"A three lettered word,why, can hound you and make you lose your mind"
Ashton leaned in closer to her and bit her ear, he knew it was her soft spot.
" Ashton!! What are you doing?" Ariana asked, trying to push him away, but he was all the more ready for her reaction.
" Why??" He held her shoulders roughly and the tone of his voice increased.
"Tell me! Why did you leave me? Tell me!" He was clearly angry tightening his grip on her shoulders.
But did he even notice. The main question is why??
"Ashton, you're hurting me" Ariana tried to free herself from his grasp.
"This is nothing compared to the pain you made me feel for all these years!" Ashton's fingers pressed onto her chin, while he made her look directly into his eyes..
"You don't know what I've been through because of you, I don't want to be anywhere close to you, much less work for you" Ariana fought back.
"Really, you don't! Do u even remember how you got this job?" He asked her and her mind drifted to two years back after she'd graduated.
The job surprisingly found her, she didn't even have to move,
So was Ashton behind it?
"I brought you here, or else you'd still be in the gutters, with no well paying job!" He insisted, continuing to press her shoulders.
"If this job came from you, then I don't want to work here anymore" Her voice was lower than expected.
"Four years ago, you broke all your promises, you left me like I meant nothing to you...now, you wish to do the same thing?" He was angrier.
"Leave me alone Ashton, you're the one who broke me, can't you see the damage youce caused" Ariana replied, tears almost falling from her eyes.
I always promised myself to stay strong if I ever came face to face with him again, but look at me now,
"Don't dare think that I'll let you fool me with those fake tears of yours again" Ashton said, finally letting her go and pushing her aside.
He walked over to the sofa in his office and sat down, crossing his legs.
" You'd come to finalize the proposal in person, I'm waiting for you to convince me or else, all your co workers will be laid off and replaced." His voice was cold, and threatening.
"No... please..don't I'll do whatever you want" Ariana begged.
"Really?" He asked.
"Yes whatever you want" she was helpless.
"Then come over here and serve me" he motioned her to come closer.
She had no choice. She walked over to his side and poured him a drink, handing it to him.
But Ashton had no intentions of drinking, he pulled her to his laps and kissed her.
"A..Ashton stop it.." Ariana tried to fight back.
" Why? Don't you like it anymore or do you have another rich man you trapped for his money" He said hold her down.
"Remember all your workers could lose their jobs if you don't do what I want" he threatened.
But at which expense, losing her self respect?
She had no other choice.
She herself extended her hands and pulled his face closer, kissing him again.
Ashton didn't back off either,did not let go, he pulled her closer and closer by her waist.
He waited so long for this moment.
"Are you..convinced now?" Ariana asked, breaking the kiss he was about to answer, before someone came in abruptly and interrupted... finding them in such an awkward position.
"Oh!! I'm sorry sir" To be apologized right away, covering his face with the files he was holding after the two fixed themselves.
" I'll make my decision later" Ashton implied to Ariana, who left right away, feeling embarrassed and crying straight to the elevator without turning back.
Ashton looked at Tobe, ready to fire him at any moment.
" Sir, don't look at me like that, I had an emergency" He tried to defend himself.
But what sort of emergency could be more important than Ariana!
" It's Claris, she's arrived and is on her way up here" Tobe added.
The one thing Ashton Kaur was afraid of was Ariana meeting that woman. He didn't want her anywhere close to her or himself.
He'd recently got engaged to her, more like forced. His mother kept on obsessing over him getting married to her, she was nothing but another obstacle in his life and he needed to get rid of it soon.
"Where is she?"

Ariana panicked, she was scared and not stable anymore. Her memories from four years back came rushing back.
" Why does it have to be him?"
She rushed out of the elevator before accidentally bumping into someone and accidentally spilled black coffee the person was holding allover their white clothes.
"Gosh, I knew this day would turn out bad for me"
"You!! Look what you've done,!" The lady shouted.
"I'm so sorry, ma'am, so sorry, I didn't see you" Ariana humbly apologized.
"Can't you watch where you're going, I had come to see my husband, but you've ruined my dress you stupid woman!" The lady cursed her blaming her.
" With all due respect ma'am, U didn't intend to ruin your perfect dress. I'll pay for the cleaning expenses," Ariana replied.
"Can you even afford to pay the expenses, look at yourself, so cheap! I'll make you pay" the lady said, trying to slap her but Ariana dodged it and the lady missed.
With her high heels she wore, she almost fell to the ground.
" You rich people look down on everyone let me tell you, this is my work place and I won't let you make a scene" Ariana boldly replied.
"Hey!! My husband owns this place,I'll have him fire you right away!"
"Ma'am, you're welcome to try,I'll be resigning soon anyway, but you can help me ease the process" Ariana said, her and Ashton working in the same environment, she couldn't handle such suffocation.
She was bound to leave, just to avoid the man who hurt her, but would he even let her leave?
"Here's my ID card, feel free to give it to whoever your husband is and have him fire me" Ariana added, taking it off and throwing it at her.
She was already in a bad mood and she was adding to it, the annoying rich woman.
She pushed her aside and stormed off to the bathroom.
"How dare she, I'll have Ashton fire her today itself" the lady said stomping her foot in anger, and entered the elevator....
