Nil drop the body of the rest of the beast which earn him a raised eyebrow from Sheng, however except for raising an eyebrow he did not do nothing else.

"I never knew the beasts would have become so many." Sheng said after confirming that the beasts are indeed the crazy beasts— demonic beasts he sent Nil after.

Nil asked as he found someplace to sit down.
"Yes." Sheng reply still examining the beasts.
"Well, the demonic energy have reach almost hundred meter around the stone, 93 meter to be specific."
"However don't worry, the demonic energy is not going to spread more than that." Nil assured.
"And how do you know that?" Sheng ask.
"Because the stone is not radiating demonic energy anymore, but I'd suggest that you do not allow any other beast or human to stay too long in the corrupted area, lest they get corrupted too."
"How do you know so much about demonic energy? How did you even know I am researching about demonic energy?."
Sheng ask apparently becoming suspicious of Nil because in the first place him researching crazy beast is something only the inner circle of the Kingdom know.
Nil knew that, which he dismiss as Nil might be a scion of one of the nobles of the kingdom.
However no noble know about demonic energy except for the king of the kingdom and a selected few he trusted enough to share it with.
So now that a kid come to him mysteriously, knowing a secret known only to the inner circle of the kingdom and a secret that only the King himself and a handful of person know, he start getting suspicious.
It can't be helped because the matter of demonic energy will surely include demons and demons are a topic no ordinary person is supposed to know.
And Nil? Well, he have a perfect counter to clear the doubt of Sheng.

Just those five words and Sheng froze on the spot, but it is not those five words that froze him, but rather two out of that words, the word 'Peak Shadow'.

In a sudden blur of speed he appeared at the back of Nil, a knife on his hand placed on Nil neck as he held Nil down in a position where he cannot move or get himself out of the position he is.

"Ah." Feeling the knife drawing a faint trace of blood on his neck, Nil exhale sharply.
And before the exhalation could finish dissolving into the hair Nil is not at the mercy of Sheng again.
In a split second he turned his whole from into a shadow and dissolved into Sheng shadow rising from a nearby shadow.

Yes, it is the skill [Form] that Nil use to turn himself into a shadow and also swam trough the shadow of Sheng and appear outside of another shadow.

Not just a technique that makes one able to travel through shadow but turn their whole self into shadow and become one with it.
He couldn't believe a youngling like Nil could be one of the Peak Shadow.
As the name suggest, the Peak Shadow are the secret arm of Peak Kingdom, they are the ones that carry out any secret mission the Peak Kingdom want to do.
Their mission ranging from protecting the royals behind the shadow, killing other nobles under the Peak Kingdom King order, sabotaging other enemy kingdoms and destroying other kingdoms if needed.
And these Peak Shadow work for only one kingdom.. The kingdom of Peak, the most powerful Kingdom in all of Peak continent, the most influential, the most.
That is what the Peak Kingdom are.
And only a selected few know about them, the vassal kingdom of Peak Kingdom know the Peak Shadow.
However not just anybody of the Peak Kingdom vassal know about them, but their vassal kingdom king and their most trusted person.
And they only know about their existence, not how strong they are, not from what to what their strength range from, not who are part of the Peak Shadow or who are not.
And Aurbloom kingdom is a vassal of Peak Kingdom, coincidentally Sheng is also the most trusted person under the King of Aurbloom, so he know about the existence of the Peak Shadow and how to identify them.
"You should be sure about my identity now, so let's not waste time and go back to business." Nil said, displaying the aloofness of the Peak Shadows.
"Because you just use the signature move of the Peak Shadow does not mean you are part of them, show more prove or I'll attack now and I won't hold back." Sheng said preparing for a fight.
"And why should I comply to your request? What I just show you is all you are supposed to see as prove. Do not overstep your boundary, or you'll regret it."
Nil dismiss his request not even entertaining it one bit adding a splice of threat to it.
"Can you tell me the reason why you are here then?" Sheng asked finally dismissing his weapon.
"I came here under an order. My wise king have already foreseen that you'll face a threat of demons, that is why he sent me here."
Nil said his lips curling into a smirk not forgetting to praise the king of Peak Kingdom, that us what all Peak Shadow do.
However Nil is not smirking because he is praising a foolish king, but rather because of the system notification he just received.
