Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: Tomato Noodles

In the kitchen, Taylor looked at the ingredients on hand and thought for a while.

He had originally planned to do something else that day, but considering that the three little girls, Ruska, Lazuli, and Aurelle, came to eat for free, he naturally had to change to a lighter breakfast.

The egg roll had been taken out, and now the three little girls were feeding it to Bonk and Kuro. Abra also ate two pieces and left three makeshift plush flowers.

Only Puffin ignored the three little girls and kept hiding in the warehouse, guarding it.

"Let's make some noodles," Taylor quickly thought of what to cook that day. He planned to make some noodles with tomato sauce and add some white eggs. It would taste good and be nutritious.

After deciding what to make for breakfast, Taylor quickly started to prepare it. The three little girls didn't eat much, but Puffin and Taylor himself had the biggest appetites.

Abra ate normally, Bonk never ate too much. Kuro had a poor appetite and got full after just a few bites.

So the amount that Taylor prepared was still relatively moderate, but considering the several volunteers who were about to come to work, Taylor still made a little more.

Anyway, a white egg was very big, so the amount was enough.

After it was finished, Taylor brought it out and divided it among the little ones and the three little girls. After that, he put the two bowls on the table, and in an instant, the two bowls were gone.

Taylor wiped his hands. It was quite convenient to have Caseyu around. At least he didn't need to make a special trip to serve food to Puffin.

As for the reason why Puffin disliked the three little girls, Taylor didn't know, but he guessed that it might have something to do with Puffin's previous trainer.

"Uncle Taylor, what kind of noodles are these today? They're so delicious!" Aurelle was the most lively and mischievous, and her mouth was full of red ketchup.

"Noodles with tomato sauce," Taylor smiled and put away the bowl and chopsticks. He had finished eating.

The three little girls were making a fuss again. Taylor didn't know whether to laugh or cry, but he still chatted with them and listened to them talk about some of their wonderful discoveries.

For example, the Charizard raised by the neighbor next door had grown old recently and came out less and less to play with them.

For example, mom and dad often called them recently, and even secretly talked to them behind their backs at night. The adults were really mysterious.

Or maybe Noir hadn't played with them during this period, and they were bored.

After the three little girls went home, the volunteers also arrived, and Taylor saw Lucy among them.

Lucy didn't look too well, and there were some slight dark circles under her eyes. It was obvious that she hadn't gotten a good rest the previous night.

But her eyes were much more resolute.

"Thank you all for your hard work today," Taylor spoke politely. After all, the volunteers were there to work on a voluntary basis, and it saved Taylor a lot of effort.

"There is breakfast in the cafeteria, tomato noodles. If you haven't eaten yet, go have breakfast first," Taylor added, and several volunteers hurried to the cafeteria.

They had been working for Taylor for a day or two, and they were very familiar with Taylor's cooking skills. In their opinion, the breakfast made by Taylor was unlikely to be bad.

Lucy stayed until the end, and when she saw Taylor, she hurried over. Taylor looked at the girl in front of him. She was not as tall as Taylor, but at that moment, there was a hint of anxiety in the girl's eyes.

"Dean, what about that Dratini?" Lucy asked anxiously.

"Its fin had to be removed, but her life is not in danger. She is still receiving treatment," Taylor looked at Lucy and spoke gently.

Lucy's body trembled.

She had gone to see the Dratini the previous day, but the Dratini was still undergoing surgery, so she hadn't seen her.

She wanted to go in the morning, but she also had to come to the Pokémon orphanage as a volunteer, so she came to Taylor nervously to ask for the answer she wanted. Now that she knew the answer, it made her even more uncomfortable.

"It's good enough to be able to save her life. As for her fin, it may grow back after evolution..." Taylor comforted Lucy, but when it came to it, Taylor also felt a little difficult.

In the world of Pokémon, losing some body parts was not a very scary thing, but it depended on the situation.

Evolution, the miracle of life in the Pokémon world, had magical power.

It could heal some injuries, regenerate broken parts, and repair some scars.

But evolution was not omnipotent.

Some injuries could not be repaired by evolution. For example, the injuries on the Teddiursa in the infirmary could not be healed by evolution. Even if it evolved into an Ursaring, those horrible scars would accompany it for the rest of its life.

As for the Dratini's situation, it was hard to say.

Dragon-type Pokémon had always been known for their difficulty in evolving in their childhood and their rapid increase in combat power in adulthood. They still had very strong vitality and could regenerate less important parts after being broken under normal circumstances.

But what Taylor feared was that those people might resort to other means. When Taylor was watching a legal program, he noticed that some people would grind the Everstone into powder and then inject it into the Pokémon's body. In this case, it would be difficult for the Pokémon to evolve, and it would also cause some organ failure.

There were also some chemical substances applied, which made it difficult for injured parts to heal, and even evolution might not be able to regenerate damaged ones.

Although the Alliance had also conducted special research and treatment for these situations, the problem was that those treatment methods took time. The earlier the treatment was carried out, the better the effect, and the later the treatment was carried out, the worse the effect.

Although the Dratini's injuries had been controlled, Taylor still didn't know the specific situation.

"Of course you can!" Lucy interrupted before Taylor finished speaking. Looking at Lucy's expression, Taylor nodded silently.

It was a good thing to have hope. After all, it would not make others so desperate.

However, when Taylor thought about the other party's provocation against the Alliance, he felt that the result might not be very good.

It would take another day or two to know the result, and Taylor could only hope that the poor Dratini would have better luck.

If she was really injected with some poisonous potion, then no one would adopt this Dratini.

Disabled Pokémon have always been difficult to adopt in welfare homes.

After all, disability meant that more energy and time were needed to take care of them.

It was also very difficult to release her into the sea. The disability would make it more difficult for Dratini to survive, so the biggest possibility for Dratini was to stay in Taylor's Pokémon orphanage, or...

Taylor shook his head. It was really difficult to expect Dr. Pokémon to develop a potion to regenerate severed body parts. This problem was not so easy to solve.
