The next morning, Sanemi wakes up early and starts preparing for the trip, making sure he has enough snacks and water for everyone.
"This is going to be a long day..."
He checks his phone again and sees a message from Giyuu.
Giyuu:
We're almost ready. The kids are excited to meet you properly.
Sanemi:
Great. Just great.
Sanemi yell through the arpartment to wake Genya up Genya groans loudly from his room.
"Five more minutes, Sanemi!"
"NOW! GET UP AND GET READY! I'M NOT WAITING ALL DAY!"
Sanemi marches to Genya's room and bangs on the door.
"I said NOW! And put some decent clothes on. You're not going out in those pajamas."
He can hear movement inside as Genya reluctantly gets up. Genya opens the door, still half asleep and wearing a baggy shirt and shorts.
"These are decent clothes. You're just being bossy."
"Those shorts are too short. Go change into something longer."
He crosses his arms and glares at his brother's exposed legs. Genya rolls his eyes and mutters.
"You're such a pain. Fine, I'll wear pants."
He shuffles back into his room to change, while Sanemi checks his watch impatiently.
"And fix your hair! It looks like a bird's nest!"
He can hear Genya mumbling about how strict he is as he gets dressed. After a few minutes, Genya emerges in a pair of jeans and a decent shirt, his hair still messy but less wild.
"Happy now? Can we go?"
"Finally. And no, I'm not happy. But at least you look presentable."
He grabs his keys and gestures for Genya to follow him out the door. As they head to the car, Sanemi spots Giyuu's car pulling up outside.
"Great, they're here."
He spots Muichiro and Inosuke in the backseat, already arguing about something. More Inosuke and Muichiro is listening. Sanemi watches as the Kamado siblings approach, Tanjiro waving enthusiastically and Nezuko trailing behind with a shy smile.
"More kids... this is getting ridiculous."
He looks at Giyuu with a mix of amusement and exasperation. Giyuu gets out of the car and greets Sanemi with a small wave.
"Good morning, Sanemi."
"Good morning, Giyuu. How do you handle all these kids?"
The noise level increases as Tanjiro and Nezuko reach them, followed by Muichiro and Inosuke's bickering.
"Happily I didn't adopted Inoske too."Giyuu kiss Sanemi's cheek Sanemi blushes slightly at the kiss, then glares at Inosuke who's now shouting about being stronger than everyone else.
"Lucky you. That kid is going to give me gray hairs."
He wraps an arm around Giyuu's waist, pulling him closer protectively. Giyuu smirks at Sanemi's protective gesture.
"Don't worry, I'll keep him in line. Mostly."
Inosuke notices the affectionate display and yells louder.
"OI! Lovebirds! Let's go already!"
"Can you take Tanjiro and Nezuko in your car?"
Sanemi looks at the two Kamado siblings and then back at Giyuu.
"Sure, I guess I can handle three kids."
He opens the passenger door for Tanjiro.
"Tanjiro, you're with me. Nezuko, you can sit in the back with Genya."
"Thank you, Mr. Shinazugawa!"
Nezuko nods quietly and gets in, while Genya groans again. Giyuu watches as everyone gets settled in the cars.
"Thanks, Sanemi. I'll see you at the park."
"Yeah, yeah. Just make sure those two don't destroy my car."
He gets in the driver's seat, Tanjiro already buckling up and chatting with Genya. Tanjiro turns to Sanemi with a bright smile
"Mr. Shinazugawa, can we listen to music?"
"Fine. But no loud rock."
He starts the engine and pulls out of the parking lot, glancing at Tanjiro through the rearview mirror. Tanjiro nods obediently and puts on a pop station, humming along with the tune.
"This is a nice car!"
"Thanks. It's not as flashy as Giyuu's."
Nezuko leans forward from the back seat, her eyes sparkling with interest at the passing scenery. Genya looks at Nezuko and grins.
"Hey, Nezuko, you're pretty quiet."
Nezuko smiles softly and waves at him.
Sanemi watches the interaction through the mirror, secretly amused by how different his brother acts around the shy girl. Tanjiro notices Genya's interest and nudges him playfully.
"She's just shy. You should try talking to her more."
Genya blushes slightly and turns away.
Sanemi snickers under his breath.
Oh, this is going to be entertaining.
"So how is it two date two persons, Genya?@
He means Inoske and Muichiro and it not a secret they are dating, but it's no official. Genya chokes on air and looks mortified.
"W-what?! We're not dating! Where did you get that idea?!"
Sanemi bursts out laughing, unable to contain himself.
"Oh, this is too good. You told me yesterday that you are dating those disasters."
He glances at Genya's panicked expression in the mirror, thoroughly enjoying his brother's embarrassment.
"Inosuke is my best friend and Muichiro is like my brother so I know it. They told me."
Genya face turns redder than a tomato.
"Those idiots... I'm going to kill them!"
Sanemi wipes a tear from his eye.
"No wonder you're always sneaking around with them."
He continues chuckling, enjoying the drama unfolding in his car.
"Shut up, Sanemi! It's not what you think!"
He crosses his arms defensively, slumping down in his seat while Tanjiro looks genuinely confused.
"But Inosuke said he loves you both... and Muichiro always blushes when you're near."
Sanemi grins wickedly trying to focus on the street.
"Oh, this is better than reality TV."
He makes a mental note to tease Genya about this later. Genya covers his face with his hands.
"I hate you all... especially Inosuke and Muichiro."
"You're such a drama queen, just like your boyfriends."
The car fills with Genya's embarrassed groans as they continue driving to the park. Tanjiro giggles innocently.
"It's okay, Genya. They're lucky to have you!"
Sanemi snorts.
"Yeah, real lucky. A moody teenager with two clingy partners."
He pulls into the park parking lot, spotting Giyuu's car already there.
