Chapter 7 - Genya is gay?

Giyuu shrugs nonchalantly.

"Since you started complaining about your life to me."

He keeps his expression neutral, but there's a teasing glint in his eyes. Sanemi smirks back.

"Tch. Fair point. But don't get too comfortable, Giyuu."

He leans against the wall, looking slightly more relaxed than before. Sanemi glances at the children again, then back at Giyuu. "You're surprisingly persistent."

He seems almost impressed by Giyuu's determination to break through his walls. Giyuu smiles faintly.

"It's part of my charm."

He steps closer to Sanemi, enjoying the banter. Sanemi rolls his eyes but doesn't move away.

"Charm? More like stubbornness."

He tries to hide his amusement but fails to suppress a small smile. Giyuu leans in slightly, lowering his voice.

"Admit it, you like having someone to talk to."

The air between them feels charged with an unexpected tension. They heard a squeak coming from Mitsuri and a loud laugh who is make from Rengoku.

"You two are so cute!"

Sanemi instantly stiffens and turns red.

"Shut up, Kanroji! We're not cute!"

He looks absolutely mortified at being overheard by his colleagues. Mitsuri giggles uncontrollably.

"Yes you are! Look at how close you're standing!"

She claps her hands excitedly, drawing more attention to them. Giyuu maintains his composure but his ears turn slightly pink.

"We were just talking."

He steps back a bit, trying to regain his usual stoic demeanor. Rengoku walks over with a knowing grin.

"Sure, just talking! That's what all the flirting is about!"

He winks at Sanemi, clearly enjoying the situation. Sanemi glares daggers at Rengoku.

"I'm going to kill you, Kyojuro."

He looks like he might actually explode from embarrassment. Giyuu stifles a laugh at Sanemi's reaction.

"Maybe we should move somewhere else."

He subtly gestures toward the door, hoping to escape the teasing. Sanemi grabs Giyuu's arm and starts dragging him away.

"Yeah, let's get out of here before these idiots say anything else."

He pulls Giyuu toward the hallway, muttering curses under his breath.

"I am just texting the kids that they should go back and sleep."

Sanemi slows down and releases Giyuu's arm.

"Right... kids. I forgot about them."

He runs a hand through his hair, still flustered but slightly calmer. Giyuu types on his phone while he is walking.

"They seem to be having fun, but it's getting late."

"Do you like kids?"

He glances at Sanemi, noting how he's still blushing. Giyuu pockets his phone and looks at Sanemi.

"I like teaching. Makes me feel... useful."

There's a hint of vulnerability in his tone, something he rarely shows. Sanemi looks at Giyuu thoughtfully.

"You're more than just useful. You're... different."

He catches himself and quickly adds.

"From the other teachers, I mean."

Giyuu raises an eyebrow.

"Is that a compliment, Sanemi?"

He leans against the wall next to him, their shoulders almost touching. Sanemi scoffs but doesn't move away.

"Don't get used to it. I still think you're annoying."

His words lack their usual bite, betraying his true feelings and Giyuu smirks.

" You keep saying that, but here we are."

He gestures between them, noting how comfortable they've become in each other's presence. Sanemi turns his head away, trying to hide his expression. "Whatever. Just don't expect me to go easy on you during the afternoon club."

He attempts to maintain his tough exterior, but there's a hint of playfulness in his tone. Giyuu laughs softly.

"I wouldn't dream of it. I'll make sure to push you extra hard."

He knows Sanemi secretly enjoys the physical challenges of the afternoon clubs. Sanemi smirks back, finally looking at Giyuu again.

"Challenge accepted."

His eyes gleam with competitive spirit, the tension between them shifting into something more playfu.*

He saw Genya making out with some random guy...a guy?

Sanemi spots Genya and immediately tenses up, his protective instincts kicking in.

"What the hell..."

His eyes widen in shock and anger as he watches his younger brother. Giyuu notices Sanemi's sudden change in demeanor and follows his gaze.

" That's... unexpected."

He watches as Genya pulls away from the guy, looking flustered and guilty. Sanemi clenches his fists, his jaw tightening.

"That little shit... I'm going to kill him."

He starts walking toward Genya, fury radiating from him. Giyuu quickly grabs Sanemi's arm again, this time more firmly.

"Wait, Sanemi. Don't make a scene."

He can feel the tension in Sanemi's muscles, ready to explode. Sanemi snaps at Giyuu, but doesn't shake him off.

"Let go. He's with a guy. A guy!"

His voice is low and dangerous, struggling to contain his anger. Giyuu maintains his grip, speaking calmly.

"I know, but confronting him like this won't help."

He tries to reason with Sanemi while keeping an eye on Genya. Sanemi breathes heavily, torn between his protective instincts and Giyuu's logic.

"Fuck... you're right. But I'm still pissed."

He reluctantly stops moving forward, though his eyes are still fixed on Genya. Sanemi glares at Genya as he approaches, his voice dripping with anger.

"You have some explaining to do. Now." Genya looks between Sanemi and Giyuu nervously.

"Nemi, I can explain..."

He fidgets with his hands, clearly uncomfortable under his brother's intense stare.

Sanemi crosses his arms.

"You better start talking, or I'm going to drag you out of here myself."

His tone leaves no room for argument, and his expression is murderous.

I am gay, Nemi.

Sanemi stares at Genya in shock, then suddenly grabs him by the collar.

L"And you didn't think to tell me? Your own brother?"

His grip tightens as he struggles to process this revelation. Genya flinches at Sanemi's grip.

"I was scared! I didn't know how you'd react..."

His voice trembles slightly, showing his fear and guilt. Sanemi lets go abruptly, running a hand through his hair in frustration.

"Scared? You think I'd hurt you? I'm your family!"

He steps back, visibly hurt by Genya's fear of him. Genya tears welling up in his eyes.

"I know... but you're so protective. I thought you might... reject me."

He looks down at the ground, ashamed of his assumptions. Sanemi his expression softens slightly, though he's still angry.

"I would never reject you for something like that. I just... I need time to process this."

He glances at Giyuu, seeking some kind of support. Giyuu steps closer to Sanemi, speaking gently.

"It's a lot to take in. Maybe we should all calm down first."

He looks at Genya with understanding, knowing this is a delicate situation.
