B's POV
"Class is so boring today," Joy whispered, and honestly, I agreed—no drama, just dull.
"No, it's not. You're just being lazy," Treasure replied, ever the calm one.
"No, it is boring," I said, and a triumphant smile lit up Joy's face.
"You always support me," she said, beaming.
"Will you guys shut up? Seems you forgot the teacher is still in class," Cai hissed, but loud enough for me to hear.
"Cai, stand up," the teacher suddenly called. We were the ones talking, yet he got caught.
"But I wasn't talking!" he whined, getting up anyway.
"So, we're talking about sexualities," the teacher continued. Wait, was that the actual topic?
"We were?" Cai said, clearly just as clueless as the rest of us.
"Which means you weren't listening. So let me ask you: what is the full meaning of LGBTQ?" the teacher asked.
"Um… let me see. Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer," Cai answered. I was honestly surprised he got it right.
"Correct. You may sit."
I was low-key giggling at him until—
"B," the teacher called.
I stood up instantly.
"Explain the terms your brother just listed."
Screwed.
"Lesbian is when a girl likes only girls. Gay is the opposite—boys who like boys. Bi is when someone likes both genders. Transgender is… complicated. It's when someone feels like the gender opposite of what they were born as and sometimes changes their body to match that."
"Since when were you so smart?" Cai muttered.
"Shut up."
"Joy, what's your sexuality?" the teacher asked. Why was she targeting us like this?
"Lesbian," Joy said calmly.
I blinked. She looked straight as a flagpole—definitely gives top energy. Everyone was shocked.
"I dated a girl at my old school. That MF. I only like girls. This is sociology, not biology for God's sake. I don't know why you're so obsessed with our sexualities. You're supposed to teach us how to be social, not sexual," she finished, calm as hell. I thought she was mafia for five minutes. The class went silent—including the teacher.
Joy and I both hate our ex.What a wonderful thing to have in common.
"Uh… so how about I give you an assignment instead?"
Of course.
"You are to find five LGBTQ students in the school—not your classmates—and write an essay about their life and coming out stories. There will be a presentation a week after you submit the written assignment. You have two weeks. Don't fake this. Your seniors told your homeroom teacher that you all only talk to each other and ignore everyone else. Except B and her crew who talk to Gav."
What's their business with who we talk to?
"You don't expect us to talk to people below us, do you?" Treasure said casually.
Bam!
My influence is definitely rubbing off on them. The shock on their faces? Priceless.
"From now on, Joy, Treasure, Cai, and B, you're not allowed to talk in my class."
Harsh.
"We're just speaking the truth, and the truth is bitter," I said.
"What did I say about not talking?"
"I thought class was over. Girls, let's go. We've got a 'sexuality' assignment to do," Cai said, and we all got up.
"That was rude, right?" Treasure asked as we walked out.
"The teacher's obsessed with B because she likes her," Cai said.
Not surprised. I'm hot and I know it.
"I don't date oldies," I muttered. She's like 28. I'm 16. She's delulu.
"Wait, you like girls?" Joy asked.
"Yeah, she's bi. But she likes girls more," Cai answered.
"Let's go tell Reel we're heading home," I suggested.
"And how do you expect to do that? He has classes," Joy replied.
"Just follow me."
When we got to Gav's class, he looked almost as bored as us—yawning every two seconds.
"Excuse me," I said, grabbing everyone's attention.
"Yes?" his teacher asked.
"I'm here for Gavreel Adrien Williams. We have a sociology assignment to find LGBTQ students and write about them. My childhood friend Gav is gay, so I've got the G in LGBTQ. He won't be in class today—we've got two days to do this part."
I lied with a straight face. Everyone stared at Gav.
"B, you didn't have to help me come out to the whole class, but thank you for getting me out of this hellhole," Gav said, his eyes all sparkly.
"You coming or should I drag you out?" I said, threateningly.
"Gav, you can go. I'll inform your homeroom teacher," the teacher said. Gav bolted to the door before she even finished.
"You looked like you were already halfway gone," someone in his class said.
"I'm bored," Gav mouthed back.
"Let's go. I'm tired," I sighed dramatically.
"Let me carry you," Reel said. He literally picked me up.
The bell rang right then, and everyone saw him carrying me out like we were some cute couple.
"Can you guys stop? You're embarrassing. Right, Joy?" Cai asked.
"Nope. They look cute. BReel could be a thing, right Treasure?" Joy asked.
Treasure stared at us for a long moment. "Nah, I see CaiReel instead.
Why was everyone shipping them?
"Why is everyone shipping us?" Cai muttered blushing at the same time as we reached the parking lot.
"Does that mean you don't like me?" Gav asked, giving Cai puppy eyes.
"I never said that," Cai said.
"So, you do like him?" Joy pressed.
"I didn't say that either," he snapped.
Their banter was gold.
Then my phone rang. Jade.(My brother.)
Me: What?
Jade: That's no way to speak to your brother.
Was he trying to sound olderm
Bleh.
Me: What do you want?
Jade: I'm at the airport.
Me: (Shocked) What do you mean, you're at the airport?
He hung up. Classic.
"Wait, Jade's at the airport?" Cai asked, perking up.
"You mean Jade is back?" Gav asked.
"Who is Jade?" Treasure blinked.
"Your handsome driver?" Joy added.
