Adam was in a state of terror looking at the filthy mass of flesh and blood he suddenly noticed in front of him. The sight was so grotesque, so wrong, that he couldn't believe what he saw was real. The flesh still looked fresh, without even the faintest hint of decomposition. This could only mean one thing- the death of some of the citizen if not most died not too long ago.
Right – Adam thought this as he slowly placated his mind, to calm himself f from the dread had felt from seeing such a sight.
In the next second, the filthy blob of flesh and blood moved in a disorganized manner scattered as the blob of flesh moved towards his direction. It darted forward at an incredible speed that something so formless should not possess.
Adam didn't think. He immediately began to run in the direction of the thorny walls, towards the exit of the village the same way had arrived at this ruined place. The sound of the large mass following close behind, a wet and rapid slap against the desert floor, made every hair on his body stand on end.
The blob of flesh followed closely behind at an incredible speed. Adam kept looking back at it, fear and terror evident in his face with the only instinct to run far away from the grasp of the strange monster.
But as he ran from the fleshy monster Adam felt something quite odd.
He suddenly stopped.
He stood out in the open. Breathing heavy. Slowly -very slowly- He looked behind him, only to see that the strange pile of flesh was still in the same spot he had seen it.
it hadn't moved at all.
Adam let out a long sigh of relief, he wasn't in any form of danger that he could see.
His eyes drifted back to the village ruins. what on earth happened here? Is that what happened to the bodies of the denizens of this village? That's … quite grotesque.
He shook his head.
What am I saying how is this even possible, that can't be normal not even in the slightest. What kind of world am I in?
Even without much memories of his past, could vaguely sense the bizarreness of it all. In truth the condensed mass of flesh and blood were the citizens that could not escape from a ritual involving that melting giant he saw earlier.
After some time, Adam stopped looking at the cluster of flesh and blood, that slowly began to wiggle and flayed in the shadows of a covered building. it seemed to moved slightly towards Adam's direction but the intense sunlight that illuminated the area burned the exposed flesh.
It appears to wriggle in anguish anytime it appeared under the sun.
Adam noticed this and immediately turned his head to gaze at the sun, he saw that the sun kept flickering in a pretty normal matter in his opinion, when he had woken up, he saw that the sun kept dimming after a few minutes.
That makes sense…'' he murmured.
''The sun rays take 8minutes to reach Earth.''
How did he even notice that it took 8 minutes for sunlight to reach earth, judging from what he had just seen, the sun seemed to dim and brighten at random moments.
Maybe it doesn't like the heat. As he cast another glance at the creature hiding from the light.
Feeling at lease somewhat at ease – at least enough to know it wouldn't leap at him- Adam slowly walked around the village ruins again with the bizarre and filthy mass still lingering behind him.
I have to quickly leave this place and find people," Adam muttered. "Most of the things I've seen today are …purely horrifying.
As he said that, he paused, and calmed his mind from the intense stress he had experienced today.
The hot wind howled across the ruins, carrying dust and the faint echo of lives that had once been here.
Adam left the creepy village of cordu.
As soon as he took a few steps outside the village , he noticed foot-marks on the desert floor they appeared fresh .
already knowing who owned those footprints he continued walking forward with his back facing the thorny wall and the ruined village .
as he walked a few more steps the black robed Adam paused just barely within his periphery he saw strange figures at his side he turned towards the direction and saw a group of people sleeping next to this dreadful village.
