Ashton couldn't hold back his anger any longer, how could she think if resigning
"What!!" Ariana was surprised to his hasty decision.
" I'm challenging you, if you can handle this quite well, I'll sign the letter,,,sign this contract" Ashton glared at her.
He meant every word he said. He was now in a bad mood all thanks to her. All the little love left had left in his eyes disappeared completely.
"Fine,, you want a challenge, I'll give you one, I accept, I'll make you fire me yourself," Ariana replied before signing the contract and storming out of the office.
"Tobe!! Get in here" he said after pressing the intercom button.
"Yes sir?" Tobe was clearly scared. He was pissed.
"I want you to pass the notice, Ariana Lissio us the new Assistant CEO right now!" He ordered.
As soon as he left, he threw everything that was on the desk, on the floor. He was angry, but then again, he was also hurt.
He cried and the same thing was happening to Ariana in the bathroom, she also cried.

"So, he's the one who sent you the blue roses and the dress, the one you've been crying for" Lexie who was currently comforting Ariana in the bathroom said.
"How did you know?" She asked.
"The look in his eyes and yours when he was with another woman gave it all away" Lexie replied helping her fix her makeup.
" You were with him last night, and didn't come home"'she added.
"Yes....." Ariana simply replied.
"It's so obvious that you both still love each other, why are you hurting yourselves like this" Lexie said.
"He's already moved on, he has a woman by his side,,, Lexie, I won't cry for him anymore,," Ariana replied.
" Stop lying to yourself, as long as the other woman is around, you'll always get hurt and cry" Lexie knew all this too well. She'd been there before.
"What should I do now, I can't resign, he won't let me," Ariana sadly pointed out.
"Then you just have to cut off your feelings for him Ariana or else you won't be able to fix your broke heart" Lexie said.
Wasn't she trying to do that already, her feelings just kept on betraying her

"What!!! THE ARCHITECT ARIANA LISSIO HAS BEEN PROMOTED TO ASSISTANT CEO!!" Mrs. Vibbles screamed after she read the notice.
"Why all of a sudden?" She asked, and as soon as she did, Ariana came out of the elevator.
"Ariana, what's going on?"
"It's a long story Mrs.Vibbles, I've just been tasked to do this.....but I won't stay for long" she simply replied,but from the tone she spoke,anyone could tell she was going through something.
"Congratulations"

"Congs" her co workers more like new employees said.
"You're now our boss" they added, but Ariana was not happy.
Escorted by Tobe and more well dressed bodyguards, Ariana slowly packed her things in a box.
"I don't know what's going on, but whatever it is, I hope you'll be able to go through it" Mrs Vibbles said.
"You've trained me well, I've learn more than enough from you" Ariana replied before she hugged her.
"Time to go Madam," Tobe informed, he escorted her back to her new office.
"Wait?? Why are we heading to the CEO's office??" She asked curious.
"Mr Ashton's orders, his office will be your new office" Tobe replied.
He took a closer look at her, she was undeniably pretty no wonder his boss was obsessed with her.
"Seriously??!" She asked. Was it even a joke?
"Ms Lissio, we'll need to authenticate your fingerprint so that you can have access" Tobe implied, pointing to her where she should place her thumb.
She followed whatever he told her and when it was done she entered the office.
"Took you long enough" Ashton was waiting for her already.
" You didn't tell me we have to share an office" she replied placing her things on her new desk,,,which was now a short distance from his.
"You didn't read the contract either" he said placing it on her desk for her to read.
Assistant CEO had to be within the same office with the CEO.
She was to attend to the company and his needs whenever it was necessary.
Breach of contract would lead to a penalty of five million dollars.
"Now it's clear to you" Ashton stood up from his desk and crossed over to her.
"This isn't fair" she tried to complain to him.
He was trapping her here whether she liked it or not.
"It's not my fault you signed it without thinking" he replied,, trapping her on her desk, with both his hands on either side.
" Now that it's our office,you won't mind fulfill my needs any time"
What was he talking about?
He leaned in closer to kiss her.
" No Ashton stop..." She stopped him,
"You didn't say that last night" he said.
"I'm not a toy that you'll just use whenever you want,, you have a woman by your side" she said.
" Why do you keep on insisting about that woman, she's not my wife or anything" Ashton raised his tone.
She kept going on about Claris and he didn't like it.
"Listen.. Ariana, even if I'm married, you'll always be my woman, remember that" he added before he went to the lounge.
Ariana wanted to cry, what did his last statement mean
Was he agreeing that Claris was his wife and she'd be his mistress?

"Ashton promoted that woman to Assistant CEO! how could he do that, who is she to him anyway" Claris argued while she was in her office.
Assistant CEO was a higher position than hers, what was Ashton trying to prove.
"That woman ...she must have seduced him to get this position and I won't allow it!! Only I have the right to be closer to Ashton not her or anyone else" Claris was angry.
She picked her phone and dailed a number.
"Hello Mrs Kaur....I need your help.....you need to come back to the city and get your son and I married..."
