Gu Liang stormed off past Zimo and Lingling.
They exchanged curious glances, before Zimo quickly walked to Gu Yuxuan's office.
"What happened?" he asked as he entered.
Gu Yuxuan was back at his desk, working as normal. "What are you referring to?" he asked.
"Was that your brother? He didn't look very happy."
Gu Yuxuan didn't answer and just stayed glued to the laptop. Zimo went to stand next to him.
"Did your meeting upset both of you? Do you want to talk about it?"
Gu Yuxuan looked at him. "Go back. I want to be alone."
"Is that what you want?" Zimo asked softly, feeling the emotional weight of it.
"Why would I ask you that if I don't want it?"
Zimo stared at him without responding, hesitating whether he should listen to him or not. Gu Yuxuan looked colder than usual, making his heart uneasy to just walk away.
"I don't want to", he said. He wasn't trying to tease him this time, and somehow it made him nervous on how Gu Yuxuan would react.
