Chapter 21 - Chapter 021: Maybe Someday But Surely Not Yet Today

*Crash*

*Crash*

Richard threw everything he could hold.

Things unfolded in the most unexpected way that he was not prepared for, nor was he able to even have the chance to prepare.

"Wh- What should we do, brother?" Samantha asked.

Everyone was still present, but all of their minds were in chaos over what had just happened.

"What will we do?!?!!? ARE YOU SERIOUSLY ASKING ME THAT?!?!"

Samantha jumped at Richard's shout. Even Thomas remained silent because all power is currently being held by Richard.

"WE CAN ONLY CATER TO WHAT THAT WOMAN WANTS UNTIL WE HAVE A SOLID PLAN!!! THAT'S WHAT WE CAN DO!!!"

"Then Harold and the rest," Gary sighed.

"What else? They are fired!" Richard answered.

"But master..." Harold couldn't help but voice out.

"It is your fault for acting in such a way. Who told you to treat her that way? Two years and you have forgotten how difficult she is?"

He spoke the same words Lilith had used against him a few days ago.

"That woman is the problem child. Her siblings are nothing compared to how difficult she could be."

He was breathing heavily.

"Why did she not return when her parents died? Everything was prepared back then. Why must she only come back now?"

*Crash*

He threw another glass in agitation.

"And what happened with keeping an eye on Riven? Didn't I say it has to be 24/7? How did he prepare the will?"

He said angrily to Gary, whom he had tasked to keep an eye on Riven.

"I was doing it, Dad. I had people follow him 24/7," Gary replied, because it was the truth.

Riven's every action was being watched and reported to him.

"Then how did that will come to Patrick Sinclair's hands?!?!?!"

Gary could not reply because he honestly didn't know.

*Crash*

"DAMN IT!!!"

...

When I opened my eyes again, I found that we were already close to the Sinclair Empire building.

"You can drop me off here," I said when I saw the mall.

Michael did not say anything and simply parked on the side.

"Here you go."

I nudged Kieran, who still had his eyes closed.

When he opened them, he looked like he was ready to kill me for disturbing him.

I openly rolled my eyes.

"You need a key to get inside the house."

"..."

"And, no. I only invited you so Michael can only send you there and go home on his own."

"..."

"So the key should be handed to you."

"..."

"Again. I don't want to hand it to Michael. Personal preference."

Despite glaring at me, he still took the key I was handing him before once again closing his eyes.

I did not say anything more and simply got down.

Since he chose to sleep with me, I need to buy some things that he prefers.

Such as black bed sheets, blankets, curtains, and other things.

Not that I care whether the color of my room will change. That place is just for sleeping, nothing more. Or maybe there is one thing more that could be done there. Not that it can only be done in the bedroom.

It could even be done in the kitchen if people are adventurous.

Anyway, it's been a while since I last visited a shopping mall. Even abroad, I rarely do so because I always order things online.

I'm not that fond of public places, especially when they get crowded. My energy depletes faster.

I looked around the department store and home goods store before having my lunch.

Then I continued looking around, buying everything I needed before hailing a cab to the nearest dry-clean shop.

Obviously, I wouldn't use these things new. At the same time, he just might put a bullet in my head if I do use them as is.

After sending them, I provided my address so that they could be returned within two hours.

I don't have servants. I also did not call for any, so I can only do this.

I should probably ask him if he knew three to four loyal servants who could do the cleaning once a week.

I can clean, but the place is too big for me to do everything alone.

Plus, where in the world would one find a chairwoman of a big corporation doing every single household chore? Wouldn't that make me too much of a busy bee?

I have more important things to do.

But if he has none, then I can only do it.

I can be that busy bee chairwoman.

As obvious as it gets, my relatives will make use of servants to keep an eye on me. I am not stupid enough to give them a way in to make things difficult for me.

I am not that bored as to welcome more things to do. With just two hands and feet, why should I make things difficult for myself?

I once again hailed a cab, this time to go back because I needed to clean up. It seems this is contradicting my earlier thoughts.

Anyway, I have some dishes left from this morning to wash. I also need to prepare the wardrobe for his things.

Aren't I a wonderful wife?

After amusing myself during the ride home, I finally got back.

Changed my clothes and pulled up my sleeves to start the work of a wife for her husband, who will be living with her starting today.

Once done with all the cleaning, it is time to cook.

That's right, I should be a considerate wife and ask him, right?

Lily:Would you be eating here from here on out? Breakfast? Dinner? And do you have any allergies? You should tell me if you do, even if the world does not know. I do not have the desire to feed you, my partner in crime, with something detrimental to you.

Pressed send, and soon it was read.

Then I had another thought.

Lily:Maybe someday, but surely not yet today or the near future.
