There was once a hero who stood high and strong
But tragedy struck and wished to have his life prolong
Though dangers have made haste, he had to remain steadfast
Nearing the end of time, he knew that he had to act real fast.
With the light that shone so bright
He had to choose whether to fight or flight.
His chosen outcome had taken him to bigger heights
The blessing given to him was to ensure the world of better nights.
As time went on, the world remained in stability
But the hero had begun to feel a sense of futility
His life had begun to feel as hollow and waited for a phenomenon
As miracles would give it, he was reunited by someone he could rely on.
Ah, what a beautiful ballad.
Welcome back, reader.
Allow me to introduce to you to my beloved firespark Athena Ardenvain.
When I first laid my eyes upon her, I was but a simple boy living in a world filled with danger.
She stood out amongst the people in the battlefield, she was a girl filled with confidence, her charm was without a doubt a captivating presence but I knew that she wasn't just some ordinary girl you would see every day.
She was a warrior who cut her way into the battlefield, fighting for a purpose- the freedom of our homeland and to be reunited with her beloved parents.
That alone moved me and made me want to become comrades with her.
She could manipulate both fire and ice- two polar opposites that contradict one another and yet both concepts suit her flair in the most tedious battles.
I found myself being drawn by the way she was popular amongst the people- she was kind to the poor, respects all with justness, an ideal maiden to the eyes of the people.
That being said, I could not help but feel bad for her at times. Putting the weight of burden in your shoulders every day fighting tirelessly, it would drive someone to their own breaking point.
I once asked her why would she continue fighting for the kingdom when she had already attained her own personal goals.
And then she hit me with a phrase that I'll never forget for the rest of my life.
"My purpose? Well you may have proven yourself to be correct, I have helped in freeing the kingdom from Odopholis the tyrant and found my parents through your help yet- helping is something that cannot be stopped, it's something that should not be ignored, even a single ounce of help can help make a difference in this world that we live in..."
That was something ridiculous and yet- I was also affected by this ideal of hers.
And so we became fighting partners- fighting against dangers that may lay ahead.
But we're now past those moments in time, we went from being close friends to falling in love with one another.
Back then we were too shy to confess to one another, neither one of us knowing we both reciprocated feelings for the other.
And then- it took one night to profess it all.
"I was meaning to tell you this but I figured that this would be the perfect moment to showcase my feelings towards you, I knew if I didn't say this sooner, I wouldn't even have a chance- what I'm trying to say is, I love you Creo..."
There it was- she confessed her feelings first to me, underneath a forest with an open sky, the darkness being cleared by the bright light of the moon and the stars aligning for this moment.
It was as if time had stopped itself just for this very moment.
I was lost in the moment, my thoughts racing, I knew I shouldn't keep her waiting and so- I made my move.
I walked towards her, determined, I took her hand, holding it tightly but gentle, her eyes gazing and looking at me, reaching her hand to caress my cheek as I leaned close to give her wanted answer: a kiss.
"I appreciate your sincere feelings for me Athena, it makes my heart flutter knowing that your love for me is as deep as the waters- ever flowing and never ceasing to end..."
Her reaction was absolutely priceless, her face heated up and blushed, she was as red as a tomato. I could never forget it.
We enjoyed each other's company during that night, embracing one another and sleeping underneath the stars.
The years passed by and we eventually got married and said our vows to one another.
"I, as the husband/wife to my dearly beloved wife/husband, vow to love and care for one another and to stay true and faithful through thick or thin, whether in sickness or the world's end that we would never leave each other's side till death do us part."
It was impactful for me that someone who didn't saw me as a godlike figure- she saw me for what I am, the real me.
Just a simple man who would love their significant other with all the love and care he would give them.
Looking back at it, it made me shed a tear for it was such a priceless moment that nothing could ever replace.
And now hat she's here with me, I feel like I'm safe and back to where I belong to.
"I do have to ask you Athena, how did you manage to find me?" I asked, waiting for her response.
"Honestly I'm quite confused myself, I remember back in Elderith I've been waiting for you and one night, this bright light appeared before me in my dreams..." She replied with uncertainty.
"I was afraid at first but it assured me that they won't hurt me and that they'll take me to you, I decided to follow it while still being careful and then I saw the castle that was up ahead and I just know that from the presence, it was yours..." Athena sighed, leaning closer to him.
I see, well I was expecting her to say 'it's due to our love' or something like that but this feels more logical.
She wrapped her arms around him and looked at his eyes, noticing how bright his Kontroligan Eyes.
Athena tilted her head. "I've always wondered if you ever got tired of using your Kontroligan Eyes?" She asked softly.
I froze for a moment, she was without a doubt correct with her intuition, I have become so dependent on my usage of the Kontroligan Eyes, that sometimes whenever I operate, I feel a strain in them.
But then again, these help me maintain order and stability over the entire story.
What she said next made me tremble.
"You know, it's been so long since we last reunited that I want to reignite our passion..." A mischievous grin playing on her face.
I already knew what she had in mind and I was deeply craving it.
She stood up from the bed and faced me, holding the end of the ribbon on her dress. "I want you to look at me, I don't want your eyes to divert or look elsewhere, your attention shall be on me..."
She pulled the ribbon, her dress slowly falling off, she let it slide down her body, revealing her simple but petite figure.
"Isn't your wife beautiful Creo?" She chuckled, biting her lip.
I could not look away from her and I stood up from the bed and leaned in closer, neither one of us pulling away.
I pulled her closer, deepening my kiss, embracing her tightly, as I pulled her down on the bed with me.
In the heat of the moment, I took advantage of the situation and we had made love with one another, tossing and turning, not letting go of one another and neither one of us wanted to stop.
As the hours passed, we eventually finished, we lay there, our breaths were heavy, gasping for air but we kept holding our hands together, not wanting to let go after being separated for so long.
I remember that Existence told me of a parable of four important things that maintain stability.
The Will of Creation
The Echo of Meaning
The Law of Order and Continuity
And finally
The Reversal Impulse
Based on my gathered information, I am the Will of Creation.
Athena's case, she wouldn't be here without a purpose so she could basically be the echo of meaning.
You'd probably ask yourself what does the echo of meaning represent?
Well according to a story existence told me, the echo of meaning is the one that basically represents the calm after the storm, the one that would be the clarity and the one who would guide them even if they are chaotic or fractured.
Honestly it fits her very well. Her life was all about being empathetic to her surroundings and its poetic if you ask me.
She was already powerful and was possessed one time by a demon goddess, well if this makes her be able to be reunited with me in this eternity, I won't mind it.
She opened her eyes and looked at me while I was keeping her warm and leaned in closer.
"I missed this...will you be right here when I wake up?" She asked me softly, holding me tightly with a sweet embrace.
"Of course I would, I won't be leaving your side ever again..." I smiled, playing with her hair.
This night was perfect- it was good that I had some rest once in a while. Then again, I should venture off to find the other two hosts of the fragments.
Or else.
Fiction itself will destabilize if order isn't established.
