Lavesh feels a little lighter. He starts running and slips deeper into the forest. The farther he goes, the darker and quieter everything becomes. After almost thirty minutes of running, he spots a monster. When he gets a little closer, a system notification window pops up above its head, a red flag glowing above it.

Jarma looks like a thick, heavy beast standing on four stout legs. Its body is wrapped in rough, dark scales that look like cracked stone. Two short but sharp tusks rise from its lower jaw like broken horns aiming at the sky. Its eyes glow a muted orange, giving it that hungry, irritated look. Each breath sends warm steam puffing from its nostrils like a bull ready to charge.
Just looking at the monster feels dangerous. The moment it senses the main character, it starts moving toward him. Lavesh quickly points his sword at it. The monster roars and charges, then uses its Ground Breaker skill. The earth shivers under Lavesh's feet. Soil splits open. The ground trembles in a ten-meter circle, knocking his balance off. The monster closes the distance, but Lavesh's agility is higher. He dodges the strike and slashes at the creature's right leg.

He keeps attacking, taking advantage of his boosted agility, but the hits barely count. The monster's skin is too thick, and all he manages are shallow cuts. The creature grows irritated. It barrels at him recklessly, and this time one attack lands. Lavesh misjudges the dodge by a moment, and the monster's claw slams into him. His body flies back and crashes into a tree.

One of his ribs cracks from the impact. The monster rushes again, planning to pin him against the tree with its head. Lavesh doesn't move. He just lets it come. When the beast is only a meter away, he throws every bit of strength into his legs and pushes upward. He leaps into the air and drives his sword straight into the monster's head, right between its eyes.
Both of them fall to the ground. Blood slips from Lavesh's mouth. He looks like he could die right there. He thinks that at least he managed to kill one monster before going out.
