CHAPTER 8 — THE AWAKENING THAT SHOOK HEAVEN
The ritual began.
For Aricus to awaken his God Body, all his internal energy must be drained.
Lare placed his hands on Aricus's back.
Aricus:
"Do it. Take everything."
Lare absorbed every bit of Aricus's:
HP
MP
Inner energy
Stamina
Aricus fell to his knees, sweating.
Lare pushed his supreme body aura into him.
But the aura rejected Aricus.
A dark shadow suddenly formed.
Darkra—a mysterious dark guardian—appeared behind Aricus.
Light clashed with darkness.
The air trembled.
Even Harvis stepped back.
The ground cracked.
A hammer-like force struck Aricus's chest.
Then—
A blinding glow.
A rumble like thunder.
Aricus slowly stood… but something was different.
His aura wasn't Supreme Body.
It was something rare.
Something ancient.
Frequent Body.
A divine body type that even the heavens acknowledged.
Harvis's voice trembled.
Harvis:
"…Impossible. A Frequent Body in this era?"
Raen cheered loudly.
Raen:
"ARICUS! YOU DID IT! YOU AREN'T USELESS ANYMORE!"
Aricus ignored him.
He pointed his sword at Lare.
Aricus:
"Lare.
We're equal now.
Let's see… who's stronger."
Lare grinned.
Lare:
"Come, prince. I'll beat you with one finger."
But before they could clash—
Two gigantic eyes appeared in the sky.
Only Lare, Aricus, and Raen could see them.
One eye shone with divine light—the Supreme God.
The other burned with ancient power—the Frequent God.
Their voices echoed silently through the boys' minds:
"Children… you have taken your firststeps."
The air went still.
The world felt frozen.
Then—everything snapped back to normal.
Harvis looked around confused.
Harvis:
"…Why are you three staring at the sky like idiots?"
Raen whispered:
Raen:
"…You didn't see that?"
Harvis:
"No."
The three kept silent.
Some things were only meant for chosen monsters.
