Rengoku's laughter turns into a hearty guffaw.
"Oh, that's rich! Sanemi, you naughty boy!"
He laughs harder, while Sanemi looks like he wants to disappear. Sanemi's face turns redder than ever, and he covers his face with his hands.
"Shut up! It wasn't like that!"
He protests weakly, knowing it's a losing battle. Rengoku's laughter dies down, and he speaks again with a hint of mockery.
"Sure it wasn't. I bet you were enjoying yourself quite a bit."
He teases, and Giyuu can't help but smirk at Sanemi's predicament. Sanemi groans, the memory of their passionate encounter flashing through his mind.
"I hate all of you."
He mutters under his breath, but there's no real venom in it. About two months later. *Sanemi and Genya stand outside Giyuu's house, carrying boxes.
"This is so embarrassing... living with that idiot."
He grumbles to his younger brother, who rolls his eyes. Genya nudges Sanemi with his elbow.
"You're the one who agreed to it. You've been seeing him for months now."
He points out, having caught Sanemi sneaking out more than once. Sanemi grumbles again, adjusting his grip on the box.
"I know, I know. But living together means more... proximity."
He says the last word with a mix of excitement and nervousness. Genya smirks knowingly.
"Proximity for making out, you mean?"
He teases, earning a sharp glare from Sanemi. Which kicks Genya's shin lightly.
"Shut it, brat. You're supposed to be helping, not making fun of your brother."
He tries to sound stern, but his ears turn pink. Genya chuckles and rings the doorbell, ignoring Sanemi's attempt to maintain authority.
"Too late for that. Here comes Giyuu."
He whispers as footsteps approach the door.
The door opens, revealing Giyuu in casual clothes. His expression remains neutral, but there's a subtle warmth in his eyes when he sees Sanemi.
"You're early."
He steps aside to let them in. Sanemi walks in, trying to act cool despite his racing heart.
"Yeah, well, I didn't want to waste time."
He sets the box down, stealing glances at Giyuu's body. Muichiro emerges from another room, clinging to Genya's arm. Genya looks both flustered and pleased.
"Oh great, the lovebird is here too."
He mutters sarcastically, watching them with a mixture of envy and amusement. Giyuu raises an eyebrow at the scene, while Muichiro sticks his tongue out at Sanemi.
"Problem, Sanemi-san?"
He says in his usual monotone voice, but there's a hint of mischief. Sanemi scowls at Muichiro, then turns to Giyuu for support.
"I'm surrounded by brats."
He complains, crossing his arms over his chest. Get both of your things in I will show Genya his room. Giyuu gestures for Genya to follow him, while Sanemi grumbles but starts unpacking.
"Yeah, yeah. Don't get lost in the house, kid."
He calls after Genya, who gives him a thumbs up before disappearing with Giyuu. Sanemi hears the sound of laughter from outside and peeks through the window, spotting the siblings.
"More kids... this place is turning into a daycare."
He mutters, watching Tanjiro and Nezuko chase each other around the garden. Nezuko suddenly notices Sanemi watching and waves energetically, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
"Hello, Sanemi-san!"
Tanjiro looks up as well, offering a friendly smile and a nod. Sanemi awkwardly waves back, not used to children being so friendly with him.
"Hey, kiddo."
He says to Nezuko, trying to sound less gruff. Nezuko bounds over to the window, pressing her face against the glass.
"Are you moving in with Giyuu-san?"
She asks innocently, her voice muffled by the window. Sanemi flushes slightly at the question, caught off guard by her directness.
"Uh... yeah. For now."
He admits, running a hand through his white hair nervously. Giyuu comes back kissing Sanemi's cheek. Sanemi jumps slightly at the unexpected kiss, his face turning even redder as he looks at Giyuu with a mix of embarrassment and affection.
"Giyuu! The kids are watching..."
He whispers, trying to maintain his composure despite the warmth spreading through him. Nezuko giggles and claps her hands together, while Tanjiro pretends that he didn't see it.
"They'll survive."
Giyuu says calmly, a rare small smile playing on his lips as he looks at Sanemi's flustered expression. *Sanemi grabs Giyuu's collar and pulls him closer, whispering in his ear with a warning tone.
"You're enjoying this too much, aren't you?"
His voice is low and slightly threatening, but there's no real anger behind it. Giyuu stays calm and looks to the boxes outside.
"Put your things away."
Sanemi reluctantly lets go of Giyuu, grumbling under his breath again.
"Fine, fine. I'm going."
He shoots one last glare at Giyuu before heading to unpack his belongings, trying to ignore the butterflies in his stomach. As he walks away, Giyuu watches him with an amused expression, knowing exactly how to get under Sanemi's skin.
"And stop smirking!"
He calls over his shoulder, though he can't help but feel a flutter of excitement at their new living arrangement.
Sanemi walk into Giyuu's room. What is now their shared bedroom. Sanemi steps into the room, taking in the sight of Giyuu's belongings mixed with his own. The bed is large enough for two, but it feels strangely intimate.
"This is... different."
He says quietly, setting his box down and running his fingers along the edge of the bed. Sanemi sits on the bed, his tough exterior cracking as he realizes the reality of their relationship.
"We're really doing this, huh? Living together as a couple."
He says, his voice softer than usual, filled with a mix of uncertainty and hope. Giyuu enters the room, sitting beside Sanemi and taking his hand.
"Yes, we are. Unless you've changed your mind."
He looks at Sanemi with his usual stoic expression, but there's a hint of vulnerability in his eyes. Sanemi intertwines their fingers, squeezing Giyuu's hand tightly.
"I haven't. I just... it's going to take some getting used to."
He admits, leaning his head on Giyuu's shoulder. Giyuu rests his cheek against Sanemi's head, his free hand moving to stroke Sanemi's hair gently.
"We'll take it one day at a time. Together."
The simple gesture makes Sanemi's heart race, his usual bravado melting away in Giyuu's presence. Sanemi closes his eyes, letting out a content sigh as he relaxes against Giyuu.
"Together..."
He repeats softly, savoring the warmth of Giyuu's body against his. The sound of footsteps approaching the door breaks the moment, and Giyuu quickly pulls away.
"That's probably Muichiro again."
He warns, knowing how Muichiro likes to interrupt them at the worst times. Sanemi straightens up immediately, his protective instincts kicking in as he shoots a glare at the door.
"If that brat tries to make fun of us again, I swear..."
He growls, though he knows it's more playful than serious.
