Chapter 6 - DIMENSION

In a streak of silver light, the three of them materialized in a forest of lush green trees that stretched far beyond what they could perceive.

'Even trees are far taller than normal,' Lucien mused.

Behind him, both Liam and Tiara were surprised. How did their Lord suddenly transport them from the territory to a place they had no idea of?

"Liam, Tiara, be on alert," Lucien commanded, jolting them from their useless thoughts. He was merely a normal human with no combat capabilities.

The only reason he was bold enough to even enter the dimension was that death was not permanent.

Calmly, they walked forward, their bodies brushing against the bush.

"Wait," Lucien suddenly whispered. "What is that there?" He asked with furrowed brows, pointing at an odd, blue plant. Liam quickly plucked the plant from the floor and presented it to Lucien with a bow.

The plant had blue, crystal-like leaves that glowed as the sun rays beat them. Compared to its flower, the roots were normal.

"System, analyze this plant," he muttered beneath his breath.

[Tier 1 plant: Energized flower]

[Description: A plant that grows where there is a large concentration of energy. One can't grow alone; there needs to be at least 900 more before it can grow. Consuming will boost energy absorption rate for tier 1 and below by 200% for 30 minutes.]

Lucien smirked as he read the description. "Something so good from the beginning," he muttered.

"Search that place well, there might be more of this," Lucien said, turning back to the two soldiers behind him.

They received his order with a bow. With their weapons still held in their hands, Liam and Tiara began a frantic search for whatever they could find in the area.

After searching for over an hour with nothing in sight, they finally stopped. "That's weird, there should be at least 800 more flowers here," Lucien muttered, his gaze narrowing.

After a few minutes of thinking, Lucien got himself together again. There was no need to dwell too much on things that were beyond his current grasp.

Then came the headache. He did not know who to give the flower to. Normally, he would have given it to Liam, but with Tiara's earlier display, it was obvious how jealous she could get.

'What am I even thinking about? I should just use it for myself, not like I can always depend on them for safety,' he glanced back, looking at Liam and Tiara standing alert behind him, their weapons gripped firmly in their hands. 'I will just use it, and give them other things on the way.' With that silent conclusion, Lucien spoke.

"Both of you, stand guard, I want to use this flower," Lucien said, his tone calm.

They bowed in response.

Lucien nodded. Without hesitation, he sat on the bare floor, his legs crossed over each other. He threw the leaf into his mouth and chewed it. Instead of the expected bitterness, the leaf's juice gave Lucien a taste that bordered on perfection.

A warm current passed through his stomach, then flowed into his chest. Lucien did not have any prior knowledge of cultivation, but instinctively, he began drawing energy from the atmosphere.

The energy began to coalesce in his chest, swirling and twisting as it struggled to find space in his body. Beads of sweat dropped from Lucien, and his face twisted into one of pain.

The energy began to get hotter and bigger, making Lucien's chest swell slightly.

[Danger!]

Lucien heard the blaring of the system in his mind.

[The Lord has no knowledge of core formation, and does not have any class. The Lord is about to be devoured by the energy.]

His eyes shrank as the message was delivered. He did not consider the risk of absorbing energy without a class or knowing about cores.

His mind spun rapidly, thinking of what he could do, then it clicked. 'The mage certificate in my coat.' His hand moved, grabbing the certificate through his pain. With the strength left in his hands, he tore it in two perfect halves.

[Lord has used a class change certificate and has successfully changed class into a mage]

[You have gained the following skills: basic energy control and energy projection]

As the system finished delivering the message, the energy began to chill and reduce. It spread evenly across his body. The energy dispersed into the environment asLucien opened his eyes.

In the blink of an eye, 30 minutes had passed, and its results were nothing short of incredible.

[The Lord has broken through to the first stage of tier 1.]

[As a reward for being the first human to enter the path of cultivation, Lord Lucien has been given a gift pack by the primordial will.]

Lucien smiled before his mind drifted to the name the system mentioned. 'The primordial will, was he the one who summoned us?' he mused.

"Congratulations, Lord Lucien," Liam and Tiara's voices interrupted his thoughts.

'Thank you,' he said with a smile. "You guys will soon join me," he added.

Both of them nodded with a smile.

"Let's move on," Lucien ordered, his steps faster than before now.

He had previously needed them to guard him, but now that he was stronger than they were, there was no need to hide.

With hurried steps, they began moving. But this time, they knew the opportunities hiding in the dimension, and they kept their eyes peeled for the slightest trace of something out of place or strange.

The sun shone over them, covering them in its golden hue. Unconsciously, they all looked up, their eyes furrowed as they looked at the sun.

Since they entered the dimension, they have been unable to see the sun, thanks to the huge canopy of the trees.

But now, for the first time since they arrived, they saw the sun again.

They looked down again, taking in the sight of the sand-filled area before them. 'The geography is messed up, how will a desert show up just after a forest?' he wondered.