Perfect timing—Jade (the driver) pulled up.
"Jade, I've got somewhere to go," I said, shoving him out of the driver's seat.
"Get in," I told everyone as I climbed into the driver seat.
"What about me?" Jade asked.
"Take a taxi," Cai said as he got in.
"You drive now?" He asked.
"No time to explain."
"Joy, Treasure, if you value your life, put your seatbelts on—she drives like a maniac," Gav warned.
"Since when can you drive?" Cai asked.
"Since late middle school," I replied, stepping on the gas.
It normally takes 20 minutes to get to the airport.
I got us there in 8.
Joy and Cai were puking the second I stopped the car, but I didn't care. I ran inside.
Something felt weird. Like someone was watching me.
"Told you," Reel said. "How are you this chill, Treasure?"
"I drive bikes," she shrugged.
"Ah. Makes sense."
"Hey, B!" I heard.
I turned—and it was Jade. The Jade.
I ran and hugged him tight. I missed him like crazy. After our hug, I turned to Joy and Treasure, who looked shocked.
"You okay? You were puking earlier. Want water?" I asked Joy.
Cai gave me the "What about me?" look.
"There's something weird about this airport," Cai whispered.
"I know," Gav added.
"I-I'm fine. Who the hell is that?" Joy asked, pointing at Jade.
"Since when does Cai have a clone?" Treasure said.
"Handling One Cai is already a hassle"Joy added
"I'm not anyone's clone. I'm Almond, but I go by Jade. B and Cai's other twin," he introduced himself.
Then—BANG.
Gunshot.
"I knew something was off," Jade said.
"Everyone on your knees!" a man with a gun shouted
Everyone dropped—except us.Obvi.
"Jade," Cai and I said at the same time. Of course this was his fault.
"Sorry. Thought I took care of them," Jade muttered.
"This is going to be so exciting," Reel said, grinning.
"Seriously?" Treasure asked, confused.
"What do you guys even do?" Joy whispered.
"Are you deaf?" the gunman shouted again.
"I kneel for no one," Joy said with the same loud voice. Wow, she's not scared.
Well that's a first,For someone that has a gun pointed straight to her.
The guy with the gun was dumbfounded and had no words.
"Of course I'm not blind "she replied,Cocky,Love it.
"Wait, don't you see the gun?" The man asked.
"I've seen more better guns," Treasure said.
"You're holding a pistol without a silencer, and I don't think this thing has any more bullets," Gav said, embarrassing the man.
"And you are not even wearing a mask! Are you blind? There are hundreds of CCTVs in this airport. The police would easily catch you," Cai added. The man was clearly so angry.
"To make it worse, you came alone. To me, you are a street thug," Jade added.
"And you are messing with the wrong person. If you value your life and don't want to die right now, you should run," I told the guy. And it's not an empty threat. I've dealt with more stronger people.
I walked closer to him, clearly scared. I don't know why people get scared of me.
"So will you drop the gun now, or do you want a bullet in your head?" I whispered in his ear.
While Gav and the rest of us seemed calm, the people at the airport were clearly about to pee in their pants.Like that what a normal person would do but we are clearly not normal.
"You are wrong, he didn't come alone," A guy with dirty blonde hair just like Joy and Gav said.
Suddenly many people started approaching us, and I could feel some of them had magic powers.
Sometimes I forget that I live in a world where some people have magic powers.
"Like seriously, I didn't sign up for this when I woke up this morning," Cai said clearly frustrated.
"This is going to be a lot of fun," Reel said clearly excited.
"Can you shoot?" I asked Joy and Treasure.
"What?" They asked in shock.
"She said can you shoot?" Jade said, repeating what I said.
"We aren't deaf, Cai!" they screamed at him.
"Ohh,It Jade not Cai" he said.
Suddenly Pearl appeared out of nowhere.
"She's definitely my knight in shining brown short hair, I mean armor," I said smiling.
She was carrying a little bag, and she started staring at the CCTVs one by one — and they all exploded.
"Wow, Pearl, you have powers," Reel said clearly amazed.
"Yeah," she said clearly in a hurry.
She opened the bag and gave each of us a weapon.
She gave everyone a small pistol with a silencer and a little bag with bullets, Reel smiled like he got a toy, except Joy and I — she gave us daggers. While it was like she had a built-in katana, she was so fast in giving us everything, she was like flash. She's so cool.
"Wow, you came prepared," the guy with dirty blonde hair said.
"So who wants to die first?" I asked as I threw a dagger at the stupid man's head, the first one who came.
One gone many more to go.
I went closer to him and removed the dagger.
Suddenly a guy appeared at Joy's back. I was too late to notice, but she quickly stabbed him in the neck, shoulder, and lower abdomen at a vital point, and he was down.
She surprises me all the time.
The guy with dirty blonde hair was taken aback, in fact, we were all taken aback, but we didn't show it.
"What? I'm not ready to die. I haven't taken my revenge on that motherf***er called Jane. I haven't found my elder brother. My moms are still apart. My baby siblings I haven't met yet. I don't watch killer documentaries for nothing. And also, I don't plan on being the only child for long and I don't plan on dying now," Joy said clearly in a frenzy. Her killing intent was strong.
And I love it.
"If that's the case, let's party,Baby" Jade said.
I shouldn't have worn white at all,My worst mistake Cos things are about to get Bloody.Oh yeah
