Ashton's rush trip to GOLDEN EMPIRE was regarding the new project for the Sky Core Building worth multi billions, with an early board meeting.

"Good morning sir"
They all greeted him as he entered and surprisingly, he replied.
"Good morning" he was in a good mood.
"CEO, the project plans provided by the design department are exceptional, the one who made the drafts should take charge and make sure there are no faults,"
"We are willing to invest more than enough"the investors said.
"Ms Lissio will surely take charge of this project and I'll see to myself " Ashton replied and made it loud and clear.
With more discussions, the meeting was adjourned at exactly 8 30 am.
Tobe couldn't understand his boss today, something had changed about him after last night.
Was it because of the girl from the Architectural Department?
He hadn't yet left the meeting room and again, Claris made an unexpected visit
Why was she everywhere?
Becoz of his good mood, Ashton wasn't so cold to her like he usually was.
" What are you doing here Claris?" He asked, his eyes still glued on the laptop in front of him .
"Ash, your mom called, you'd promised to give me a position in GOLDEN EMPIRE. She was asking about it" Claris replied, trying to get close to him.
Still focussed on his laptop, Ashton didn't notice, but a pair of eyes outside saw them. It was Lexie.
Again!
"What can you do Claris, you never studies engineering, your existence won't benefit us at all, just stick to your modelling career" Ashton said.
"But Ashton I...." She tried to say but he cut her off.
"Fine, I'll give you a week as Vice CEO, if you can't handle it, you will have to walk away" Ashton finally took his eyes off the laptop and made it very clear to her.
"Alright, I promise. I'll try my best..." She replied before he stood up and went to his office.
" A week is more than enough to win your heart and I'll do whatever it takes"

Ariana woke up with a massive hangover, it took her six whole minutes to recall everything that happened the previous night.
How she took advantage of her drunk situation to sleep with Ashton, all along knowing he wasn't an imagination, but was real.
She wanted it to happen
" Last night was the best night I've had in the last 4 years. I felt how much he still loves me" she blushed like a teenager madly in love.

She took the hangover pills by the lampshed and headed to the shower to freshen up.
Just like Ashton, she was happy, forgetting about the pain and betrayal she had in her heart.
Since nothing had changed in the house they once lived in together, her clothes were still there. She changed and the covered the hickeys she had on her neck with make up.
She had a special glow on her face that she'd never had, she went downstairs for breakfast. Ashton had already set up everything for her like he used to..... treating her like a queen.
But her happiness vanished when she read a text from Lexie, informing her about Ashton and Claris. He had even promoted her to Vice CEO?
" So that's why he left me so early, to go to her!!"
Maybe,she was the better woman.
Feeling regret and anger, she immediately stood up, taking her things and left, without even having the sweet breakfast he'd prepared for her.
She headed straight to GOLDEN EMPIRE. She had finally decided to resign, with her resignation letter in her hands, taking it to HR. She was not going to work in the same place as them.
"Sorry Ariana, but without the CEO'S approval and signature, we can't fire you" the head of HR said.
"But sir, he might be busy and won't have time for a low-level employee like me" she replied trying to convince him.
She knew so we'll that if she took it to him, he'd never allow for her to leave, he might as well lock her up in the building.
"Then, you'll have to wait..." The HR head left her hanging.
She had no choice, but to go up to his office.
"I'm sorry Ari! But no one's allowed to enter, he's in there with the new vice CEO" Lexie said.
Ariana felt like she wanted to cry and just wanted to leave before he ever knew she even came but to her luck, the door opened and they both came out.
" Mr Ashton, she wanted to speak to you...." Lexie tried to say but Ariana cut her off.
"Not anymore, sorry to bother you" Ariana said, trying to pass by them but Ashton caught her hand.
"I want to speak to Ms Lissio.....alone...." Ashton said, implying that everyone should leave.
"But Ashton..." Claris wanted to say something but he didn't care.
He dragged Ariana to his office and shut the door, trapping her on it.
"Look at me" he said but she didn't bother.
"LOOK AT ME" he said it again in a cold tone and it forced her to look up at him with her teary eyes.
"Let me go! You already have a woman by your side" she was crying.
"Ari! I'm sorry but that woman, she means nothing to me" Ashton replied, wiping her tears and caressing her face.
"But it doesn't seem that way....why do you keep doing this to me. I thought that after last night, you won't leave me and go, but you still left and went to her!" She said, removing his hands frol her face and slipping the letter into them.
"I'm tired, I want to resign" she added firmly without even regretting it.
" That's what this is all about, you want to leave me again, for once in 4 years, when I woke up with you next to me, I felt so happy. I had my whole world in front of me, I was ready to forget everything and move on with you again, Dawn" he replied whole heartedly.
" But you moved on already, and even have a wife, you were together and you even made her Voice CEO, just let me go!" Ariana was hell bent on leaving.
"No you won't resign, I won't allow it" he replied tearing it up in front of her to bits.
"In fact,,you have just been promoted, congratulations Ariana Lissio you're now the Assistant CEO of GOLDEN EMPIRE!!!"...
