I stare at her for a uncomfortable duration, before asking her what she was doing?
"What do you mean, what am I doing?", She asked me. I finally snap back to reality, and started eating my breakfast as fast as I could.
After I finished eating,"Okay,let's go", I told her while locking my door. "Took you long enough. Quick we are late.", she said in a annoyed manner. We both start speed walking to school without saying a single word, it was very awkward but I didn't have anything to talk to her.
Or so I thought. I remember something... "Hey Nadia, didn't you say that I reminded you of someone when I said I had interest on music?", I asked her. She replies,"Yes,I indeed did say that.Why did you ask?"
" I was wondering if you could tell me who that person was?", I asked.
She stops.."Uh-uh, if you don't want to tell me, it's fine.",I said to calm things down.
She insisted,"No, it's fine. Let me tell you about it.... When I was 13, I met a guy, I had gone to my village to celebrate a festival. And during that time I had met him, he was gentle, respectful, and all I could ask for a boy to have. I wasn't staying there for a while, so I tried to cherish every moment with him. I was absolutely in love, the day before I was about to leave, I confessed my feelings to him, he replied me by saying that he will have to think about it.", she tells me everything.
"So that's how it is.", I said. "What kind of dumbass would say that, I mean who would keep a confession on hold, when the girl is confessiong. That must be super dumb.", I thought to myself. But as I have a glance of her, I could see her holding her tears back. I could tell she felt bad, so I gave her a tissue and told her to let it out.
After that was done, she thanks me for the tissue and tells me about everything that had happend with him on the way, and the more she told me, the more I was getting sure that the guy must have feelings for her aswell. But the. I wander to myself,"Why, why did he not accept the confession?"
I couldn't come to a conclusion. We reached our class and took our seats. The classes go by and during one of our classes, the teacher told us that there was a dance competition happening soon. I didn't have any interest but Nadia seemed really interested in it.
I let her do her thing and suddenly it was lunch time. As I am having my lunch the person from the music club calls me. He told me the piano was there and I could start practicing. My eyes light up brighter then the sun."It's here!",I shouted excitedly. I go to the club room and as soon as I saw the piano, I fell in love. I was about to play something, but the bell interrupted me.
I grind my teeth and left the room sad. I was focused in all of my classes after that, just so I could play the piano. Even Nadia felt something was off about me so she asked,"Uhh is something big going to happen? Why are you actually focusing in class?"
"Well ouch..but that is because after these painfully boring classes are over I play the new piano.", I said while thinking about playing it. Finally after all those classes I could finally play it. I rush to the music club and immediately got on a chair to play the piano.
I take a deep breath, and start playing "Golden Time". I was playing every note with pin point precision. I forgot the concept of time during that, until Nadia came shouting,"HEY, Are you not going home!? I have been waiting for soo long now!!"
I get startled,and mess up a note. It shattered me. Depressed, I walk home with nothing but that last note in mind. I am pretty sure Nadia was saying something, but I didn't hear anything. I reach home and said good byes to Nadia.
I still haven't realized that Nadia waited for me after school. Until, I finished eating my dinner and was about to got to sleep. But before I started drifting to sleep, I finally realized what Nadia did...
And I said,"She is just perfect-"
