Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 : little moment wonder , little moment happiness

After the meal, San walked Likan to the bus stop, then left with his friends. On the way, Dan was joking with Lay and Phat. San, who was holding his ball, suddenly asked, "Dan, why were you absent yesterday?"

Dan, Lay, and Phat were confused. "Why are you asking that? Dan already told you." Dan insisted, "I remember I telling you alright." Lay and Phat put their arms around Dan's neck and confirmed, "Yeah, he did!" San didn't ask further.

They went to Lay's house to pretend to study. Among the four, San was the worst student. So, they made a bet: If San scored above 70 on the upcoming exam, they would treat him to a meal!

San thought for a moment. "No. I want you guys to dance on stage for the school festival."

Phat groaned, "Oh, come on! I don't know how to dance!"

Dan, the smart one in the group, teased, "Phat, don't lose hope too quickly. It's not like San will score above 50 anyway." San playfully grabbed Dan's neck.

Lay suddenly chimed in, "Wait, if we dance, maybe it's a chance for the junior students to notice us! Who knows, maybe the girls who secretly like us will finally confess!" He declared, "Let's study hard starting now!" Dan, San, and Phat shook their heads at Lay's overconfidence. Dan said, "Alright, let's study now. The exam is near!" We see San studying, but constantly looking at Dan, thinking about something unknown.

Likan decided to walk home instead of taking the bus. As she walked, she saw Hana post a picture of feeding stray cats.(her new account use sometimes to know what's Hana post) then Likan logged into her old, Facebook account. Her old account had no friends Facebook with Hana that's old account is she use presently but her new account is use rarely that'shave friend with Hana but she Chang her name maby don't want other or Hana know that's still have friends Facebook with hana.

The suddenly Hana called her. Likan hesitated before answering, feeling awkward and not understanding why she felt that way. Hana said she had something she needed to talk about!

Before meeting Hana, Likan stopped to buy an ice cream and talked to Aunt ja on the phone. Aunt ja said she was coming over that evening and asked what Likan wanted to eat. Likan didn't want her to come, but Aunt ja said, "Don't you dare think you don't want me to come!" Aunt ja teased, "Do you have a boyfriend? Is that why you don't want me to visit?" Likan stammered, "Aunt, what are you saying? You can come! That's enough, thank you, Aunt!"

While Likan stood on the street, someone nudged her. She turned, and it was Liv? She blurted out, "Are you buying ice cream?" She wondered why she asked that, perhaps because he was quiet like her and was constantly bossed around by Mala. Liv replied, "My house is here!" Likan said, "Oh, your house. I understand! I'm leaving now!" She walked away, mumbling, "Why did I ask such a silly question?"

Hana was sitting down, talking to Siv Siv on the phone. Hana told Siv Siv that she was meeting Likan and wanted Siv Siv to join them. Siv Siv said she would come when she was done with her work.

We see Siv Siv busy gardening and watering the plants. Her house was surrounded by nature and vegetables. After finishing, she got ready to go out. Her mother called out, "Don't wander off, dear! Come back soon!" Siv Siv replied, "Yes, Mom," and left. On the way, she called someone and told them she couldn't meet them because she was busy with Hana. She smiled and continued on her way.

Siv Siv arrived just as Hana and Likan were finishing their discussion. Likan, after eating a lot, said, "Next time I'll pay. I'll leave first." Siv Siv watched her go and asked, "Is that really her personality?" Hana smiled. "No, she's not like that." The two of them then ate and walked around together.

Hana commented, "Siv Siv,you look so beautiful today." Siv Siv smiled. "Beautiful? I just finished working. It was good that you called me; I rushed right over!" Hana, playing an arcade ball game, said, "I broke up with my boyfriend!" Siv Siv was surprised. "You broke up just like that? Why?" Hana replied, "I lost feelings, and I was bored." Siv Siv asked, "Are you serious?" Hana answered with an "Uhm!" and said, "I won! I got a high score!"

