Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: “Vali, Who Nearly Got Killed by Izumi”

Aside from magic power, Izumi felt every part of his body surge with absurd reinforcement—strength, speed, perception, reaction, everything.

Rias and Sona, standing closest to him, were the first to notice the shift in his presence. Before they could even ask—

Izumi vanished.

In the blink of an eye, he reappeared directly in front of Kokabiel.

"So," Izumi said flatly, "are you actually here to fight? Or just perform a monologue for us?"

As he spoke, an enormous weapon materialized in his hand—a blade so massive its very shape felt like a threat.

Zanzan-Ken, the Mountain-Cleaving Sword.

A weapon so oversized it would terrify anyone who saw it.

But in Izumi's hands, he swung it like a fly swatter.

Kokabiel, completely caught off guard by Izumi's sudden burst of power, didn't even react.

Izumi swung downward.

And the Twelve-Winged Fallen Angel—the almighty Kokabiel—was slapped out of his throne like a flying insect.

He crashed toward the ground, trailing feathers and dignity.

Izumi's transcendent state would only last five minutes. But that was more than long enough to kill someone like Kokabiel several times over.

With infinite magic and all stats boosted to transcendent-class,Izumi now completely eclipsed Kokabiel.

In front of a transcendent being, an S+ rank was nothing more than a disposable NPC waiting to die.

No wonder so few could reach SS-rank over the years.

A thunderous impact rang out—

BOOM.

Kokabiel hit the ground like a falling meteor.

Izumi, who couldn't fly, descended more slowly.By the time he landed, the Mountain-Cleaving Sword dissolved from his grip.

But he wasn't done.

His eyes swept across the remaining Fallen Angels.

Magic gathered around him—

And then, in a flash, countless mythic weapons appeared and shot forward, piercing the Fallen Angels in every direction.

Everything happened in less than a second.

Everyone stared, stunned silent.

Especially Rias and Sona. The two devil heiresses couldn't believe what they were seeing.

This was… Izumi?This monster-level power?

Bodies hit the ground around them, pierced clean through. The campus echoed with the sickening sounds—

shhk— shhk— shhk—

When Izumi finally landed, the impact created a crater beneath his feet, sending dust everywhere.

Kokabiel, regaining his senses, staggered to his feet.

His wings were tattered.Feathers everywhere. He looked exactly like a plucked chicken who'd just lost a bar fight.

"You… you bastard!!""Damn it, what ARE you!?"

His voice cracked with panic and rage.

This wasn't human strength. This wasn't even devil strength.

It was something beyond.

Izumi didn't bother answering.

Instead—he summoned a projected spear and threw it instantly.

His transcendent state boosted even his firing speed.

The spear turned into a streak of blue light—

—and pierced Kokabiel's wings clean through.

"GYAAAAAA!!"

Kokabiel's scream tore through the air.

Izumi didn't react. Not even a flicker of emotion.

He dashed forward, a sword forming in his hand as he swung downward.

The S+ Fallen Angel was nothing more than a lamb waiting for slaughter.

Kokabiel desperately formed a defensive magic circle.

But the moment it appeared—

Izumi shattered it.

Along with Kokabiel's arm.

"AAAAAAHHHHH!!"

Izumi didn't flinch.

If anything, Kokabiel's screaming annoyed him further.

Izumi lifted a foot and kicked.

Kokabiel was sent flying over ten meters, rolling across the dirt pathetically.

"What a disgusting creature."

Izumi's eyes reflected pure disdain.

He hated Fallen Angels like Kokabiel.Even talking to him felt like a waste of oxygen.

He was ready to end it.

Sword in hand, he stepped forward—

—when a voice suddenly echoed from the sky.

[I, who awaken—]

[Am the White Dragon Emperor who seizes all through domination—]

[My body craves the infinite, my heart seeks the imaginary—]

[Behold the supremacy of the Vanquishing White Dragon—]

[Juggernaut Drive.]

Izumi looked up.

A massive magic circle opened in the sky.A figure clad in white dragon armor, with wings like high-tech light constructs, emerged.

The armor's brilliance illuminated the battlefield.

Then the armored figure dove toward the ground—aiming straight for Kokabiel.

Izumi recognized the presence immediately.

The White Dragon Emperor, Vali.

He must've been here for a while, hiding his presence.Otherwise, he wouldn't have slipped into the barrier.

And of course—his target was Kokabiel.

Izumi was not going to allow that.

Just as Vali closed in—

Izumi moved.

The Mountain-Cleaving Sword reappeared in his grasp.

And he swung it.

BOOM!!

[Vali, BE CAREFUL!!]Albion's voice rang out in panic.

Vali reacted, raising both arms to block—

But even then—

He was swatted out of the air like a fly and smashed straight into the barrier.

CRACK— CRACK—

"Ghu—!?"

Just one hit.

One.

And the White Dragon Emperor coughed blood.

Izumi dispersed the giant sword and said expressionlessly:

"White Dragon Emperor, huh? Too bad."

"This guy is NOT yours."

"So go play somewhere else."

He vanished.

Reappeared in front of the horrified Kokabiel.

And without hesitation—drove a sword straight through Kokabiel's chest.

"NO—!!"

"Gah— cough, cough—!"

Blood sprayed out.Kokabiel stared at him, eyes wide, full of rage, disbelief, and unwillingness.

He never imagined he would die like this—without dignity, without resistance.

His body trembled, his eyes fixed in horror—

And then the light faded.

He died with his eyes open.

Truly, a death without closure.
