"Yes sir," she answered with a small nod.
"Nice to meet you," he said as he stepped out of the car. The chauffeur opened the back seat for her. Once she settled in, he returned to the driver's side and they began to move.
Riley quickly shared her location with her best friend. Her hand shook a little as she did it. She did not know why the ride to her employer's house made her heart skip like this. So many questions kept running through her mind. Who was this employer really. And why did he refuse to reveal his identity or even allow her to know where she was going until now.
It felt strange and a bit frightening, but she reminded herself why she agreed to everything. For her mom's sake, she had to follow the rules of the contract and keep quiet for now.
