[Mitsuki]: "Sarada, you really think I'd ever hurt Boruto-kun?"
[Sarada]: "...You're not helping your case."
[Himawari]: "Uncle Obito looked so kind… like the type who'd buy me taiyaki."
[Naruto (Adult)]: "Yeah… if not for Obito, I might've died before I ever became Hokage."
[Kakashi]: "Wait, what do you mean by that exactly?!"
[Sasuke (Adult)]: "Tch… Just keep watching, you'll understand, useless Kakashi."
[Hashirama]: "Hold up… don't tell me Obito's actually still alive?"
[Tobirama]: "Hmph, called it. I knew there was something off about that brat."
The Return of the Lightning
From the rubble came a deafening BOOM—
a surge of chakra and dust that made the earth tremble.
The Iwa jōnin Hikarui, still wiping his mouth after a sip of water, froze mid-swallow.
Smoke filled the air.
And through it—he saw a boy standing tall on the rocks above.
Silver hair, bloodied face…
A single eye gleaming crimson.
"You're still alive…?" Hikarui's voice trembled.
Kakashi's left eye bled tears—not of grief, but fury.
"Crying, huh? Tch. You're still just a kid.
Real shinobi don't cry on the battlefield."
Hikarui smirked coldly.
"Come on, brat—let's end your little tantrum."
The wind howled through the trees.
Birds scattered into the twilight sky.
And then—the music hit.
A low hum at first, then a swelling chorus as Kakashi's headband lifted in the breeze, revealing—
The scarlet, double-tomoe Sharingan.
Gasps rippled through the viewers.
Even the most stoic shinobi clenched their fists.
[Naruto]: "Kakashi-sensei… go win this for Obito!"
[Sasuke]: "If I were there, this would've ended in two seconds."
[Itachi]: "My foolish little brother, can you stop acting cool for one minute?"
[Shisui]: "Yeah, learn some humility from Obito—he awakened his eyes without bragging."
[Obito]: "Cough... you guys talk too much."
The Clash
Down below, Rin and the half-buried Obito looked on.
"...Kakashi," Obito whispered weakly, "don't lose.
From now on… Rin's your responsibility."
Kakashi's grip tightened on his broken blade.
He nodded once—no hesitation.
He had someone to protect now.
The air crackled.
He vanished.
SWOOSH—
Hikarui's eyes darted everywhere. "Where did he—"
A streak of white lightning flashed before him.
Kakashi came down from above like a thunderbolt.
Steel met steel. Sparks burst in every direction.
The short blade in Kakashi's hand shattered on impact, scattering glowing shards.
Time slowed.
For an instant, Hikarui's face twisted into a grin—
"Your toy broke, boy."
But Kakashi's fingers blurred into hand seals.
Chakra hissed—
light bloomed from his palm.
CHIDORI! (Lightning Cutter!)
A sound like a thousand birds screaming filled the cave.
Lightning engulfed Kakashi's hand, burning bright enough to turn night to day.
The Sharingan spun wildly—
reading every twitch, every motion.
Hikarui swung down.
Kakashi ducked, the blade grazing a few silver hairs from his head.
Then—he thrust upward.
The Lightning Cutter pierced straight through Hikarui's chest.
The cave blazed white.
The enemy's eyes went wide—then empty.
His body hit the ground with a dull thud.
For a second, the world held its breath.
Then, the chat exploded:
[Boruto]: "He did it!! Sharingan Kakashi is born!!"
[Sarada]: "That was… awesome."
[Tobirama]: "Hmph. That's why I always said Hatake bloodlines shouldn't be underestimated."
[Hashirama]: "BROTHER, YOU SAY THAT ABOUT EVERYONE!"
[Itachi]: "So this is the birth of the Copy Ninja…"
The Farewell
Kakashi landed hard, chest heaving.
Obito smiled faintly through the cracks of the collapsing cave.
"...You did it. Good job, Captain."
"Don't talk," Kakashi said quietly. "We're getting you out—"
"No." Obito shook his head. "Take Rin… and go. The enemy's reinforcements are coming."
"Obito—"
"GO!"
Rin's hands trembled as she grabbed Kakashi's arm.
She didn't want to leave.
Tears streamed down her face, mixing with blood and dust.
"Thank you… for everything," she whispered.
Obito's final smile was faint, boyish—
and heartbreakingly calm.
The ceiling gave way.
Stone crashed down.
And then, there was silence.
[Mei Terumī]: "I'm crying again…"
[Rasa]: "Same here… these damn allergies."
[Itachi]: "A hero's farewell."
[Shisui]: "Sasuke, remember this feeling. This is what it means to be a ninja."
[Sasuke]: "...Yeah."
The Birth of a Legend
Through the last sliver of light between the rocks, Obito saw his two teammates escaping into the sun.
He smiled faintly.
"Heh… finally got along with Kakashi…
Guess I'll never get to tell Rin how I feel."
His eyes closed. The world faded.
The rubble swallowed him whole.
Kakashi and Rin ran until their lungs burned, explosions echoing behind them.
Iwa-nin swarmed in from every side.
Kakashi stumbled to one knee, exhaustion clawing at his chest.
But he remembered the promise.
Obito's last words burned in his ears.
He raised his headband slightly—Sharingan flashing red.
Lightning built in his hand once more.
"Come on, then… I'll show you the name of Sharingan Kakashi! "
The sound of a thousand birds tore through the forest.
[Obito]: "You never fulfilled our promise, Kakashi…"
[Kakashi]: "I know… and I'll regret it for the rest of my life."
[Obito]: "Then regret it forever, useless Kakashi!"
[Rin]: "Obito…"