Siv Siv asked, "How does your boyfriend feel about it?" Hana hugged Siv Siv."Siv ,I want to know… do I truly know what love is?" Siv Siv laughed and said, "If you're serious, I think you decided too quickly. What if he loved you deeply? Wouldn't you be hurting his feelings?" Hana laughed. "Siv Siv, you're too kind! You don't know how badly he treated me, yet you pity him?" Siv Siv look so became serious. "What bad things did he do? Tell me, I'll go meet him, and I'll teach him a lesson!" Hana smiled excitedly. "Let's go!"looks like she really want to go .

Siv Siv followed. As she walked and drank water, her mother called. She answered and her mom said don't forget to bring soup home. "Yes, Mom." Hana said, "Your mom called. No need to go back yet. Surly, I wanted to take you on the Ferris wheel!" Sing Sing realized, "Oh, so you wanted to take me on the Ferris wheel!" Hana confessed, "Actually, I was jealous of him and the girl from the private school who studied with him! I was jealous too many times, so I just broke up with him!" Siv Siv look so clearly know and said, "Alright, I have to go now, Hana!" Hana nodded, watching Siv Siv walk away with a smile.

Suddenly, someone whispered behind her, "What are you doing?" She jumped and breathed a sigh of relief when she saw it was mutu!

Hana asked, "Class President, aren't you going to check on the absent student? Don't you care about your classmates?"

Mutu replied, "That's a good point. Come help me a bit."

Hana don't want him tell the class about her breakup. She warned him but still went with him! On the way, mutu asked why you looks so don't want me to telling anyone about your breakup?. She glared and sighed. "It's none of the Class President's business!"then she smiles.

Mutu then asked, "Were afew days ago those two people, Siv Siv and Likan, waiting for you at the public library?" Hana turned to him, thinking, and then just said, "Uhm," looks like agreeing with him.

Mootu continued, "But those two, Siv siv and Kan, don't seem to get along I see them sit away from each other, looks like don't see each other but When I met Siv siv, she was talking to me, and I saw Kan hiding. And you asked those two to meet you? You asked them to wait while you went to supplementary class? You're a really good friend!"

Hana looked at him. "When will we get there?" mutu said, "Didn't you hear me talking all day?" She retorted, "I heard, I heard!" mutu said, "Three or four houses past the next one." Hana thought : think he came he didn't tell his address yet.

Soon, they reached the corner. A large motorbike, ridden by someone wearing a black helmet, black hoodie, and black long pants, zoomed around the corner. Hana was about to cross the street to look at the cat near the wall but was pulled back quickly! Mutu grabbed her bag. She was shocked at how fast it happened. Mutu lost his balance and let go of her bag, causing her to fall face down.

Hana was looking at the motorbike. 'It was a corner, and they were still riding so fast!'suddenly she thinking something, then Mutu said, "You weren't looking where you were going!" She looked at him and asked, "Class President, are we there yet?" "Oh, we're here." She pressed the doorbell three or four times, but no one came out. Hana said, "Maybe the door isn't locked?" mutu said, "Well, if no one is home, let's go back."

But Hana went inside anyway. She looked around. "This house looks like a rich person's house, but it seems abandoned." Mutu pointed, "How can it be abandoned? Look at the motorbike tire tracks! And it's a big bike!" Hana asked, "Class President, did you confirm the teacher's location?" Mootu hesitated and said, "Of course." Hana knew he hadn't confirmed it. She left, saying, "What a waste of time!"and then smile to him. Mutu asked, "Hana, is that your real personality?" Hana replied, "Yeah, can you guess me ?" Mutu laughed, remembering her sulking face toward her ex-boyfriend.

On the way, a junior student called out to Hana, "Senior, do you live here?" Hana smiled. "No," and asked, "Where are you coming from?" The junior said he was coming from school, helping to prepare for the school (Songkran) festival . Mutu was astonished that Hana was so different when they were alone.

They parted ways.

Every student know Their position and possible,The exam was only 2week away. 12th-grade students like them, if they had time, went to school to help out. So, some students helped the 10th and 11th graders.

