Chapter 1
The Boy Who Died, and the World That Chose Him**
Lare lay on the hospital bed, staring at the white ceiling that felt colder than winter.
The machines around him beeped slowly… slower… slower… until they no longer sounded like machines, but like a countdown.
Doctors whispered.
Nurses whispered.
Even his own heart whispered:
"This is the end."
Cancer had eaten him alive.
Every breath felt like a knife in his chest.
Lare forced a small smile.
"So… this is it? I didn't even become strong once in this life…"
His hand trembled as he touched the blanket.
"I wanted… just one chance. To fight… to stand… to live."
The lights flickered.
His heartbeat fell into silence.
Flatline.
And the world faded—
Not into darkness, but into a strange, warm light.
A voice echoed in the void.
> [RECOGNIZED: WISH FOR STRENGTH]
[SOUL REASSIGNMENT INITIATED]
Lare felt something pulling him—
Something huge, divine, ancient.
Then—
A heartbeat.
Not from a hospital bed.
But from a completely different world.
He opened his eyes to the sound of shouting, clashing steel, and explosions.
And the first thing he heard was:
"SEVENTH SON! MOVE, LA–RE!!"
Lare shot up from the muddy ground, confused.
He was wearing armor.
A sword was in his hand.
And hundreds of soldiers were rushing up a mountain path, engaged in a chaotic battle.
"What the—!?"
An arrow whistled straight toward his face.
He froze.
But a figure blurred past in an instant.
SLASH!
The arrow split in two.
Raen stood there—sharp eyes, messy black hair, and a voice filled with irritation.
"Hey, idiot Lare! Why are you standing like a tree!? Do you have metal inside your brain!?"
Lare blinked.
"…Raen?"
He didn't know this person.
But somehow… he felt familiar.
Raen stomped toward him.
"You're acting weird lately! Did you hit your head in training again!?"
Lare grabbed him lightly.
"Raen… I think someone put magic on me. My memories… everything feels strange. Can you tell me who I am?"
Raen's face froze.
His eyes widened.
Then—
"WHAT!?" he screamed so loudly the griffins in the sky flinched.
"You—you really reached mental unconscious state by over-training!?"
He grabbed Lare's shoulders.
"LISTEN! YOU ARE Lare! Seventh young master of the Demon Meridian Group, West Larwine Continent!
I'm Raen, your childhood friend from the Raven Meridian Group of the South!
I'm also the last sixth son!"
Lare stared at him.
"…So that means we're nobles?"
"Yes!" Raen smacked his head. "But you only know basic swordsmanship, so your family sent you here to the battalion."
Lare thought about it.
So he died… and was reborn in a world of mana, swordsmanship, and beasts.
Suddenly—
A blue screen flashed in front of him.

Lare whispered,
"So… this is reincarnation."
Raen poked his head.
"HEY. Stop spacing out! We're in a battle!"
Lare looked ahead.
The mountain was filled with flying griffins, soldiers clashing, magic bursting in the air.
The world he always wished for.
The chance he never had.
Lare gripped his sword tightly.
A smile crept onto his lips.
"Let's go."
Raen grinned.
"That's the Lare I know!"
Both sprinted forward, blades shining.
And Lare stepped into his new destiny.
