stunning Renie you know I don't give out empty complements right?"
Serena hummed as they got to her car, "I want you to come over to my place on Friday, we would go to the event from there."
"Okay" Serena agreed.
"Trust me Renie by the time I'm done with you he will not recognize you again."
Serena kissed her cheeks as she went inside her car, Serena could not really understand the hype, because when she looked at herself in a mirror she only saw the plain girl that she was, she could not get why Kathy thought of her as a great beauty or why she was hellbent on dressing her to the point of obsession.
She did not view herself as a great beauty the way Kathy thought, to her Kathy was the beauty, Kathy was tall, her dark wavy black hair cascade down to her shoulders, complementing her bright expressive brown doe eyes that sparkles with a mix of warmth Confidence.
Her dark wavy hair was a striking contrast to her vibrant personality, adding an air of mystery to her already captivating presence, she had a low dimple on the right corner of her mouth making her shine bright and look approachable when she smiles, Serena was in deep thoughts as she got inside her car to drive home.
As she drove home her mind suddenly wandered back to Mr. Won.
"What is so special about him that I can't get him out of my mind?" She thought or was it because he was the first guy that ever rejected her, Serena could not understand what was really pulling her to him.