At school, we saw Mala, Sing Sing, and Ta Ta watching the junior students helping to build stalls for the 12th grade for the exam period. Suddenly, Liv rode up on his ice cream cart to give ice cream to the students helping with the stalls then he go up to his classroom to looks his desk want to take his book and want to the WC(bathroom or toilet) his classroom then he's back the WC and also can't going to cause the class was close then he's pic some view that's show the tree nearly and the sky with some bird but suddenly someone, ask him go away cause they need to going to this class to fix the window then liv he back down to help other ,but he was see mala?He didn't expect Mala to be there, since he saw her the week before.

Mala saw him and was immediately displeased. She walked up. "Look at you! You have time to ride around giving people ice cream!"

Liv explained, "They're helping to build the stalls (a small shelter made of woven mats and thatched roofs for selling food and Khmer desserts during the songkran school festival)." Liv often came to help the junior students, so they got along well. They were happy when Liv came because he always brought them ice cream as a thank you.

One student slyly remarked, "Brother Liv is being monopolized now!" Sing Sing and Ta Ta tried to hold back their laughter.

Mala said, "Try saying that again!" The students pretended they didn't hear. "Oh, Senior, what did you say?" Mala demanded, "Say what you just said again!"

Liv saw things were getting tense. He said goodbye to the juniors and tried to grab Mala's hand to pull her away. Instead, he grabbed her bag and dragged her along. He apologized to the juniors for Mala, then asked Mala, "Why did you come?"

Mala snapped, "Don't you dare call my name! you better watch yourself!"

As she turned back, she bumped into Tuna, who was running. Tuna fell. Liv helped her up. Mala, annoyed, said to Tuna, "That's why you keep following people and serving them all the time!" She left. Tuna quickly gathered her belongings. Sara was filming a video of herself eating with friends, and she looked very adorable, but…

The students' collective efforts were strong. Every year in April, the school had a small break called the "Small Vacation" for 18-19 days. Before the break, there was a New Year festival at school, like a big party. During the break, the 13th, 14th, 15th, and 16th were the traditional Khmer New Year holidays. There was always a grand celebration (moha songkran) at the Great Religious Temple, Angkor Wat. Every province celebrated, too.

We saw students working together: gathering bamboo, collecting straw for the roofs. Students showed off their construction skills, helping each other with building ideas. Girls helped decorate and find materials for stalls, selling Khmer and modern crafts. Some made adorable decorations, some wrote stall signs, and others brainstormed menus and collected money for food and dessert sales. Some students helped make star lanterns (a traditional Khmer lantern symbolizing the upcoming Khmer New year in April). Others learned modern dances like K-Pop, some sang, and some practiced their speeches and practice Khmer traditional dance we called "robam" that's dance for open celebrate and enjoy bless on people.Students were constantly studying and practicing.

The 12th-grade students, who were 11th graders last year, had done all this before. Now in 12th grade, they still helped, but some were busy because they had to focus on the exams coming up in a few days.

Likan also came to school that day and helped a bit. She saw Liv again. It was funny two quiet people who were not close in class, who never even talked before, were now helping each other. Work brings quick connections. and Likan also need to back home.

As she walked home and waited for the bus, she remembered the rainy day! She said aloud, 'It can't be! Meeting him again, and not knowing him… it's just too much!'

She picked up her phone because her Aunt told her to hurry home; dinner was ready. "Yes, Aunt." At that moment, she saw a motorbike that same figure, black hoodie, black long pants, speeding past. She watched. 'It can't be him, can it?' she mumbled to herself as the bus arrived.

It was truly a coincidence. The bus stopped at the red light. Likan looked to the right and saw him! She scrutinized him: black helmet with the visor down. 'Isn't he hot?' Black hoodie, black long pants, sneakers! 'I've seen this somewhere!' The person turned their head, with the visor still down. She didn't know if he saw or recognized her, or if it was even the same person. Likan shook her head and stopped thinking.

She arrived home!

"Aunt, that smells so good! What are you cooking?" She quickly took a shower and rushed back. When she came down, she saw a man: her father, Vira. He was sober. Likan rushed to hug him. Aunt ja told him to take a shower, then they would eat together. He seemed obedient, even though he was still slightly drunk. Aunt Cha even shaved his beard. Aunt ja clearly loved him, but he never showed her affection back, and since he was always drunk, he didn't realize it. That night, dinner together was Likan's happiness!
