Time flew by.
In the blink of an eye, two whole days had passed.
It might sound short, but for Harry and Gine, it felt endless. Neither of them had slept well in days.
Celari, on the other hand, was perfectly fine—bright-eyed, full of energy, and totally unaffected.
Well, of course she was. She didn't know what was really going on. She had nothing weighing on her mind.
Early in the morning, before the sun had fully risen, the three of them—Harry, Gine, and Celari—gathered their things and set off. Under Bardock's watchful eye and farewell, they boarded the space pod.
Because of the early hour, almost no one noticed them leave.
"Remember—unless I contact you first, don't respond to anyone trying to reach you!"
That was Bardock's final warning. Even if they managed to leave Planet Vegeta, it didn't mean they were safe yet.
Harry didn't tell Bardock what he was really planning. There was no point. He'd already made up his mind. Any hesitation could ruin everything. The first priority was getting Gine and Celari safely away from danger—everything else could come later.
The space pod broke through the atmosphere, piercing into the vast blackness of space. For Harry, this was the beginning of something greater—his own era.
No more threats hanging over his head. No more need to hide his power or pretend to be less than he was.
Simply put—he was finally free.
From now on, he could go wherever he wanted, do whatever he pleased. And most importantly, beyond Planet Vegeta, there were countless ways—at least ten different paths—he could use to become stronger.
Of course, he wasn't about to share that part with Gine or Celari yet.
For now, Frieza hadn't destroyed Planet Vegeta. When that day came—that's when the real truth would come out.
Harry leaned back in the pilot's chair and stretched, the tension finally easing from his body. He hadn't realized how tightly wound he'd been before leaving, afraid that something might go wrong at the last second.
But they'd made it. For now, they were safe.
Not completely safe, though. Not yet.
Through the viewport, Planet Vegeta slowly shrank into the distance, its fiery-red surface glowing against the cold backdrop of space.
Seeing it with his own eyes—it was nothing like watching the anime back in his old life. Not even the most realistic sci-fi movies could compare to the real thing.
"I think it's been… seven, maybe eight years since I last left Planet Vegeta," Gine said softly, her gaze fixed on the shrinking world. "And it's still just as… beautiful."
Her voice wavered on the last word. She tried to hide it, but Harry caught the tremor.
Maybe it was because she'd been grounded for so long, used to a peaceful, quiet life. Now, suddenly adrift in the endless void of space again, that sense of solid ground beneath her feet was gone.
But that wasn't the only reason.
Deep down, Gine felt something strange—an ache in her chest, a whisper of dread she couldn't explain.
It felt like the farewell she'd just shared with Bardock… might be their last.
"Hey, Aunt Gine, you can think of this mission as a little vacation," Harry said, flashing a small grin to lighten the mood. "You've worked hard for years. You deserve a break."
Since he'd come to this world, he'd seen how tirelessly Gine worked. Her logistics role might look simple, but it was constant, draining work—on top of taking care of everyone else.
In short, she never really got a day off.
Sure, Saiyans could handle it—but even for a warrior race, that kind of grind takes a toll.
Gine smiled faintly. "Then I guess I should thank you for the opportunity, little Harry. Let's hope Planet Oyune is as beautiful as the reports say."
"The more beautiful a planet is," Harry replied with a half-smile, "the more likely it is to get invaded."
Planet Oyune—massive, more than twice the size of Planet Vegeta, though with roughly the same gravity.
The natives hadn't developed technology, but they were incredibly strong. Living under constant survival pressure, they'd evolved into towering, battle-hardened warriors.
In simple terms, without machines or weapons to rely on, they depended purely on their bodies. And in a world like that, strength meant survival. Most Oyunians had power levels ranging between 100 and 300—impressive for a pre-industrial species.
And that wasn't all. The planet teemed with gigantic creatures—massive beasts unlike anything found on Earth.
When Harry first read the data, he couldn't help comparing it to prehistoric Earth from his past life—an age of giant creatures, even more ancient than the time of dinosaurs.
Of course, in this universe, dinosaurs were practically everywhere. Even Planet Vegeta had them. The Saiyans just called them "terror-beasts"… and treated them as food.
"Brother Harry, how long will it take to reach Planet Oyune?" Celari asked suddenly.
She'd been staring at Planet Vegeta until it vanished into the distance, just another twinkling dot among countless stars.
Space travel was exciting at first—but after a while, the endless black grew monotonous.
"At this ship's cruising speed," Harry said, checking the console, "about two months."
He returned to the pilot's seat, scanning the holographic display as lines of data shimmered before him.
Oyune wasn't that far from Planet Vegeta—at least not by Saiyan standards. Still, it was farther than the mission Raditz and the others had been assigned, on Planet Ramp.
By the time they reached Oyune, Raditz and the rest would probably have completed their mission.
If things followed the original timeline, that would mean the fall of Planet Vegeta was drawing near—Frieza's betrayal, and the official story blaming a "meteor impact."
I just don't know if the story will still play out the same way this time, Harry thought. The timelines are already overlapping… but whatever. Why overthink it?
I'm free now. That's all that matters. Once the hyperspeed mode kicks in, I'll destroy those tracking modules and wipe the ship's system clean—no connections, no surveillance, no more chains.
