Chapter 2 - Hijacking

Either way, I'm grateful.

I pulled my phone out to connect it with my headphones and opened the book online. I've always known I'm somewhat of a bookworm, and I didn't mind it because I'm a music-obsessed freak as well. Oh well, I'll enjoy the moment and block out the noise of the other passengers to read my book in peace until I arrive at my stop.

ALL OF YOU SOULLESS PEOPLE PUT YOUR GODDAMN HANDS IN THE AIR RIGHT NOW!!!

Three men stood up from their seats and carried a bag with unknown contents. I couldn't see or hear it because of my headphones, and I didn't bother to look, thinking they wouldn't be a problem and it'd probably just be a prank, so I went back to reading my book. One of the men who appeared to be one of the lackeys of the group held his head down and murmured, "Boss, is this really a good idea?" hijacking a train and threatening to murder. I know we have been struggling to make ends meet, but surely there must be another way, right? We shouldn't turn to violence.

"What the fuck are you talking about, you spineless son of a bitch!? Don't you understand how much money all these selfish, greedy, grubbing people make a day? in what we could only scrape through in a week??? Don't tell me you're backing out on this. We are brothers; for goodness' sake, we are in this hole together, and if I say we are dying together, we will die together. You got that? If that is... If any one of you has anything to say to me, then be my guest."

The hijacker then held up the knife he had in his back pocket to push his threat high so the people on the train could see he meant business, and the rest kept quiet as the passengers all stood there frightened and panicked; some others started to run around the train in a frenzy; others huddled up together in fear.

Now, we have some demands to make of all of you, and if you comply, I will consider sparing you a chance to live. If you don't, let's just say hell has a seat for people like you, the man spoke, taking the knife and stabbing it into a helpless old man to use as an example.

"ARGHHH AH-"

SOMEONE PLEASE...

Help me... I'm begging you.. to-

You people can't be so cold to me, please. Can't you all see I'm bleeding out...? Call the doctor, call the police. I have grandchildren at home waiting for me; they have no parents, no one to come home to, please.

The wounded elderly man tried to reach up and snag onto one of the hijackers' pants. His bones were so weak and frail you could hear them crack with each movement he made in that very moment. Get your disgusting hands off me, you decaying old pipe! "He was coldly kicked aside, violently crashing into the wall of the train. There was nothing we could do, nothing anyone could do to help as they watched the body of the lifeless man go limp. The color of his eyes soon faded to black as he bled out on the floor. No one could help or save him. Even if they could've saved the man's life, no one would dare put their own lives at risk just to save another, so they all held their heads down in shame and waited for the hijackers' commands to get this over with.

Okay, then, now that everyone seems to understand the situation here, I will tell you what I need from you all. First, put every single little thing you deem to be valuable and expensive right in this here bag, which I shall call for when I deem fit to make the first bid, and if you hold back on anything, I won't hesitate to blow this train to bits.

Everyone shook their heads up and down, not wanting to piss these crazy men off
