Chapter 1 - Chapter - 1 The Un Expected Dark Night

The morning sun had barely risen over the horizon, casting a soft golden glow on the landscape. Hogwarts stood majestically in the distance, its towers piercing the sky, surrounded by lush green forests and the sparkling Black Lake. A gentle breeze carried the scent of dew-kissed grass, rustling the leaves as students made their way toward the legendary castle. There was excitement in the air, but beneath it, an unsettling tension lingered, as if the very walls of Hogwarts whispered of the darkness that had yet to come.

All the students were walking toward Hogwarts, their expressions a mix of eagerness and nervous anticipation. Awaiting them was a familiar figure — Bobby, who stepped forward with a warm smile.

"I am Bobby," he said cheerfully, "Dobby's younger brother. I work here at Hogwarts now, and I'll be guiding all of you inside."

Bobby led the students through the gates. James, Rose, and Albus walked side by side, their conversation light, but a quiet watchfulness lingered in Albus's eyes. Scorpius approached Albus with a friendly smile.

"Hi, Albus," Scorpius greeted.

"Hi, Scorpius. How are you?" Albus replied.

"I'm fine," Scorpius said. He walked with James for a short while before his friend Jenna arrived, taking his hand.

Frank, curious and cautious, turned to James. "Do you really be friends with Scorpius? He's Draco's nephew, you know."

James smiled. "Yes. Maybe Draco's family made bad choices before, but Scorpius is a good person at heart. He isn't like them, not even Draco's uncle."

Albus nodded quietly in agreement.

For a moment, Albus stopped walking. Rose noticed and asked, "Why did you stop?"

Albus's eyes narrowed, lost in thought. "I feel… someone is following us. There's something… around that tree."

James and Rose glanced toward the tree but saw nothing.

"Maybe it's just an illusion," Rose murmured.

Albus shook his head. "I saw something… but what is it?"

Suddenly, a glowing hand appeared behind the tree. A figure in a black hoodie, face concealed, smiled bitterly from the shadows. The three friends exchanged uneasy glances but continued walking toward Hogwarts.

At Dark Night, all the students walking into Hogwarts. The wind is breezing. James, Rose, Scorpius looking at sky because of its cool weather. As the students arrived at Hogwarts, they immediately felt the unique atmosphere of the castle — a perfect blend of cool warmth and gentle, breezy winds that whispered through the ancient halls. Minerva McGonagall and Hagrid awaited them at the entrance.

"I am Minerva McGonagall, Headmistress of Hogwarts," she announced gracefully. "I welcome all of the new-year students into Hogwarts."

Hagrid waved cheerfully. "Hello, students!"

James couldn't hide his excitement and smiled at Hagrid, who returned the gesture warmly. Albus and Rose smiled in acknowledgment as well.

Minerva took her seat, and Hagrid instructed everyone to form lines. "No fighting," he said firmly. "All students will be sorted into their houses. Remember, your house represents not only your abilities but your values."

When it was James Sirius Potter's turn, he sat on the Sorting Chair. The Sorting Hat deliberated aloud.

"Oh, it's difficult to choose. You are intelligent, brave, and smart," it said.

"I want Slytherin… or Gryffindor," James whispered.

The Sorting Hat pondered before announcing, "Gryffindor!"

Next was Albus Severus Potter.

"You carry the names of two great Headmasters," the Hat mused.

Albus muttered, "Gryffindor," and the Hat agreed, sorting him into Gryffindor.

Rose Granger-Weasley followed. The Sorting Hat admired her intelligence, kindness, and determination, and she, too, was placed in Gryffindor. Frank was sorted into Gryffindor, Scorpius as well, and Fred into Ravenclaw.

After sorting, students gathered with their housemates for the first meal of the year. Hagrid announced proudly that he would be Gryffindor's class teacher.

Rose found herself captivated by Minerva's presence, while James engaged in conversation with Scorpius.

"I'm really excited to be here and to be in Gryffindor," Scorpius admitted. "I thought I'd be in Slytherin."

"You got Gryffindor, and we're housemates," James said with a smile. "I wanted Slytherin, too, because I admire their intelligence… and Severus Snape. My friend Tony is in Slytherin, though."

Albus, overhearing, looked downcast.

Meanwhile, James noticed Rose was completely absorbed by Minerva's presence. Mischievously, he sprinkled water on her, causing laughter among the students.

"Are you serious?" Rose exclaimed, wiping herself off. "Why do you always disturb me?"

James teased further. "Are you here with us, or has your soul gone to meet Headmistress Minerva?"

Rose rolled her eyes. "Seriously, James?"

James laughed. "Why are you looking at me like that? Are you going to eat me?"

"Do you secretly love Minerva McGonagall?" he asked with a grin.

Rose blushed slightly. "Yes… why not? I admire her. She's the smartest witch I know. Mother and Dad told me great things about her. I want to be calm, smart, and powerful like her — a true protector of Hogwarts."

James smiled warmly.

After the meal, Minerva instructed students to return to their respective dormitories and warned them of strict consequences for disobedience. Rose held her puppy, Tommy, James had his owl, Edward, and Albus had his owl, Baazigar.

Walking toward their rooms, James teased Rose about her dog, "Looks more like a cat than a dog."

"Don't make fun of Tommy! I love him," Rose retorted.

James added, "You look weird every time you stare at me."

Albus looked troubled, lost in thought.

"What's wrong, Albus? Why do you look so dull?" James asked.

"I… I don't know. I feel like I may never be as strong as Dad, or as intelligent as you," Albus confessed. "You are exactly like Father — strong, unique, and skilled in magic."

Rose gently lifted Albus's chin. "Look, you are strong, too. You may not realize your inner strength yet, but it is powerful. You are smart and brave, and your heart shines even in darkness."

Albus smiled faintly. "I miss Dad… I don't know why I've felt so off today."

James took his brother's hand. "We are always with you. Face every challenge without fear. That's a promise."

Rose and Scorpius nodded in agreement. Hagrid, who had overheard, stepped forward.

"Whatever James and Rose said is true. You are strong, Albus, like your father," Hagrid said, wiping a tear. "We will help you through dark times and guide you on your path."

Later, Albus, restless, wrote a letter to Harry Potter, revealing his worries and confirming he was in Gryffindor like James, Rose, Scorpius, and Frank. He handed it to Baazigar, who flew off to deliver it.

Meanwhile, in the shadows, a dark figure watched. Dressed in a black hoodie, its eyes glowed red. Flames erupted from its hands, engulfing nearby bushes in ash. A bitter laugh echoed through the air.

"I AM COMING FOR YOU, HARRY POTTER… AND HOGWARTS…"
